I had quite a scare on my drive from PA to Boston. I googled auto-shops in the area and came across JP Motors LLC. They were gracious enough to squeeze me in, look at my car, fix the problem, and all within a few hours. Wonderful experience from dropping the car off to picking it up. The team stays in communication throughout the repairs and maintenance. They did a great job inspecting the car as well and made me aware of some critical issues I was able to resolve quickly. I cannot say enough how kind and helpful Haley has been every time I have gone to JP Motors. It is nice to be greeted with a smiling face as soon as I walk in. After my warranty with Mercedes ended i tried a bunch of various shops for general maintenance. Until i needed some specialized work it became quite difficult to find a shop either willing or able. Found JP and i am very pleased! I’ve never been an automotive technician but I’ve had project vehicles so i know what’s going on. They didn’t try and up sell me any particular maintenance or say something completely outlandish. They’re very thorough and to that I’m very grateful. Sure there’s cheaper routes you can go but there’s something to the peace of mind in knowing they’re thorough. 10/10 recommend if you have a foreign vehicle.

Joe,Scott,Hailey and the crew at JP Motors are Amazing!! I have a Mini,so finding a repair shop that understood how to actually diagnose and fix my car was priority.I don't say this lightly....They have twice had to fix what other shops did WRONG! I have since learned to call them at the first sign of trouble, as well as for routine service to keep "Gidget the Mini" running smoothly. Finally,and to me...most important...this business pays attention to their customer's needs and makes sure that even AFTER I pick up my car,ask 1000 questions and drive away satisfied...Joe or Scott will text me to find out if everything is still running smoothly a day or two later. That Peace of Mind....is Priceless.

Genuinely disappointed on this one: Brought the car in for an inspection after hitting debris on the highway, and got an oil change while I was there since it was due. Not sure if they've gotten new techs, it was a horrible day, or what, but they really messed things up here. - Used wrong oil (Put in 5W synthetic, despite 0W being recommended). - Didn't replace three screws that came off during debris hit, used zip ties instead without asking me (I could have done that at home). - Didn't even use three zip ties, leaving one open hole on rocker panel, despite me specifically mentioning it being missing there. It was still missing after service. - Put wrong date on everything (Vehicle was serviced 9/19/2022, window sticker shows the 16th). - Left grease/oil on armrest, which I had to clean off. (To be fair, I only noticed this because I had detailed the car the week prior and it stood out a lot). - Didn't close the hood all the way (Had to pull over down the street and close both latches myself, since it was bouncing around on the passenger side). I don't know what's going on there, but they need to address these kinds of things! Used to recommend the place, but if they can't do the services right, or even use the right oil weight, then I can't trust them with the car anymore and might as well go back to a dealer. Such a letdown.

They took the time to do the diagnosis and then show me what the problem was and then went over the entire vehicle with me to show me what could be problems in the future. My 2001 Jaguar XJR 4.2L Supercharged suddenly died on me in Coventry in a store parking lot. Started, revved but stalled after 15 seconds. Been there, done that before. I've had 6 Jags and an Aston-Martin DB7. So I'm used to temperamental UK cars. It Had an ambient intake air TEMP sensor code, so I cleaned the MAF/TEMP SENSOR wire with a nappy. Put in more gas, I was at 1/8 tank. Jumped the battery, which was at 12.1 volts. Still stalled. Had it towed 58 miles to JP Motors at midnight. They have always been my Go-To shop for 10 years and have never failed me. I had a new MAF sensor coming in the next day which I put in in the lot. Still same. As Dirty Harry said, "A man's gotta know his limitations." I turned it over to them. A very thorough and detailed and documented diagnostic was done and showed it had two in tank fuel pumps. A secondary one for the supercharger. When starting, both pumps are energized. Then the supercharger pump drops off after 15 seconds. Thats when it stalled. Turn out that the main pump was bad as demonstrated by jumping the supercharger FUEL PUMP,, AFTER A THOROUGH WIRING AND RELAY CHECK. SOUP TO NUTS. and it ran Perfectly. PROBLEM IDENTIFIED: PUMP 1 DEFECTIVE. The rest of the job was perfect replacing both pumps. It was very involved and the tank is in back of the rear seat and has to come out thru the trunk. Granted it wasn't cheap but they matched their estimate. Initially, They called me to get authorization for further diagnostics which was as stated above, thorough and well documented and worth the $400. I've learned over 50 years that a real diagnostic is worth what you pay for it. Nothing is "Free." Thank you, Scooter and everyone else there who are always courteous and helpful. They have done brakes, engine, alignment, suspension for me on multiple cars and always back up their work.
