I have never taken my car to anyone better than Palmer's Garage. When you take your car in for repair, what needs repair is repaired without anything else breaking. Over the years, Palmer's has talked me out of repairs that did not need to happen yet, like a new clutch on my 1988 Honda Civic. They advised me to buy a new car instead of incurring the expense of replacing break and gas lines that were literally rotting away on an 11-year old Hyundai Elentra. They have always treated my wife and me fairly and with respect.

Mike and Nathalie are the dynamic duo of auto body repair! The work was excellent and affordable, and the customer service went above and beyond. When I mentioned I might call for a ride share if my husband couldn’t get off work to bring me to pick up my car, Mike had Nathalie call me back to offer to arrange my transportation, because he didn’t want me to have to use a ride share during COVID. My husband did get off work, but I’ll never forget that offer - if I ever have more auto body damage, I’ll be going to Palmers, and you can all take your business there too, with confidence not just in their expertise and professionalism, but in their public spiritedness and humanity. They make our town proud!

My car was towed here after a crash in downtown Arlington. The guy I dealt with was jerk. He said it was totaled and insisted I remove my plates saying "you're never going to see it again". Not a lot of kindness to a person who had just been in a car accident. Fortunately, my insurance company had it towed to a more reputable shop for repair. Surprise! It wasn't totaled. So much for Palmer's expertise. Unprofessional and unkind. No thanks.

Came in for a tuneup and some regular maintenance and they did a great job. My car was running rough before, ran great after. While they were at it they also fixed a leaky tire and an annoying noise in the dashboard, at reasonable prices, without being asked. Totally happy with their service.

I highly recommend the garage and in particular Mike and his work as head of the Auto Body shop. After a couple of accidents of different magnitudes Mike and his team restored my car to great almost new condition. If there were certain adjustments needed he immediately identified them and addressed them. He is attentive to details and concerned about customer satisfaction. I have referred others who have been happy with his work. Palmer’s is a long-standing company in the Arlington community.

The thing to know about this place is that body work and mechanical work seem to be handled by two completely separate sides of the house, almost like two different businesses that just happen to be co-located. I don't have any experience with the mechanical side, but Mike who runs the body shop is great and a real professional. During many years of being driven in and out of a barn with a low threshold on a gully, the front bumper of my battered Honda Accord became more and more separated and finally came off completely. Reattaching it wasn't made any easier by an unlucky dent right near one place it fastens on. I took it to one body shop who reattached it for a kind of high price, and within a few months it was off again. I took it to another body shop who said they'd have to replace the bumper and some other parts, and never even got back to me with a quote. Then I took it to Mike at Palmer's. He was friendly and professional, gave me a quote the next day, and was able to reuse the bumper rather than replace it. The price was very reasonable, much less than what I paid the last time, and the car was ready in a few days. It's been going in and out of that barn for months, and it's still solidly attached. I'll certainly be going back here next time I need body work.
