I cannot recommend Beck’s enough. They take care of people and they shoot you straight. They’re everything you look for in an honest mechanic. There’s a reason they’re a staple of this neighborhood. I refuse to take our cars to any other shop unless I absolutely have to.

The mechanics here are very knowledgeable. I really like how well they communicate utilizing text and phone. The shop has a long history and it shows. They are affordable and very honest and upfront. They will tell you exactly what you need or do not need and do an excellent job. I had my axles replaced on my 78 Cadillac Eldorado which is very special to me. They flushed the radiator and transmission as well. It runs like new. Thank you Becks.

Brought my 2013 Honda here for a 2nd opinion after a local dealer recommended $4K in repairs which seemed fishy. Beck's confirmed my appointment in advance and had a tech take a look as soon as I arrived. Within 20 minutes I was on my way; they reassured me that none of the thousands in repairs the local dealer recommended were necessary. They didn't even charge me for their time. Good folks and I'll definitely return here for future car service needs!

My pickup began making a strange noise, so I took it to Beck's to see what it was. I spoke with a lady named Cindy, who I suspect has forgotten more about the workings of cars & trucks than I'll ever know. I told her what it was doing, and without ever hearing the noise herself, she immediately gave me 2 possibilities. She asked that I leave it overnight, and she'd have one of her mechanics look at it first thing in the morning. Early the next morning, I received a text telling me that it was indeed one of the problems Cindy had mentioned, along with an estimate for repairs. I responded by telling her to proceed with the repairs. 3 hours later, I received another text telling me the repairs were finished and I could pick the truck up at any time. Fixed right, the first time, in very short order. Such a great experience. There is a reason they've been around a long time.

Cannot recommend this shop for classics. Took my 1968 corvette to Jeff for rebuilt carb install/alignment/and tach cable hook up at engine end. Was able to speak to receptionist and Jacob at drop off. The lady at the front is nice enough (4 stars) I had confirmed ahead of time w Jacob and Jeff the car HAD to be inside as it has no top and was raining that day. Jacob seemed irritated he had to move cars around to get the car inside, but confirmed this before we brought the car. There was an open bay to pull into but he moved cars around, then had us pull into the original open bay. Got a text several days later that car was ready. When we showed up to get car and was advised by the receptionist that tach cable could it be installed. He reluctantly came up to front to talk to us after we requested clarification, he offered to work on it more, so we left without it. Came back to get it 2 days later, front office lady said he still could NOT get it tach cable hooked up. We again asked to speak to Jeff. He complained that he “hates working on corvettes”. 😟 The car was running fantastic before we took it to him, we just wanted CORRECT ROCHESTER QUADRAJET carb installed. We loaded into trailer and headed home. When I got home, looked in the box of parts w/the old carb; 2 of the 3 gaskets provided to him were NOT installed. There were specific instructions to use the 2 felt and one metal gasket to avoid vacuum / exhaust leaks at manifold and overheating of the base of the carb due to the “hot slot” on this specific carb. This was made clear by the carb builder who is an expert in quadrajet carbs. When we called back to ask why these weren’t ALL installed , Jeff got very defensive / angry stating he has installed these his entire life and knows what he is doing. My car is now: FUEL LINE LEAKING @ CARB, air filter hitting hood (which it was not before) and they did not check the top clearance after installing the carb which resulted in our brand new hood being severely damaged when closed, idling all over the place/ high jumps when put in gear but stalling as well. Did not have ANY of these issues prior to him installing carb. $500 for alignment and carb install (over priced) and I now have a car that won’t idle correctly, leaking fuel and hood damaged!! It would previously start right up and idle perfectly before he touched it and no hood damage or fuel leaks. I’m sure Jeff is knowledgeable, but he seems to not want to communicate with his customers. Seems like his primary focus was getting my $ and getting my corvette out of his shop ASAP. I love supporting local businesses and would much rather be here leaving a 5 star review, not only for the garages benefit but also because my car would be running great, instead have a car I can’t even drive now. I will gladly update or remove this negative review if the owner reaches out and does the right thing. Picture below of instructions and gaskets that were provided to him at drop off; stating necessity they be installed for THIS specific setup. Not all carb setups require this 3 gasket “sandwich” but this set up does. Why I sent the correct gaskets AND instructions. If Jeff found something indicating he did not need the other 2, he could explain that, but that still does not change the fact my car is now not running right! Literally could not have had a worse experience and now have to figure out how to get all these issues fixed. I would STRONGLY discourage anyone from using Beck's, based on our horrible experience. If you have a classic car, I recommend : Vintage Connection as the work they have done for us on our other classic was incredible. Wish we had used them instead of Becks but only found them after this hack job was done to our vette.

They did an amazing job! If I could leave 6 stars I would. They have a customer for life! Top quality customer service and communication, and they went out of their way to make sure my car was repaired! After the initial inspection and repair they test drove it and let me know that the problem was still occuring and that they would find what was wrong and the new quote was actually less expensive than the original quote. So kind, and they truly care about making sure your car is in great condition! Will be recommending them to everyone I know!

I've been going to Beck’s for a few years, but a recent experience has made me vow never to come back. I had my rear pads and rotors replaced at Beck’s. Immediately afterward, my parking brake no longer held on hills and made loud noises. When I returned, my concerns were repeatedly minimized. The staff were dismissive and condescending, suggested that parking brake issues are uncommon because most people don’t use them, and implied that I shouldn’t be relying on my parking brake for normal use. They adjusted it, but the problem was not fixed, and the attitude throughout the visit was frustrating. I took the car to another mechanic for a second opinion. They found that Beck’s failed to clean the protective storage oil off the new rear rotors, which contaminated and glazed the parking brake shoes and caused the failure. After it was cleaned and adjusted properly at the other shop, it worked fine. This issue did not exist before their service. Instead of fixing their mistake, they gaslit me and told me I had to pay more. Based on the quality of the work and how I was treated, I cannot recommend Beck’s.

Jacob my mechanic was also wonderful and thoroughly explained the problem, while also showing it to me. Thank you guys for your help and getting me back on the road safely!
