Earlier today, my husband and sister took my van to Auto Zone because last night it broke down due to what we thought was an alternator needing replaced. They jumped it and drove to Auto Zone to test the alternator. The battery was too dead to test so the 18 year old girl working there for only 1 month took the battery, charged and tested it ( Our top of the line battery came back as perfectly fine!). She then went to put the battery back in the car, made a rookie mistake (an 18 year old with 1 month experience should be supervised if dealing with car batteries, but assistant manager just left her to do it) and blew up our battery, hitting my husband and sister with battery acid. The assistant manager, Wallace, then tried to blame my husband and sister for the issue his employee caused (she let the socket wrench hit the negative as she was tightening the positive, it caught fire, and boom in the manner of seconds). THEN THE ASSISTANT MANAGER (after my sister insisted he replace the battery and wire cage his associate blew up) gave us the CHEAPEST BATTERY NOT EVEN THE EQUIVALENT OF WHAT WAS DESTROYED. My husband and sister could’ve been seriously injured. And that poor girl who SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN PUT IN THAT SITUATION is probably going to have burns on her or at least get in trouble. I’m livid that the asst manager did not even replace the battery at the same value!!!! He didn’t want to do anything to fix the situation. I will be contacting Corporate and turning him and his manager in. I hate being the person who contacts management, but in this case, it is more than necessary. I will NEVER shop at Auto Zone again. My husband breathed in battery acid! And the best they could do to replace a $250 battery was give us an $80 battery?! Are you kidding me?! We will be researching legal action most definitely. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE!!!!

On this day I realize that their was good people left in the world their was front moving in the sky was very dark and wind started picking up , had some issues with my car Scott the manager came out help me he put my car on tester to figure the main problem he did at time the storm was coming closer I was concerned but said let get you take care of before storm reaches us . Both Michael and Jacob managers at my local AutoZone have been awesome to deal with. I’ve had to deal with several vehicles in the family getting different parts and pieces and they have been amazing in helping me get what I need and when I needed to return something there was never an issue. There is a competitor directly across the street and to be honest I’ve been dealing with this AutoZone for 25 years and will continue to do so.

Mr Michael, one of the managers here is amazingly wonderful soul, professional, honest, helpful BEYOND Definition. The ENTIRE WORLD needs more like him. He also has a genuinely collaborative team. I went to the Bayside Lakes location because my truck wasn’t starting on the first try. They tested my battery and said it was fine. We went to the Malabar location and were blessed to have JACOB help us. He tested the starter and the battery explaining in detail what the numbers meant. We determined we needed the starter and maybe the battery. He then explained the buy back program and we ended up purchasing both the starter and battery. I've been coming to this store since the 1st day it opened and all the staff has been very knowledgeable and helpful but tonight November 12te around 7 PM a manager by the name of Jacom help me and my girlfriend with a battery and this guy took them all. He was extremely nice, helpful, honest, knowledgeable and not pushy at all, just got us ready for the perfect battery for her truck and picked up the battery 2 times at the counter and took it to the truck. I have never met such a super superb person in all the years I've been coming there and I've never been a stranger there buying parts as a mechanic. 5 stars don't cut it, more like 10 for Jacob that went WAY above and beyond.
