Sent them a pix of the cylinder head I needed, gave them the casting # off of mine, This is a honda 3.5 with VVT , They sent me a bare cylinder head without a camshaft in it. No VVT , They said it was bad communication on my part and theirs , I sent you Multiple Picture ,,,,,,,,, Sent back their cylinder head. But they are binging me for shipping. Bad Phone Manners . Very Disappointed . Who sales a cylinder head with out a cam in it. NEVER even asked If I wanted a camshaft in it. OF course I want a camshaft in it. WOW FN WOW

I had a head for a truck I was working on there for 6 months. These guys are awesome. They stored it for that amount of time and did not charge me for it. Not to mention, the staff was super helpful and understanding. 5/5

Really thought i could trust the Boss, i dropped off my block for honing (1 bank) and heads for resurfacing. I should have known I was getting scammed when he "didnt know" how much it would cost me, despite having owned the place for some 50 years... got it back three weeks later after reminding him of it, and found out after paying $400 that he had not even measured it. I took it to AVmachine.net in San Jose who immediately ran measurements without a word, LO & BEHOLD the bank ACH honed were .5 out... completely unusable... had the whole block re-bored, crank polished, added new pistons/rings all assembled for 600... These guys have nothing to blame but high prices (bad process) and callous carelessness for their failure!

Brought my head for my Bronco down there to exchange it for a rebuilt one. When they looked at mine , they said I don't need a new one. They repaired mine , saved me from buying a new one. They did a great job and a quick turnaround. Will use them anytime.

I purchased a set of heads from AutoZone that came from American. From the first set, 1 had a defect in the head. I called American to let them know and first they told me they don't weld the heads, then a tech came on and said yes they do weld they heads, but sometimes they don't get machined correctly and sometimes mistakes happen. HA! I took it back to AutoZone and they ordered me a replacement. The replacement came and it too was defective in the same place. I am not going to do this a third time. AutoZone customer service was great and took care of me; however, American Cylinder Head needs to have their ISO certification taken away, because it is obvious quality checks are not taking place.

This place took two months to finish my job and then I picked it up and realized that they lost my custom powder coated valve cover. Customer service is awful. They never return calls. Now after over five hundred dollars on repairs I have to source and buy replacement parts that this shop lost. The brand new valve cover and exhaust gaskets that were on my head when it was dropped off were disposed of and couldnot be recovered. costing me an additional $150. The work order/receipt didn't really say anything about what the service entailed just that it was "rebuilt" so there's no way of knowing how much time was spent on the job, how bad the head was or what was actually covered in the rebuild. Edit: after putting me off, not returning calls and generally acting like there was absolutely no way they lost my parts they called me 3 weeks later and said that while moving parts around for another customer's job my valve cover turned up. (basically admitting they weren't even looking for my lost parts) So eventually i got the valve cover back but it cost me a lot of wasted time and a few lost trips to my workshop 3 hours away...

I exchanged my Cummins ISX15 cylinderhead for one of their rebuilt cylinderheads. 6 months later my truck is in the shop. Mechanic says that it has a dropped intake valve seat or valve. Took the head off and sent it back to American Cylinderhead - I verified it had at least a 1 year warranty on the replacement cylinderhead and that it was still under warranty. They replied backed telling me that the head must have overheated and they would not honor the warranty. Full disclosure - they offered me half off the price of purchasing another rebuilt cylinderhead, which I refused. No need to repeat the same mistake. This company will say anything to get your business but won't stand behind their product or service. What good is offering a warranty that you will not honor? This customer will not do business with American Cylinderhead again. My advice, read the reviews and talk to others. Reputation in business says a lot about a company.

I took my block in to have the deck resurfaced, and to have my heads resurfaced and rebuilt. After 5 calls, and a week and a half of trying to just get an estimate, they finally told me it was going to cost me $900. It took 3 weeks for them to finally finish the job, and when I got there to pick up my parts, the block was covered in surface rust, grease, and fingerprints. I had to wait another hour for them to get rid of the surface rust, and the grease and fingerprints were still there. As a mechanic myself, I regret taking my parts here. Look elsewhere unless you have a couple weeks to wait with no communication from the shop, and feel like cleaning your parts after you get them back. I will NEVER go back here again....

Warning: Avoid American Cylinder Head at all costs! They promise warranty coverage but fail to back up their work. I've had two cylinder heads fail within 2500 miles, and both warranty claims were denied. The company makes excuses and lies to get out of honoring their warranty. The owner is unresponsive, and employees cover for her. Don't fall for their false promises. Terrible experience, and I won't be returning." NO WARRANTY OFFERED HERE. THEIR WORK NEVER COMES OUT GOOD. They offer warranty, but it’s fake!!! Picture proves Second diagnostic at a different shop. A crack that was fixed before on that head from the shop was not done correctly, it was still leaking. Worst place ever

If you value your equipment don't come to them. Not even 2,800 miles and their rebuild head failed. I purchased all new piston, liner, head gasket direct from Freightliner ect. Horrible service took over 1 month to get feed back and Customer service was the worse. Do not deal with them. I have all my paperwork and miles to prove everything.
