Great place with professional and trustworthy mechanics (2021). (2023) Something has changed with this shop. Owner turned into a different person. They lost some good mechanics (guessing because of the owner). I hope things change

They towed my vehicle after getting into a accident. On Friday, July 1st, I called before going there around 2:30 (as I needed an invoice for my insurance to pay for the tow), no one picked up. Google says they closed at 5pm, so I went, the tow guy was there around 3:30pm. I told him I needed to pay for the vehicle they towed. He told me in the most ungodly rude way that they closed at 3pm and that I should’ve checked in google first. When I showed him that google says they close at 5pm, he again stated in the most rude way possible “that’s not our fault, has nothing to do with us, you should’ve checked our website or called ahead”… both of which I already did too. I am a U.S. Army Service Member, I don’t write google reviews, this is my second google review of all time. So if I’m writing a google review, I either had a phenomenal or disastrous experience. The employee should’ve just apologized and asked me politely to come back on Tuesday. I hope the owners see this and affect immediate change.

My vehicle was towed here after an accident and I found the tow truck driver very condescending and rude. What really sent me over the edge though was when I went to check on the car the next morning and found it in an unsecured lot and left unlocked with my belongings in it. I'm in absolute disbelief that a shop that has a contract with the police has such little respect for people's property.

My dad has come to this garage since I was born and I have known no other shop. Art, Jimmy and the crew have always gone above and beyond whether it's a simple oil change or a totaled car I've had towed into their lot. They have always been accommodating and understanding of all my cars' issues and have also been great at referring me to services outside their purview when the issue comes down to it. Cars are one of those industries that feels like everyone is trying to screw somebody over on but not here! I will keep coming to Art Taylor's until the end of its days, my days, or when gas prices force me to downgrade to a horse and buggy.

Unfriendly. Unhelpful. Had a very minor accident with a guardrail and the corner of the front bumper was bent in just enough to press against the tire. I called them and told them the situation, and that I just wanted them to bend it back or cut it so I could drive. They said they weren’t a body shop but they could take a look. I had it towed there and the guy came out, angry, said he wasn’t a body shop, that he told me that, and refused to even look at it. Even the tow truck driver was shocked. I had the tow truck driver bring it to my jobs parking lot and he offered to bend it out. Took 5 minutes and no special “body shop” tools. I would have given them 200 cash for that 5 minute fix, but they refused to even look. I am still shocked at how rude and unprofessional they were.
