There's just nowhere that compares. I've been to most mechanic shops in Hammond Covington and Mandeville. I honestly have no idea how that man accomplishes so much in A-day. I bet no one else can find a mechanic that cost less for labour than parts. I've had everything from alternator to a new motor. Not on the same vehicle. My doctor at the VA in Hammond the person who informed me about Automatic of Mandeville need is the only place I will go now.

Gave it 4 stars because it was my first time there. AC wasn't cooling . Left car to have computer scan done . Nothing serious was found . Fixed AC . The person in office was polite and said if AC stops cooling again to bring it back . Dye was put in to check for leaks. I would recommend this place .

Had brought my truck for repairs,paid $700.80..paid that,went to get in my truck,and rear view mirror was just hanging,no longer attached to windshield,went back in,asked what happened,mechanic just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders,girl behind desk,looked at him,mumbled something to him,then basically tossed glue repair kit at me,my rear view mirror was not like that when I dropped it off! Also kinda pricey for labor!

Adam and Jim at Auto Medic are car mechanics with knowledge, passion for cars, and integrity above all. Brought my F150 there after AutoZone had diagnosed O2 sensor failure x 3, and another local shop had quoted me over $1K for parts & labor. Adam did not merely stick with the codes but determined to find out what could possibly cause errors in 3 sensors at the same time, even turning to mechanic forums in the process. Turned out to be a stuck-open $40 canister purge valve, and I was back on the road less than 2 hours and $200 later. Imagine how many shops would have either (a) blindly swapped my three O2 sensors without addressing the root cause or (b) told me that I needed a new purge valve and that the sensors were also damaged. Adam and Jim could – but did not, and for their integrity, professionalism, and quality car work, I will always return there for any automotive issues. Thank you again, Adam and Jim!

This place is a scam and a travesty!!! Took my vehicle here to get it fixed or "diagnosed " and it was such a waste of time and money!!! They fixed things that were totally irrelevant to the problem and tried to charge me an arm and a leg. Once they quoted me the price of what they fixed I called them out on it and they then lowered the price!!! WOW!! SMDH!! Picked up the vehicle for it to break down 12 hours later; turned out to be the timing chain and now I need a whole new engine. THIS PLACE IS TRASH!!!!!!

Worst shop ever! I had a blown transmission and tool the car to them with an extra transmission, knowing the “new” transmission had issues they put it in and decided to tell me it only leaked which was false it leaked transmission fluid and DIDNT GO IN REVERSE! they only told me after i had fully paid them and signed paperwork! Very unprofessional and sneaky people the lady at the counter was very rude and disrespectful from the get go but we still decided to work with them due to the fact they were the only people in town that would put in a used transmission. AND LABOR COST ME 1500 dollars on top of the 1500 i paid for the transmission!!! I would not recommend anyone to come here they are sneaky people running a very shady business!

I would highly recommend. Very fast turnaround time. I have used them twice. Last time, brought my car to them at lunch time and got it back the next day early in the morning. The first time, I brought it on a Friday and would have gotten it back the next day, but we had a hurricane coming, so that was very understandable. They told me they could have had it done that day but had to get the part from across the lake. Above and beyond the call of duty and excellent communication skills. Solid work. Fair price. Worst experience of my life. If you want to be threaten to be beaten up by their mechanic, be without your car for almost 2 months and then have it break a week later based on what they broke while fixing your car, then this is the place for you! Started out good when they fixed a leaking radiator. Then they mentioned my oil pan gaskets and possibly rear main seal were leaking. To replace them they would need to pull the engine and it would cost $4,100. Seemed like the thing to do as it's a GX 470, was in great shape and they go forever. It became a 7+ week nightmare where I was threatened with violence multiple times by their mechanic Jason, and charged almost $1,400 above the estimate because Jason broke more than 15 electrical connectors. In response, Mike, the manager, ignored the issue, backed Jason, and blamed the broken connectors on the age of my car. After 7 weeks go by, I finally get my car back and right at a week the dash is lit up with warning lights all related to the electrical connectors they broke and supposedly repaired. I've reached out to them so we'll see what they do to fix it. Hopefully, I don't get threatened with physical violence again. Update: Brought the car to Mike and he cleared the codes and said it runs fine. 5 minutes into my drive home, all the warning lights cane back on and I lost all power and limped home. After $5,500 to fix an oil leak I have a dead car. Beware is all I can say.

He then recommended me to superior tire in Mandeville. I'm so glad he did superior aligned My car and has never driven better. He also stated that this is America you can do whatever you want to do. So I'm writing a review because I love AMERICA I highly recommend this company to recommend other companies. They did a great job at that.🙂🙂🙂 And of course I will get tires on my car. This used to be a great shop. I paid to have my car repaired and they changed the fuel pump ($600) in April of 2024. In May of 2024, the car would not run. I towed it to them and they said that a hose, which is part of the fuel pump and replaced already, was broken. They charged me an additional $115 diagnostic, $175 labor, and $8.00 for the hose. Their parts and labor is guaranteed for 90 days. Avoid this place at all costs.
