Took my BMW 4 Series to Artisan Autoworks this week for service and a state inspection. I asked if they would give my car a once over because it had not been driving as good as it usually does. I had deferred some maintenance and was worried it needed significant work. They discovered that all it needed a software update and performed that right onsite as well. I was so incredibly happy and over the top satisfied with the service and the customer care I received. My car has never driven better !! I will not be taking my car anywhere else for service ever again !! Wish I had been going there all along. So happy and relieved to have found a trustworthy, caring, professional shop to bring my car for service.

The best Defender tuner / engine specialist in the US. Hard to overstate how great Sean and his crew are. I had a '97 D90 300TDi fully restored in Italy --- other than engine / some mechanical. Custom everything otherwise. Imported truck and had it sent straight up to Sean for an engine swap (fully gone over to the last detail 300TDi) and then and Stage 2 tune plus other associated bells and whistles. Sean has an innate understanding of these vehicles, and he's a cross between an artist, a chemist, and an engineer. He can take their limitations as built and really find incredible solutions to make them better than the day the drove off the line.

We bought a Defender that was a full restoration but it had a whining sound at higher speeds. Sean and team diagnosed the issue to the transfer case and did a full baseline. They took the time to show me many of the items that either needed attention or be on a watchlist. The Defender got a rebuilt transfer case, front brake rotors, new fluids, a full engine tune, and many other tweaks for a fair price. The whining is gone and the ride is quieter with more pep. It’s like a completely different car, couldn’t be happier with their work.

Background first: I’ve used several repair shops over many years in the greater Manchester area. In some cases, I was satisfied with the work done and prices charged. However in other cases, I’ve been up-sold / oversold on work I did not need, repairs were sold to me as done but in fact not done, I’ve been overcharged – grossly – for repairs, some work was poorly done, I was charged what appeared to be gigantic, almost “criminal” markups on parts (of course, some reasonable degree of markup is always legitimate), etc. So much of what I’ve experienced, is in my opinion, not only offensive but feels fraudulent. I’ve experienced impolite, disrespectful service people, who among other things, misled me (and others) on the real issues and more. I’ve even sat in the waiting areas while having work done and seen other customers get into arguments with the staff over work done but not authorized, being overcharged ridiculous prices, being overcharged on parts, etc. I’ve seen customers storm out and promise never to come back. Now, my experience with Artisan Autoworks. The Owner and his staff are polite, pleasant and professional. Prices are reasonable. Technical expertise is solid and work is done properly. I feel as though I am being treated with respect and appreciation as a customer – and not as a ready victim – as I have felt elsewhere. I have recommended Artisan to friends and family. I look forward to a healthy, long term relationship and wish them the best in their business. I’m glad that I discovered them.

I'm so glad I found Artisan Autoworks. It was hard to find someone who felt comfortable working on my 1990 Isuzu Trooper, but these guys specialize in vintage SUVs so it's not a challenge for them at all. You walk in and there are so many beautiful old Land Rovers. It's fun to just look around. They do excellent work, which is clear when you walk in. They are true artisans. Lots of people trust them with their precious, classic vehicles. There was even a 1960s Aston Martin DB4 there, which is like a $600,000 dollar car. That alone, is a testament to the quality of their work. Sean and Jeff are both great guys, extremely knowledgeable, easy to work with, and fun to chat with. Every time I call, they take me right away and work super fast. They can get parts quickly and oftentimes I can pick up my truck the very next day. Their prices are fair, and they communicate very well. I'm never surprised by the bill. I feel so lucky to have such a great place to take my Trooper.

I also had them do a full check which uncovered several other problems, some minor some quite serious. They took care of all of them and my truck is transformed.
