I have a crazy story. My check engine light came on while I was driving down to California from Oregon. By the time i got to Redding, California my car was behaving poorly and I knew that I couldn't ignore it. I googled AutoZone because I heard that they had the computer that they could hook up to your car to tell you what the codes were saying. I called them and they tell them that I can bring my car over and they will help me figure out the codes. We walk inside and a charming young man named Gabe is the manager, and he helps us figure out how to hook up the code reader thing. We walked back in and he plugged his thing into his computer to pull up all the information. As he is looking at the code reading, he says it looks like you need blah blah blah ( I don't speak car engine), but there is a mechanic walking in right now and we can ask him. This guy named Joe walks in and comes over and looks at the screen and immediately says oh you need blah blah blah, and I can help you with it in the parking lot. It ended up being an oxygen sensor that was sending my whole car into a tizzy. Joe has a mobile mechanic business and just happened to have been pulling in the parking lot when we were there. He literally fixed my car in the parking lot of AutoZone in less than an hour and charged me $65. We lucked out with the kindness of everyone involved! Great experience!!

I generally shop at O'Reilly's but this time I stopped in the Churn Creek AutoZone. For the life of me I don't understand why customer service Reps don't say thank you after the sale. This gentleman acted like I did the store a favor. He Never looked me in the eye and never acknowledged my business after taking my card.
I'll not return to this store any time soon.

I don’t know if anyone reads these reviews but I feel compelled to write this because I just had an amazing experience with the Churn Creek Auto Zone location.
I’m from out of town and drove in to help move my Son off campus for the Summer break. His car was shutting off after 3-5 min of idle. I suspected an alternator but wasn’t sure. It’s late in the day, all mechanic shops are not taking customers until the following as it is Friday evening. I desperately called Auto Zone, had the pleasure of meeting Gabriel who helped me diagnose a charging system issue, then connected me to reputable mechanic who arrived in 1 hour, finished the job 1.5 hours later.
I run a business division who prides itself on superior customer service and we aspire to do exactly what Gabriel did tonight. “Thank you” feels empty, insincere, and honestly not powerful enough to explain my gratitude. @Gabriel, and whoever his Manager is: you clearly live a style of service that I wish more companies would adopt.
To anyone reading this - if you’re in Redding and struggling with an auto breakdown, do yourself a favor and contact Gabriel at the Auto Zone Churn Creek location. I’m confident he will do whatever he can to help you…even on a Friday afternoon! Amazed.

I just want to say, huge shout-out to Gabriel I believe his name is! He helped us "get in the zone" and get in and outta there quickly with EXACTLY what we needed! He had a very friendly, reassuring demeanor, and he knew what he was talking about! By helping us "get in the zone" he really helped to ease some of the tension of the electrical issue that we were dealing with on our vehicle, which is something that a lot of auto parts employees don't quite understand and only perpetuate that stress/anxiety. I'm grateful for the quick accurate help that we received as well as the great social experience, thanks Gabriel!!

I was in a serious bind while on my way to Trinity lake over the Labor Day weekend. My truck was overheating and in need a thermostat. Being so far from home I didn't have a lot of options. Mr. Jessop was very helpful. He allowed me to change my thermostat outside and even lent me a few tools. I think David was another employee who helped me get it all finished up. Sorry if I forgot any names. I was back on the road in about one hour thanks the very helpful and friendly staff at this store. Saved our trip!

Well to tell you the truth I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door by a female employee very respectful! After that I hear her read the next person that walks in as well as the one after that she asked somebody if they needed help they didn't she approached me and asked me she took me to exactly what I was looking for actually told me which one would be more effective for my situation then as I was waiting in line the same very helpful very knowledgeable female employee ask somebody who walked in with I believe a rental tool he was returning if it worked for the job and just going out of her way to make sure the store was running smoothly I have never been into an AutoZone like that ever before and I spend a lot of money at AutoZone personal as well as business I'm a mechanic when I was next in line she asked if I had found everything okay and ask me you know about the job I was doing basically and I was so not intrigued lol I can't think of the word so I don't know the word to describe it but I ended up asking for a job just because of that female employee who turned out to be a manager and I don't know I've never never dealt with that in autozone before and I keep saying female not in a bad way at all I love love when a female works on cars I think it is very attractive lol when a female knows her stuff. But she runs that store very very well and I would love to get a job there just because of that just because of that manager I wish I got her name but yes I would love to work underneath her she seems like she has the best intentions for that store she honestly does she's a very good employee I can tell sorry I'm rambling but I was impressed maybe that was the word I was looking for lol that was very impressed
