Hello just wanted to write a review about this place because it has awful customer service and their head mechanic Brett is quite the degenerate. I had brought my car to be checked out before selling it and Brett thought he can take my car on the road which is unregistered and insured under my name without a dealer plate, after I told him no he got heated and we started going back and forth until he decided to call the POLICE over his wrongdoing. Anyway don’t recommend this place to anyone who wants a real good mechanic.

Amity is really good. They are a bit expensive, but they do good work, and the one time something they did broke off they honored the warranty and fixed it for free with no hassle. Sometimes it can be a little bit of a wait to get your car in, we use them regularly if I really need them to squeeze me in they'll try to make it work. There are really busy shop, and sometimes they forget to call me when they said they would but all in all they're pretty nice, they are honest about it when there's unforseen problems, show you the actual parts and places for things, if you ask what the deal is, and they fix my car for a lot cheaper and than a dealer would.

I have been a client at Amity Motors for over 7 years. Craig is great! Always addresses all my concerns and now that my son is driving my old Saab, he takes care of both of us. Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!! Great service, especially if you have a foreign car!

We choose Amity Motors because of their fantastic reviews, but the service we received was deplorable. Dropped the car off on Monday for oil leak repair and engine light and didn't hear back from them until Wednesday. Called Monday and Tuesday to check in, didn't receive a call back. They told us we could have the car back on Friday, but then they informed us on Friday morning that the engine light issue wasn't evaluated and they were just getting around to it the day we were supposed to pick the car up. Not once did they call us with updates, we had to call and they failed to properly evaluate the car. Terrible service so just goes to show you that you can't always trust reviews to determine where to take your car for repairs.

I’m continually amazed at my experiences at Amity Motors. Everyone there is unbelievably caring and thoughtful. They go above and beyond what’s expected of an auto repair shop. They’ve always been honest with me and I trust them. They’ve even passed on jobs because it was in my best interest. I would recommend Brett, Scott, and Amity motors to anyone.

I have been dealing with Amity Motors for several years now and have always been pleased with the service. Their tech mechanics each have areas of expertise, that are always there to tackle any problem you present, along with routine maintenance. Inspections and work is always done with the safety of the customer in mind. I have found their prices fair and willing to "work with you" should as issue arise. ALL of the employees are professional, respectful , listen well and come across as enjoying working there. I look forward to continuing to have a relationship with them!

Highly recommend NOT using this shop for repairs on your vehicle. I brought my car in for low oil pressure and other check engine lights. They did the oil change and told me I was good to go. 35 minutes after picking up my car from the shop, I heard a loud noise that sounds like a flat tire. I was on 91 in Hartford and pulled over to check it out. I looked under the car and saw that the engine shield also known as the skid plate, dragging on the ground and held on by just TWO bolts. For me to safely drive I had to get under and literally rip the plate off from the bolts. The engine shield was wrecked and now I have to purchase another one. I called the shop and they told me the owner would give me a call. Ofcoarse he never did and now I'm out even more money. This is just another example of a shop taking advantage of its customers and doing shady work all while not taking responsibility for THIER mistake. This could have easily been avoidable if the shop properly installed the engine shield. Be aware and DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP WITH YOUR VEHICLE.

Amity Motors took care of the issue with my vehicle that had me stressed out. I brought it to a different place then they referred me to Amity. That alone said Alot. They had my vehicle ready in a timely manner and a reasonable price. This was paramount being on a budget as most people are these days it was a relief I wasn't paying an arm and a leg. If there's any issue I may have (hopefully not) I would gladly return and trust my vehicle and wallet are in good capable hands

Trusted all the reviews, but the shop is sketchy. They were very cagey about giving the exact parts they were using, only saying "ameribrake or centric" after I asked multiple times. You'll notice those are brands, not the models. They are charging premium prices while using budget options. Owner also has a temper and will threaten a $400 dollar fee just to leave when you ask about the quote, even though they hadn't started work.
