Came in with a bad battery, got it checked out and was able to get it replaced and installed super easily! Ashlynn was incredibly helpful and friendly, and I didn’t feel talked down to at all. Would absolutely come here again with any car troubles.

The battery on my car died at 10:40 AM today. My family called this AutoZone on Texas Ave., and Diamond was able to help us very quickly. We called around to a couple places before this AutoZone and we were told that no one couple replace the battery for us and were quoted upwards of $200. Diamond quoted us under $150 and replaced the battery himself within an hour of it dying. He was absolutely amazing!!

So I had to get a battery changed and Bobby came and helped me. He was absolutely phenomenal and professional. He helped me determine what I needed and even did the installation while chatting with me. It only took him maybe 10-15 minutes, but he saved me at least an hour. I highly recommend this store, and in particular Bobby. They made a somewhat unfortunate morning, absolutely amazing.

I want to give a shout out to Michael, who helped me last night with a battery. He helped me get a $13 discount on it and installed it in less than 5 minutes. Absolutely top notch service, give this guy a raise. This kind of service from the bottom line is how you keep customers coming to your store.

This review is for Ronald, Assistant Manager of AutoZone 3535, located at 2706 Texas Ave, College Station, Texas, 77840. First, I want to start by stating I felt very disrespected by your blatant racism, lack of customer service, and ability to stereotype me due to being an African American man. Although I entered AutoZone 3535 with sweatpants and a hoodie, I have been blessed to achieve multiple goals that resulted in me making over 100K a year. I’m very humble, and I do not have to wear or spend my money on materialistic things for you to have the ability to indicate that I’m not poor or less fortunate. When I entered the establishment on 05/12/2024, the Assistant Manager Ronald did not formally greet me or ask if I needed assistance. He looked up at me, rolled his eyes, dropped his head back down, and proceeded to do whatever he was doing at the time. I walked from several aisles before locating what I was looking for in the store. When I finally identified the item I was looking for in the store, I had questions before purchasing the item, so I decided to approach Ronald, who had not yet correctly greeted me or asked me if I needed assistance. I approached the counter and asked Ronald if he could assist me with locating a cordless air pump because I had run over a nail. I couldn’t get the tire repaired until tomorrow (it was 8 p.m.). Ronald said, “You do not have a spare?” I said yes, and he asked, “Why won’t you change your tire then?” I told him that because it was not my job, I would have one of the services I pay for monthly to complete that task. Ronald then began walking from aisle to aisle to locate the item I had questions about. When we got to the aisle I was previously on, Ronald stated, “Now, what do you need to know?” I told him I was trying to identify which pumps were cordless; he said, “It’s on the box; it should not be hard to figure out!”. I then began to look at every box individually until I identified the correct pump while Ronald stood there and watched. When I identified the pump, I told Ronald I had found the correct item, and he stated, “Well, if you want it, you better bring it to the counter yourself.” I had no intention of having Ronald carry the item for me to the counter and never asked him to do so. When we got to the counter, Ronald processed to ring the item up, and I had to ask him if he needed my phone number because, in the past, employees such as Michael and Jimmy had asked for it. He looked up at me, did something with the computer, and asked me for my number. I told him the number, and he verified the name and then scanned the item. After purchasing the item, the receipt came out, and Ronald laid it on top of the box, although my hand was out so he could put it in mine. I picked up the receipt and the box and processed to walk away. Ronald said as I walked away from the counter, “Do not think you’re going to use it and bring it back.” I looked back at him and told him that I did not have plans to return the item and could use it if it happened again. Then, I walked out. When I got to the car, I was in disbelief that I had experienced poor customer service and been treated like a less-than-human. I could not convince myself to leave the store without getting his name and position. When I reentered the store, Ronald walked back up front, and I asked him if he was the manager. He said, “I’m not the manager, but I’m one of them!” I then asked him what his name was because I felt very disrespected by his comment. He looked down at his name tag, looked back at me, laughed, then stated, “Sorry you feel that way.”. As a Vice President of Operations, I understand the essential components of customer service and management, and Ronald does not display those components. It is heartbreaking to be in a world with individuals with characteristics such as Ronald, and it is a bad reputation not only for the store and store manager but for the AutoZone brand as a whole. How can Ronald lead a team without understanding positive customer service?

