OUT OF BUSINESS. NO LONGER OPERATING. Before towing your car there like I did the other day please know that they are unfortunately permanently closed. Small operation but were always straightforward and fair! We'll miss these guys

Please stop visiting this shop. They are a bunch of scammers who will take your money and never respond back. The owner Jake said that they will need to order parts and they charged me upfront fee. They even sent me receipt with their name on it. Very pathetic and disappointing.

Dropped my car off Tuesday afternoon for a diagnostic on the engine codes and also for some problems with unstable front wheels. Speaking on the phone with Christian the day before I was told the work wasn't going to take long, an hour or two to get it diagnosed and the same for the repairs. Sounds like something they could have knocked out by the end of the same day. Long story short it took 3.5 full business days after to tell me the problems. This was an easy job too they didn't have to deconstruct my car. I had to constantly continue to call them asking for updates. They never called me once even when sitting on a diagnosis. After telling me they probably cant get anything done on Saturday and I will have to wait for Monday for more of the same, I picked up my car without any work done and won't come back. Sadly to say you will save alot of money and even more time going with a larger business like Big O Tires or Rosedale automotive. It will also come with more transparency and accountability.

Jake and the guys at Bakersfield Auto Repair are my #1 go-to mechanics here in Bakersfield. I known Jake since we were both kids (15 years or more) back when my dad would do business with his dad when they were known as West Coast Tire. I have taken every vehicle i have owned as well as my parent's vehicles to them. They are honest, smart, and quick when it comes to all automotive issues and repairs. I would recommend them for everything from oil changes to tires as well as general automotive repair. Great prices and great service. Next time you need your car worked on, give Bakersfield Auto Repair a call!

We were going from San Francisco to LV and our car break down because of starter issue. We towed our car at Bakerfield Auto Repair. They replaced car starter and charged $500 for it. After 6 months starter failed and need to replace again. I think they did not replaced started properly or very bad quality starter from Manufacturer. Good part is that they provided receipt and i am in process to get refund from Manufacturer.

NOT EVEN WORTH ONE STAR BUT I CANT PUT NEGATIVE STARS ON HERE. I JUST WANT TO INFORM ANYONE THAT USES THIS PLACE THAT THEY HAVE BEEN TURNED IN TO THE STATE BAR FOR FRAUD AND THE POLICE FOR THEFT!!! THIS PLACE HAS STOLEN TWO OF MY VEHICLES AND THE MONEY TO FIX ONE. JAKE IS THE PERSON THAT ANSWERS THE PHONE NUMBER LISTED AND WILL MAKE A TON OF PROMISES TO FIX YOUR VEHICLE BUT NEVER DELIVER. HE HAD TWO OF MY VEHICLES AND ONE I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR REPAIRS AND IT HAS BEEN OVER A MONTH AND STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY VEHICLE BACK. I FINALLY DECIDED TO DO SOMETHING AFTER HEARING A TON OF EXCUSES AS TO WHY I CANT GET MY VEHICLE BACK. WHEN YOU ASK HIM ABOUT THE NEG REVIEWS HE WILL TELL YOU EXCUSES AND THAT THE PERSON THAT LEFT THEM IS LYING BUT THEY ARE NOT. HE IS LYING! DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. IM PRETTY SURE THE GARAGE ISNT EVEN OPEN ANYMORE!!! DO NOT USE THEM! THEY ARE BEING INVESTIGATED FOR FRAUD AND THEFT! DONT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR MONEY!!! THEY WILL STEAL IT!!!!!

This place deserves negative stars. I paid Jake well over 5k to replace my radiator, water pump, spark plugs, blower motor, fuel pump and some other things. Months later I found out he never replaced anything. Don’t trust this guy. I think he just claimed the business and number on google.

Husband called about replacing oil gasket. They said they could do a mobile repair for a $25 more. 1st issue was they dumped oil all over driveway. Second issue is they never changed the gasket just put a sealant. I’m annoyed husband didn’t read these reviews. Van is leaking oil and running rough again. I would give negative reviews. I’m reporting them. This is a fraud. Out a few hundred dollars, the clean up for the oil mess and now I’ll be taking it to a legit shop for repairs.
