A nationwide chain shop had told me I needed a service that would damage my car if I didn't have it done. I took my car to Bernie's for my exhaust and asked them to do the service the chain had said I needed as well. Bernie's explained that the recommended service was totally unnecessary and they fixed my exhaust very fast for a great price. Couldn't be happier with the service I received.

I have used this shop for mechanical and for body work they have restored my 1987 Ford thunderbird turbo coupe it’s is beautiful and looks just like it did in 1987 I will definitely recommend them to my friends.

I just got my car back from Bernie's this morning and I was super happy with the results. One morning at work I noticed there was a weird dent on the roof of my Civic and apparently it was a bullet hole (but with no bullet left). I went to one other place before Bernie's and the estimate was steep. Bernie's was super good at getting me a quick, reasonable estimate and then getting my car back to me in three days (although it was actually done about 48 hours I dropped it off). Nice location right off High Street and nice people. Being a young woman and not knowing a lot about cars, I of course was nervous about watching myself and making sure I wasn't taken advantage of, but I definitely didn't have to worry about that with them. Would definitely come back for body work if needed (hopefully will not!)

Thank you guys for taking care of us. We were stranded on the side of the highway the night before. Making our way back to Nashville from Pennsylvania when our van broke down. We had great customer service at the autozone down the street then they referred us to Bernie’s. They took care of us, did NOT over charge us and had our van ready within 2-3 hours after installing a new radiator and coolant fan. Thanks so much!!! Highly recommend this place.

After a spark plug and ignition coil job my vehicles engine failed about a week later. It turns out that Bernie's had dropped items or somehow got metal shavings into the engine. The engine seized up and could not be repaired. I brought my vehicle to a different shop to have the engine looked where they were able to figure out the issues that Bernie's had caused and failed to correct the date of service. Bernie's offered to put a new engine in for me but they do not have a mechanic who can manage this work anymore on staff and refused to pay the other shop. It took a month of dealing with Bernie's and trying to diagnose the true issues before I was able to get my vehicle back. When Bernie's insurance got involved it was clear to the adjustor what had occured and their insurer covered the cost from the other shop with zero issues. Bernie's would not refund me for the work they performed that caused the engine to fail in the first place. I have had auto body work done their before and been pleased but this was just too much. I am not sure who at the shop is deceiving whom but something is different about Bernie's now. This is not the first neighborhood complaint I have heard after telling others about the huge issues I ran into this time around.

Had a rust hole in the center of my trunk, needed it cut out and metal welded in. They did an incomplete hack job, as you can see there's still a couple big holes they did t seal, and you can even see rusty edges they didn't bother with. To top it off, there was still a towel wedged under my car. Never again.

Went to Bernie's because of the great ratings and they are an A+ BBB shop. My first experience wasn't a good one. They installed my tires on backwards and I had to come back 😭😫. Most high performance tires these days are unidirectional and they couldn't get it right the first time. Went flat overnight and would have stranded me if it wasn't for a pump I had.

Update: it's only showing 4 1/2 stars, but I gave it 5, highest rating. Wow. What's not to love about a family owned and operated neighborhood business that's been serving the community for over 60 years? I never leave Google reviews, but I've got to make an exception for Bernie's. Though busy, they worked me in right away and gave me a beautiful new bumper more quickly than I would have expected. Both the work and the service was excellent. And they're just really nice folks. I recommend them very highly!

Bernie’s helped us out so much! Our van’s radiator busted the night before on the side of the road as we were passing through Columbus. They got the radiator changed, coolant fan, thermometer, upper and lower radiator hose changed and refilled our coolant. Only charged for Labor as well bc we bought our own parts at Autozone down the street. They were honest, fast, understanding of what happened and sympathized with us. They wanted to make sure we were safe to get back home. I highly recommend Bernie’s, as a family owned mom and pop shop. This place will treat you like family.

I have used Bernie's multiple times in the past and I've always been extremely pleased. Today, my wife called them to see if they could take a look at our car since something was scraping when we went over a big bump. (Unfortunately, we went over a curb the other day.) Not only did Bernie's tell her to bring it down today, they fixed the problem for free and wouldn't accept any payment! This place is terrific and will have my business forever!
