We had engine trouble while on a trip through Myrtle Beach and Turn Key Automotive took our truck right in. Accessed the problem promptly and gave estimate of cost to repair. We okayed the repair and were kept informed of progress. These guys are polite, honest and fair in pricing. So thankful for their hard work and prompt service.

Just brought my car in for an EVAP problem and an oil change. Pretty standard stuff, I knew it was the charcoal canister in the EVAP system that needed to be replaced, but they wanted to diagnose it to be sure - they even called me to ask, that’s fine. What’s not fine is them charging $115 for this diagnostic. This is a 10-minute process, and they claimed it took an hour, which is $115 in labor. Holy scam. My oil change and basic EVAP fix cost me over $500. I cannot recommend staying away from this place enough and will most certainly not be returning.

Be Warned: Turn Key Automotive will try to pull a fast one over on young females .... Our 16 yr old daughter, just bought her first car, a 2014 Ford Focus, with her own, hard-earned money. Unfortunately, it started to have problems right after purchasing it. We broke down on the side of the road - thinking it was the transmission. Turn Key was the closest place to tow it, so we did - and described what was possibly a transmission problem. They did an assessment and told us that it was definitely the transmission and that it was going to cost us $6,900 to replace the transmission. We were in absolute shock - she didn't even pay that much for the car!!! I called around. I did research. Turns out, those cars in that year have a manual transmission even though its an automatic car, but the trans and engine communicates to each other via a control module. It also turns out that a lawsuit was issued against Ford for these problems, and they issued an extended warranty on these parts - so anyone dealing with the issue could take it to a Ford dealer for a one time replacement if that particular part broke. I called Turn Key to ask what was actually wrong with the transmission, ie. which part was the problem (to see if she'd qualify for the replacement from Ford), to which a man on the line replied "I don't know, it's just broke." Wow. Just remember - if you use Turn Key - this is the kind of answer you'll get about what's wrong with your car so they can try to charge you thousands of dollars.... We had her car towed to a Ford Dealership - and they fixed it for free because that part was still under warranty. If Turn Key was a knowledgeable and respectable establishment they would have known about this Ford lawsuit/recall and they would have sent her to a Ford dealership instead of being shady and trying to charge this 16 year old almost $7,000. Oh, and I had to pay them $120 for an "assessment" fee, before they'd give us the key back to take it to Ford. Disgusting work ethic, and very unprofessional. They should be ashamed. I'd give ZERO STARS if I could.

I took my car in for an oil change elsewhere when a mechanic at that place told me my car was making a noise and that it was unsafe to drive - TWO DAYS before I was supposed to move 15 hours away. Talk about poor timing. I took my car to Turn Key and told them what happened. They took me without an appointment. They ran all the diagnostics, checked all the fluid levels, walked me through the process, and assured me that my car was safe for my drive. Big, big shout out to these guys! Oh - and they’re reasonably priced too!!

I've been going to turnkey auto for years because I have trusted them and had good experiences with them. Having said that I don't know if they have changed ownership or just management but I'm going to share an experience that should raise a red flag... We recently took a 2019 Toyota RAV4 in to just have a horn replaced (old one worked fine, just wanted the new sounding basic horn) and oil change. They charged us $172 just for changing the horn ( we supplied the new basic horn), I asked how long it took and they told me an hour and a half. When I questioned him on the length of time (that seems absurd) he defended the tech by saying that he had helped, sooo it took two techs an hour and a half to change out a horn that should have taken 20 to 25 minutes, for a beginner (videos will show a novice how to do it - for reference). I will let you decide if it is a reputable place....

I traveled 13 hours in my car for a Myrtle beach vacation. The last 2 hours of driving I heard horrible rattling under my car I thought it was my drive shaft! Some local people recommend Turn Key Auto to check it out. My experience with them was great! Quick affordable repair what thankfully was only a muffler. And I was back on the road in no time at all. I highly recommend Turn Key they are an honest family owned business! Thank you guys so much!

Pretty sad after getting our engine replaced and little communication....that the wipers stopped working, AC not working properly..all worked great before. Funny how my warranty covered all but took over a month and still owned $$ Totally got screwed. I brought back once about wipers and they denied it and said would cost $300 These people will rip you off🤬🤬 I should have brought my car to the Chevy dealership..

We were ‘on the road’ from Montreal, Canada when the Check Engine light came on. (I have a 2013 Crosstrek.) I was familiar with “emissions malfunction” and asked for it to be shut off. The fellow behind the counter plugged in my car, rebooted it and read me the code. He informed me that it may come on again. I understood; it has happened before and I will make it home to my trusted mechanic. He then handed me my keys and told me to have a nice trip. No charge. Beautiful. Thank you Turn Key Auto!

I have lived in this area for over 14 years. I have seen many auto shops come and go in my time.. a few years ago my auto shop closed and I have to find another repair shop to service my 2016 Buick and my 2019 Ram pickup. I was very fortunate to have found Turn Key auto to fill the position and my auto repair shop.. the folks at turn key are very knowledgeable and honest when it come to repairs on my vehicles. You may find some that are a little cheaper with cost but you can bet you get what you pay for at turn key.. I have never had these folks tell me wrong and that has saved me time and money.. so if you want a repair shop to keep you vehicles running like they should you should be at turn key auto you won’t go wrong..

My car was making a sound and I called this place and left a message. They called me back immediately and were very friendly and told me to bring it in that day so they could check it out. I got there, they checked out my car, they knew what parts were needed, they ordered the parts, all in 15 minutes and they could do the service the next day!! They definitely know what they're doing and are very pleasant to work with. I will be taking my car here for any repairs in the future!!!
