After being swindled bye a local mechanic aamco on 59 to be exact. I was told by many locals that berards is the best mechanic not just on the NorthShore but possibly in the state of Louisiana. After getting one of my car fixed I brought the other one there. You can tell by all the cars out front that everybody in this community trust him and his family. They're very nice and polite. And don't want to rip no one off. Being disabled they've charged me the bare minimum. I believe they are angels truly. They've helped me and my family more than I have fingers on my hand. We all hope that our car doesn't break down but if it does take it to Bernards and they will fix it. And you won't have to worry about the anxiety of someone tampering with your car. Believe me they have enough work they don't need to sabotage a car to survive. And it feels good knowing that a local family and not some big major corporation is getting are money. The A/C in my truck went out last September and it finally got hot enough to the point where I can't stand it any longer. Berard's has worked on a few issues on my wife's vehicle in the past and did a great job while being fair and honest with prices. The fix for my truck wasn't cheap, but the work needed warranted the price. I would/will bring my truck to this shop again without question. Turn around was exactly one week and the A/C is blowing colder than ever!!!!

Got my 1970 chevy caprice engine rebuilt there. My barber recommended them because I was new to the area and looking for honest service. This guy charged me a crazy amount of money for very poor service. I am still having problems with my motor and when I left it was loosing pressure and hardly had any power. Would hope that people see this and learn from my mistakes. And I'm giving him a star only because they site is making me in order to post!

We moved here from MD about 2 years ago, took my 2012 Nissan Juke to Tye based on reviews from nextdoor. Won't go anywhere else! Very knowledgeable and HONEST. He does great work, but doesn't do add ons that aren't necessary for function and safety. Shop staff is wonderful as well!

Ty is the most honest mechanic I’ve ever come across. He says it like it is. He goes out of his way to save you money. I was given his name by someone who has used him for years. There is no one else I would take my vehicles to. His son is coming up behind him. 3rd generation! Use no one else. They are the BEST!! Thank you for looking over a vehicle I was buying. Amazing and responsive place! After my car broke down more than a month ago, we naively took it took a dealership to be repaired. The dealership basically took our money and ran, not fixing any issues. Berard's was recommended to us and we dropped it off on a Thursday. By that Saturday, my car was back to a fully functioning vehicle for a TENTH of the price the dealership charged (for fixing nothing). The mechanic we worked with was honest and patient, dealing with our hundreds of questions with grace. If I could give this place 15 stars I would. Thank you so much!!

Berard’s is great. My boyfriend and I have had to take both of our cars there quite a few times over the last 2 years. The team there is very trustworthy, kind, and honest. Ty always explains the reason behind the pricing/ quotes, and I’ve never had any lingering issues with my car after the work is done. I would say they’re very fairly priced, the quality of work is great, and they always try to do right by their customers

Was not happy with my repairs. And my car which ran smooth now is idle so high you would think I was running a race car. Took advantage if a single women. Do not recommend this shop. Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom.
