My car broke down on a road trip down to California and I was stuck on the side of i70 for hours waiting for a tow truck. During this I was searching for a shop to drop my car off at and got lucky enough to find Axis MotorWerks. From the second I connected on the phone with Betsy it was clear that this shop treats their customers as they would family or friends. I felt comfortable leaving my car there while I had to continue my trip. Ryan was very knowledgable and experienced with my vehicle and genuinely wanted to help me while Betsy did incredible with keeping me informed of the status of the car. If I lived in the area I would bring my car here again and again. Axis MotorWerks cares and values their customers immensely and are very knowledgable and professional. From your car breaking down on a trip like mine to just looking for a trustworthy shop I highly recommend Axis MotorWerks!

My husband and I have a Sprinter Mercedes Benz motorhome. Coming east on 70 we lost 1/2 power. My son found Axis Auto Werks online and called them for us. Betsy told him to have us bring it and Ryan would run a diagnostic test on it. Ryan was able to assist us in solving the issue. He advised us of other Mercedes dealers along our travels where we could get help if they problem arose again. Very knowledgeable, honest, and helpful being we are not from the area. Highly recommend them! Thank you for helping our travels go smoothly.

I did not plan to write this, but I’ve been advised to. Based on the other reviews, if you are looking for an oil change or wiper blades, they can probably pull it off. The problem seems to be when you need more involved repairs. Axis replaced the 2 turbochargers and attached oil and coolant lines on my BMW. They kept my car for 2 full months, finishing the work only after many contacts by email, phone, and text. It was returned with 2 missing parts, a TMAP sensor that was not connected, and who knows what else that I haven’t found yet. And there were new, deep scratches on the driver’s door. Finally, without reason, it took a month for them to deposit my check, despite several contacts. I took the car in 5/23/24, as scheduled, to replace the turbo oil lines. I was told they would have no problem completing the repair by 5/30, when I was leaving for a trip, and that I would get an estimate the next day. On 5/30, after several contacts, they sent an estimate. For the wrong car. After further contacts, I received the estimate for my car on 6/4. On 6/5 I asked, by email, about replacing turbos “while in there”. On 6/6 I received an email stating “I’m working on the Quote now.” On 6/14, after several unanswered emails and calls going to voice mail during business hours, I had to drive to Axis, where I found people in the office. I was given a “work order” with “place holders” for the turbo part numbers. The next day I was able to find the turbos and informed Axis. On 6/17 they had scheduled a meeting at their office at 2:00, they cancelled by email at 1:28. On 6/18 I met with Ryan, the owner, who said they would order the parts. On 6/19 I received an email saying the parts had been ordered, they finally arrived on 7/5. This was the only legitimate delay. On 7/8, Monday, I received an email stating “ETA of end of this week.” On 7/10, I received an email stating “So Friday at latest.” Then on 7/12, I got a call from Ryan saying that they had to remove a steering shaft to replace the turbochargers (?) and that it was worn and would not fit back in. He said he would order it with “rush delivery”, expecting it “Monday or Tuesday”. On 7/17, Wednesday, I emailed and received a reply stating “Yes, the part arrived …Ryan is still on track for this afternoon.” On 7/19, I called and was told by the office person that she was wrapping up the final bill. Also, on two occasions the she said the steering shaft had to be ordered and replaced because “they broke the part”. Ryan said she “misspoke”. Later, on 7/19, Ryan called and said that the steering shaft (which had “arrived” on 7/17) was NOT in, but he would “drive to Denver” that afternoon to pick it up. (This seemed odd because the final bill listed an “ECS Tuning” part number, and ECS is located in Ohio.) On Monday 7/22 I received an email saying I could pick up the car any time after 1:00. I never received an estimate after the 6/14 partial. When I picked up my car, the cover for the brake reservoir was missing, which they replaced. The jack pad under the front suspension was also missing, but Axis did not reply, so I bought that. I was getting a trouble code, which turned out to be due to the TMAP sensor being left disconnected. (No idea why it was disconnected.) There were deep scratches in the paint of the driver’s door near the handle, over about a 6” square area. I mentioned the scratches, but Ryan did not respond, not taking responsibility. And then it took them a month to cash my check. It goes beyond these problems. Axis was obviously in over their heads, so there’s a competency issue. With all of the deception, misrepresentation, and failure to take responsibility, my main concern is what else is missing, disconnected, or damaged that I haven’t found yet. Hopefully nothing that will cause a major mechanical failure or worse. So, in conclusion, if you need more than an oil change, I would recommend you find a shop with the knowledge, experience, and, most importantly, business ethic, to get the job done in a competent and timely manner.