Terrible experience. The guy is either ignorant and incompetent, or lazy or was gaslighting me. I went in to try to match a brake hose for some generic use, it was not for the brakes so matching the model of the car has no point, but I have information about the thread size and the connector types. The guy and the lady both seemed to not know how to search their catalog via keywords for generic parts without a vehicle make and model or part number, and obviously have no idea how to filter products by specs (flare type, thread size, etc.), and when I asked "can you just type brake hose into the catalog and search" they said something like "no it can only search by car's make and model or part number", and the guy also went impatient with me over whether the male/female connectors matter or not. I don't like saying this but I can't help thinking if they thought that it's the first time I've worked on cars and been to an auto store, and probably assumed that I just immigrated here yesterday and don't know how to search their website for parts, so they can just gaslight me like that. I hope it's just their competency issues not some racist crap, otherwise we're gonna have a bigger problem. In contrast, I went to O'Reilly's with the same info and they searched "brake hose" and applied filters by thread size and flare types exactly like what I had said and found some matches for what I needed, in a matter of few minutes. What a difference! And also just wanted to mention since I'm typing this. AutoZone just seems to be overall more judgy and more opinionated over customers' needs and preferences, as if "they always know better". I had a similar experience a couple of years back in CA regarding a car's hybrid battery, and their employees thought their some sort of fast-tracked certificate on hybrid cars makes them know better than my EE degree. So it might be a company culture thing, who knows. Anyhow, won't visit AutoZone again and will use Advance Auto Parts and O'Reilly's instead.

I went to pick up food at a restaurant and my car did not start right away. So I went to Autozone because that's where I purchased the battery a long time ago. I soon as I got there I was greeted by 4 very happy employees. Even though it was after 9:00 PM They tested the battery and determined it was bad but still under warranty. Aaron changed the battery fast and friendly. I'm very satisfied with their service

Stopped at this AutoZone for help with my car battery and had a very frustrating experience. After being ignored for several minutes while the employee finished a personal phone call, he eventually came out, told me my battery was “not dead,” and admitted he had no idea what was wrong. His only suggestion was to keep my car overnight for “observation,” which didn’t make much sense for a battery issue. I decided to drive five minutes to a different AutoZone for a second opinion. They immediately tested the battery, confirmed it was the problem, and were extremely helpful in getting it replaced. I’d recommend skipping this location altogether and going a few minutes down the road to a store where they actually know what they’re doing and value their customers’ time.

Got my car battery replaced from this location about a month ago, tried turning on my car today and it wouldn’t start. I popped my hood to see what could be wrong and I find this…. They couldn’t even put a battery on correctly and now I am stuck without tools to put this back my battery on properly. Extremely frustrating.

Great experience. They didn’t have the post I was looking for, but the gentleman in the store looked it up, checked it at the other stores, called them to make sure they had it before I left. Really appreciated him and the experience within the retail side.

My daughter went here to get a new battery. After they installed it she went to HEB only to find that her car would not start again. Poped the hood and they didn't tighten the negative cable, completely disconnected. She was stranded and had no way to tighten it back on on her own. Called the store and of course nobody answers. Do better AutoZone, this ain't rocket science.

I went to get a cabin air filter, I'm glad I tried to install it before I left, because it did not fit my son's car. I went back in with the actual filter and they looked up the numbers on the filter, again brought the wrong filter. The employee said they updated their computer system and that was happening a lot more now. The employee was nice enough to keep trying to find the right size, which she eventually did. Was it frustrating? Yes, but I was was not on a time schedule. Had I not tried to install the filter there, and had to bring it back, then I would have a different option. I normally use a different parts store, but this one was close to my son's apartment, the employee was really friendly, but I think I'll have to stick with my parts store in the future, lesson learned.

Amazing service. Ricky was very patient with my ignorance on the necessary information needed on the vehicle. He waited very patiently while I waited for a response from my dad for said information. He changed the battery very quickly and efficiently!
