When cleaning the interior of my car, the lights were turned on and when I arrived the car battery was dead. The owner when trying to help did not have his mask on. The cleaning I paid for appeared to be fine, except for a few spots.

Remarkable results from detailing, overseen by cordial, professional owner, Jerry. Several scrapes/scratches went away, others barely visible. In terms of sale appeal, the car looked much, much better inside and out!! Cost was lower than elsewhere and terrific value.

Jerry at Auto Presentation Detail, also know as APD, took my horrifically scratched /scuffed car in at 12 noon and guaranteed that he would be able to make it disappear. I returned at 3:30pm to find an unrecognizable vehicle, Jerry is a Magician! The outside super shine, inside cleanliness and smell of a "fresh of the lot car"! I could not believe this was the same car that was strached up due to an accident. It is a true and testament to his skill and abilities as a detailer. The most incredible part was the rate for the service. It was $250 lower than the dealership that would have had to keep my car all day and did not do as beautiful a job as he did. Jerry took it in and got me back on the road so quickly. No more than 5 minutes after picking up my car did I receive high complements on my cars shine from other motorists. I told them that Jerry at Auto Presentation Detail is a "Miracle Worker". I've set up an appointment for my truck and my wifes car. Thank you Jerry for your excellent service and professionalism. I accidentally caused some slight damage to my car's paintwork when restoring my headlights. Jerry said I could come down and he'd take a look, when I did, he fixed it on the spot with a bit of compounding – no charge. Totally fixed it. I really appreciate it. Thanks for that. I wish there was a 10 stars. Jerry is the best! Honest, knowledgeable, and responsive. I used APD to detail my car, create the videos and photos, run the reports, and write the listing. Jerry and his team made my car look brand new - seriously! It was amazing. Jerry posted the listing on FB marketplace and Craigslist and I posted it on Next Door. I would give them 6 stars if I could. The detailing of my somewhat older second gen Prius (with 360K+ miles) was so good that I decided to keep the car for a while longer since it now looks like new! People can not really tell that my car has this many miles, and some complement me for how nice the car looks inside out. I personally feel refreshed as well anytime I get in my car. The little investment in my car's detail is paying manyfold in good mood, better health, and better looks. Furthermore, Jerry (the owner) is super nice and knowledgeable since he has many years of experience displaying cars for the sellers at the infamous Buggy Bank in Berkeley, so he can guide you on how to sell your used car for a fair price directly to a private party! While you are there, feel free to shop around for your new car at the Buggy Bank (also there) as private party sellers display their cars there, and they get new cars on a daily basis. I have already sent few friends and family there for auto detailing.

Got backed into and was left with a minor scratch that I needed to get taken care of. If I’m not mistaken, Mike helped us and was so kind - he rubbed out the scratch and waxed it free of charge. After getting my truck broken into I went to get it detailed to remove the glass and give it a much needed clean. Upon picking it up I could not believe how great it looked. Premium prices for subpar and rushed services, small crevices were left dusty and dirty and they didn’t even bother to open my sunshade mirror and wipe it down, back window was also not cleaned at all. paid just under $200.

Felt like they did an OK job on interior/exterior detailing of the car. Some very obvious spots were missed on the inside, and they applied a greasy interior dressing on every surface. Took weeks for the residue and smell to go away

missed a bunch of spots and he “gives a range” of prices. the tough to reach spots that you would expect a detailer to attend to were left which would be explained by the fact that there is only one detailer working multiple cars in n out everyday. he never disclosed why he raised the quote from the base price which makes me believe just makes it up on the go. he also makes you pay with no itemized or paper receipt, might as well just paid my neighbor to wipe down my dash at this point.

Jerry and team always give me the best advice and service. I've been coming in every 2 months to build up my wax for the past year and I had some paint fading in the beginning. Jerry had a his paint guy in the area and he repainted the back fin of my mazda at a super reasonable price, on the spot, same day, without reservation. This is the kind of small business service you don't get with a bigger business. Always super reasonable and flexible! Thanks again!

TLDR: He gave me my car back with wet seats and is now vulnerable to develop mold. I drove in with my car in the morning at 11am and he told me that they were understaffed. Initially I didn’t think it was an issue since I had assumed they had professionals taking care of my car. First red flag was that his wife was his only working employee that day and was working on multiple cars back to back. They told me they were going to shampoo my car and do the basics of interior cleaning. Sure they did wipe down all the surfaces and 70% of the car is great but they had missed the hard to reach spots (this is probably because he works his wife from 9am to 3pm with car after car while he sits in his office). But the biggest issue I have is that the seats came back to me wet. They told me to pick up the car 30mins before they had closed, leaving no time for me to send the car back if I had any issues with their service. I initially believed that it would be fine and that the seats were only slightly damp but then he told me that the carpets were damp as well and gave me a small towel to sit on. Apparently their regular method of drying the car is to just roll the windows down on a sunny day and let nature do the work LOL. I’ve had my experience with cars breaking out in mold and the bill came out to $1000+ dollars for the type of detailing required for those instances. On my drive home, my back and thighs were completely drenched. I had called them after I got home and let them know that I was not happy with the state of the car. He began to argue with me claiming that it wasn’t a big deal. Sure he wouldn’t care since it’s not HIS car. I asked how he could make it right and he just told me to bring the car in again tomorrow. He told me he would just blast my heater until the seats were dry, wasting my time and gas. That’s not an option for me since I work out of town and I’m only in the bay during the weekends and I don’t want this guy to burn more of my money. I asked for a partial refund since he had obviously not finished the job and told him that if he can’t come up with a viable solution, I’d write a review about my experience. He started yelling at me over phone so I just hung up and came straight here. DO NOT TRUST THERE PEOPLE WITH YOUR CAR!!!

After procrastinating for a while I decided that it’s time to detail my car especially having 2 teenagers. I looked at Google reviews and I saw Auto Presentation Detail in Berkeley and decided to call them. The owner answered the phone and asked me to come so he can see the car and give e an estimate. I appreciated that since others gave me a quote over the phone without looking at the car. I brought the car and Jerry gave me a very fair price. The car was ready after 3.5 hours and not kidding it looked like new. I couldn’t recognize my own car. Great customer service and a great job. Highly recommended.
