Great customer service experience overall. I bought a used Toyota Avalon, they offered a free 71-point-inspection. Had break fluid replaced, spark plugs and an oil change. All was fairly priced.

Update: My review is about the shoddy workmanship and deceptive pricing. Not the fact that my warranty claim was denied. I was aware that there was a risk the warranty claim could have been denied and I was prepared to pay the price they quoted me originally NOT the crazy price they tried to charge me after. Asian Auto Tech didn't want to repair their mistakes and after back and forth with them, they finally fixed the oil leak THEY created and a axle boot THEY damaged. I still say STAY AWAY from this place if you care about your vehicle. Original Post: This is the place to go to if you want mediocre work done. To start they quoted me $2,300 for a diagnostic that required an engine tear down. They tried to bait and switch the price for no reason. They tried to make me pay $3,300. Then said the $2,300 was just for the tear down and the final $3,300 was for reassembly. How convenient that they left that information out. If they would had told me the $3,300 from the start I would have never agreed. Then, they tried to act like they were helping me out or hooking me up because I paid the price I was originally told. I definitely did pay the price, after the diagnostic when I got my car back it had a bolt to the starter that was not installed properly, missing bolts, stripped bolts, missing plastic clips, coolant splashes all over the engine bay, oil lines "secured" with zip ties, a plastic clip inside the air intake box and a MASSIVE oil leak. On top of all this they were telling me I had to fix the oil leak. What a joke of a "repair shop". They ended up "fixing" their mistakes but there is still white smoke coming out of my car's engine bay. This had never happened before. My car is still having issues and it was not this way before coming to this shop. Definitely stay away from this place.

I had a very satisfying experience with Asian Autotech. I have an older car and didn’t know what to expect as it’s been a while since I had repairs beyond periodic maintenance. I was impressed by their customer relations, I was called every day for an update. I like that the diagnostic results were sent to my phone. I was never pressed to do unnecessary repairs but I was alerted to other issues which I’ll do in the future.

There was a small amount of confusion as to how much oil to put in because they thought my vehicle was not a hybrid model. No big deal just had to get that sorted.

I absolutely love coming to this shop they are so friendly , very honest,great staff , they always ask if I need a ride home and they got coffee and snacks if you wait . I went to Santa Barbara of Lexus and got a quote of $6,000 worth of repairs ! So I got a second opinion with Asian Auto let me know I only needed $400 worth of repairs that needed attention soon and another $2000 in the future not urgent with was a huge relief that I wasn’t being ripped off . I will be coming back for all my repairs and check ups Thank you very much for a great experience!

My expectations have been lowered by numerous mediocre or bad experiences with auto shops. Imagine my surprise when this place nailed it in every area! Not just friendly and helpful, but professional behavior. Quick work, fair prices, clear print-outs. A comfy and clean waiting area (I drank about 4 cups of amazing Peet’s coffee!). I’ll be returning in another month or so to take care of a couple other problems—I’m actually looking forward to it! I’ve FINALLY found a local mechanic I can call “my car place” and happily recommend.

I brought my Subaru into the shop to be serviced and checked. They were ready and checked me in as soon as I arrived. They provided a ride in a clean minivan back to my house. They kept me apprised of progress and contacted me with a report illustrating their findings. After discussing possible repairs and cost I gave the okay and work was completed and I was picked up to retrieve my car the same day.

They (Joseph M) worked it out to bring down a way-high initial repair estimate for transmission, rear brakes, and coolant flushing-replacement service respectively needed for my car. I expressed my disappointment about the high bill I was being presented for the repairs while comparing the service to similar services performed at other repair shops. Joseph courteously asked for my idea of a reasonable price and promised to do everything possible to get there. At the end, they discounted almost 25% my bill and I came away with the feeling that I got a “reasonable price” and my car is running great. Asian auto tech is fantastic. We have been coming to this company for at least five years. We also Take our Ford expedition to their other shop and get the same great service.They get us in quickly and take care of us. I really like that they keep us updated while working on our vehicles with texts and pictures. They help us plan out repairs that need to be done but aren’t urgent so we don’t break our pocketbook. We never feel like they are trying to get extra money out of us. We always feel like they are honest with us; that the repairs are reasonable prices. Recently we brought my daughter’s Subaru in for it’s an annual maintenance and the mechanic noticed a radiator hose that had a gash in it. That hose should’ve been replaced by a separate collision shop in town after the accident my daughter had. Because we had pictures of her engine before the accident at Asian Auto, we were able to very easily prove to the collision shop that they missed replacing the hose. All is fixed now. But I’m so grateful that they not only noticed that gash in the hose, but we were able to get it taken care of because of their attention to detail and pictures.
