I had my Lexus towed to this garage based on “reviews” . It would not start in morning so I suspected a bad battery. After two weeks I called to find out what might be problem but was given a run around. After two more days I received a call that my car needed a new battery but while it was in their care an employee was careless and damaged the rear quarter panel. They got estimate which was for 600 dollars. I just took possession of car and took to a competent garage for repairs. This level of carelessness should never happen even in a community college training center, let alone a so called professional establishment. As far as I know the employee still works there.

Called them to fix my Hyundai Sonata (103,000 miles) starter because the dealership said it would be a week before they could even look at it. Took my car in expecting to wait several days, and it was fixed the next day! I loved the texting to approve the estimate and texting me to tell it was ready. The estimate was the cost of the repair. I would highly recommend Averill Automotive if you need a repair on a vehicle that may be out of warranty.

My check engine light came on right before I had to take a 4 hour trip out of town. I went to Autozone and they read the code. I was told it was any easy fix. I called several shops and nobody had any appointments available. I was so stressed. I explained my situation. I didn’t want to drive my car (alone) and something happen. As a woman I felt dismissed. I was running out of options. I started to Google auto shops. I found Averill and read the reviews. I was impressed. I called and explained the situation. Even though they were booked they got me in. Not only did they fix the issue they didn’t overcharge me. They even checked everything to make sure I’d be safe on my trip. But there’s more. I was sideswiped a few years ago. The person didn’t stop and got away. My car was barely touched but it caused the driver door to make a clicking sound. The actual door must of had had a small dent making it click. So I get my car back and I’m running errands and I notice the door isn’t making the clicking sound as bad anymore. I can’t say 100% but I’m positive they fixed it the best they could. All I can say is they are amazing and I will never go anywhere else. Not even the shop I usually use. They just sent me away. They didn’t even care. But Averill. I’m a customer for life!!!! If you’re looking for honest, humble, hardworking mechanics with ethics. Averill is the place.

I am on vacation from GA and my car messed up the day after here. I went to 3 car shops before this with obvious break issues and the other shops wouldn’t even look at it. I am so thankful for Averill Automotive they wouldn’t let me drive it even into garage they used a fork left and pulled it in. So amazing, caring and friendly! I cannot speak highly enough of Averill. Every automotive repair company could learn loads from Bob and team. Non-commissioned, honest, hard working guys. No BS. They actually talked me out of some repairs that BMW dealership and certified BMW repair shop said was urgent (not places in MB, rather Austin, Texas to be fair to the BMW teams here in SC). Every time this beast needs work = $2k. Averill, $665. I've never been more happy to spend that much money in my life. I've never been more pleased with automotive repair in my 57 years!

Absolutely outstanding service and repairs on 2 vehicles recently. One was a scheduled appointment and the other a slight emergency with a lack of AC on a 98 degree day. The whole team from front desk to mechanics were professional and told us they could make the repair if we waited an hour or so. The pricing was fair, and thankful to be back on the road with AC. This place has earned our business in Myrtle Beach.

Took my 2010 Audi S4 here recently and could not be more happy with how honest the shop was and did not try and up sell anything the car did not need. We all know Audis can be temperamental and finding a trustworthy shop that knows what needs to be done at an honest and fair price from good people is hard to find. The shop diagnosed the issue, fixed it and never tried to sell me more than it needed. Highly recommend for anyone with an Audi in the Myrtle Beach area (especially since there is no Audi Dealership anywhere near MB it’s great having this honest shop in the area. 5 stars

Really nice guys. Was sent here by a Costco employee. Costco refused to put on the tires I bought from them due to a little rust. The guy from Averill took a look, laughed at Costco, told me to get a refund and sent me to a discount tire shop, Harry's which were also great to me. Honest good people are so valuable. I didn't have a chance to fully use them, but I will use Averill in the future.
