Just went in for a state inspection, very friendly and quick service, took about 10 minutes. Update 2024: I went again for an inspection this year, and was again met with incredible, honest service. Will definitely come back again for gas and my inspection next year. Thanks!

A very different set of experiences. Had tried this place on and off for many many years. Last repair (the very last), the car had been left out doors for many days with the windows open all day, all night. I would call on the phone and mention this and they'd patently deny it then I'd walk over on the weekend with the windows still open. One guy said--ah it's safe in the lot. Yeah right. Prices? --how about a battery that was marked up about $30. Reliability--how about a string of days being told my car would be ready or it's being worked on and I'd drive by and see it sitting in the same spot it had been delivered in? How about Abe , many times saying it'll be ready by 4. You come by at 4 and he politely tells you he couldn't finish. (happened a great deal). How about a phone call for this? Ah another time--first time I went, should have been my last. I had a muffler installed. I left and the thing was banging and rattling on every bump. I went back and Abe told me he didn't have the part. I asked to get it fixed. He said his lift was broken (there were cars up and down on it all the time.) Small things --flat tire, oil changes A, big things D. Yes very friendly setting for sure but most repairs are done better elsewhere. Go to Yelp and read around a bit.

I always go out of my way to get gas here- they’re always super nice and usually have the best price in town! Today while filling my tank the attendant noticed my tires needed air and took care of that as well. Got me back on the road quickly. :)

The name on the colorful front of this repair facility now reads: Arlington Service Station. After several bad encounters with repair shops that did not want to work on my car because it was 18 years old, Abe the boss here said, "We can fix anything." And he did. I asked how much would it cost in "ball park figures." He gave me a good price. He found a few more problems as he was working on the replacing dangerously rusted suspension parts, and fixed them as well. But he only charged me what he had previously estimated. All told, He explained what needed to be done, offered his advice and answered my questions. Fixed the car--it runs like new now. And all at a good price. He's the place I and my wife will bring our cars in the future when they need fixing.

These guys are great. I cannot tell you enough about their customer service. They went above and beyond to help my wife out when she needed a tire change on our truck. They had her pull up and swap the tire out for right there on the spot thank you.

I went in for a regular oil change and made the mistake of not asking the price beforehand. I was charged $127.5 for oil change only (no air filter change or any additional service). I usually pay $60 - $70 range. When asked about high charges, the person tells me he uses better oil than others in the area and also told me to go to another place next time if I can't afford it. Well, thanks for the advice. I'm not bringing my business back here. I am not unhappy with the actual oil change, but the high price and attitude of the gentleman who works there. Note - I drive a non premium, everyday Japanese car.

This is a great place -- heart of the neighborhood. The owner is helpful and honest, the staff is friendly, inspections are fast, and the prices are good. It tended to look a little long-in-the-tooth for a long time, as in most of the outdated photos on the Google listing, but in summer of 2018, they kicked it up a notch by commissioning an amazing redesign of the station -- in bright colors and artistic designs. It brightened up the neighborhood and even inspired a big public art project to decorate the whole block during the fall.

Unfortunately, both times we took our car to this location for repairs, the car came back broken. The first time, a sensor was inadvertently broken. They agreed to repair the sensor, but we paid for the part. We trusted them a second time with simple brake pad replacement, and the brakes were not safely operational after the replacement. They were unwilling to do anything to correct the problem. This might be a fine place for an oil change, but this is not a qualified mechanic.

I went here for new rotors and pads. The job was quick, but they damaged the e-brake actuator and made me pay for it. Afterward, the car kept showing error messages. I went back three times, but they still couldn’t fix it, which was very time-consuming. Another mechanic fixed it quickly and the car now works perfectly. Abe is nice and tries to communicate, but overall the experience was frustrating. The gas station and attendants are great.
