I'd say this is a very professional Subaru shop. A salesman at OReilly's exchanged parts in an Outback in an attempt to convert it into a fast and loud WRX. He did enough funny things to the engine, exhaust, etc that it wasn't working properly; not starting, not running efficiently, not getting turbo boost, exhaust entering the cab; I regret buying the car. Fortunately Joe and his guy were able to fix it up and not charge an arm and a leg! Very grateful for these fine gentlemen getting me back on the road.

Machine work was great nothing wrong there. got the engine back missing plug bolts and with a broken solenoid contacted them about it and they haven’t called back or responded seems like it’s just a total lack of care. EDIT: they have contacted me back and made quick work to rectify everything mentioned above. They had me confused with another customer which is why I wasn’t contacted. Definitely glad they took responsibility and the time to fix this as I know there are shops that wouldn’t have cared Thank you Joe!

These guys do amazing work! Took my 2022 WRX to get tuned, they made it an extra point to make sure everything was done to the utmost of high standards. They're tuner is a perfectionist, which I sincerely appreciate when you're dealing with higher horsepower applications. If I could give them more than five stars I would.

Took my 6.2LS to get cleaned up and check, was told two weeks. Two month later I was told one more week, went to pick it up and nothing was done beside what I didn’t want done. Wanted the head deck but got it back in pieces and was told my heads were leaking, nice job taking apart my heads and cleaning it for me. If they did something I might recommend but not today. Thanks!

This review is long overdue, and I meant to write one sooner. Life and business change got in the way, Joe, how are you? Marc from Highline Auto Clinic. Joe is one the best engine builders around, professional, courteous, responsive, and knowledgeable about building engines. The Shortblock EJ257 was assembled over 3 years ago. I have over 30K+ miles now on my built motor from them. It's still running strong at 24PSI of boost. I'm recommending all my friends and everyone who needs work or tune done to you guys. Was having some misfire issues on my 05 Outback XT so l took my car in to these guys. They were able to id the issue and it needed a rebuild. Got a chance to go behind the scenes and see what was going on with my car. Also go to chat with them for a while and talk about my plans for the car, they made some really good suggestions on some upgrades to make the car more durable and reliable! These guys really know their stuff l highly recommend! (I know its a stock Subaru picture but they got her running brand new!)

Joe and his team did an amazing job upgrading my 2016 STi limited (bigger turbo, complete fuel system, FMIC, exhaust refresh, cylinder 4 cooling mod, aluminum radiator, and a custom tune). They were also a big help correcting some failures from the last shop that worked on the car (exhaust leaks in particular). Following COBB’s GreenSpeed initiative, those of us with COBB parts have been running into serious issues with upgrades/tunes. Joe and his team were able to work through these problems in a cost-effective manner, and kept me up-to-date through the whole process. 1000 miles later and the car is driving great. Tons of power, but still friendly enough to be my daily driver. I’d highly recommend ASF machine for anybody considering upgrades to their Subaru!

As a life-long SAAB owner/enthusiast, my wife and I decided that having a vehicle we could take on some of the more adventuresome roads around the western slope would be fun. But i needed something that had some personality and an enthusiast community to support it. I narrowed my search and found a 2011 Outback that had the engine (EZ36) and the tranny (5-sp auto) I wanted and that had been meticulously maintained AND was in our price range. However, it was still a 14 years old vehicle. I thought back to a couple years ago while meeting with a local sign company when I noticed some awesome WRXs and STIs in the neighboring parking lot...I had taken note of the business "ASF Machine." So, shortly after joining the Subaru family, I poked my head into the door of ASF and said, "I'm looking for the Subaru whisperer..." Joe was sitting behind the desk. He looked up and confidently answered, "You found him." And he was so right! After an initial evaluation, he suggested rear brakes, motor and trans mounts, spark plugs and some tensioners and idlers and associated belt. His knowledge instilled confidence in me to move forward. After getting our Outback back, I could not believe the improvement! It literally sounds and drives and brakes like a new car. When i got home and pulled into the driveway, I had to check the tach because I thought the engine had died it was SO smooth! i'm looking forward to continuing my journey learning the ins-n-outs of the Subaru world, and I embark with confidence knowing I have Joe and Cyril and the team at ASF to keep our Outback in top shape.
