They had my vehicle for several weeks and told me multiple times it was on the lift being looked at right then, however, I happened to be driving by within 5 minutes of the conversation and my car was in the lot and had not moved from the prior week. If I could've rated a zero I would have.

Vehicle was taken here and seen two days ago in same condition it was brought in, and somehow a “mysterious” dent appeared on front bumper and owner didn’t want to get cops or insurance involved. Beware of this shop

Honesty! Integrity! Honesty! In 2006, AAMCO said I needed a transmission for my Firebird. I took it to Bill and Earls for a second opinion. Dave said “no, your transmission is fine”. They fixed the problem for 1/2 the cost that AAMCO wanted to charge me. This last week my Jeep Liberty had a leak around the radiator. I took it to my local gas station/repair shop close to my house. They charged me $>400 for a pipe replacement and another $300 for some box thing near the radiator. Then they told me that the leak was my transmission fluid and that I needed a new transmission for $3500. Of course they would finance it. I took it to Bill and Earls and AGAIN, Dave told me “no, your transmission is fine”. The problem was someone removed the transmission sensor and that is why my transmission was stuck in 2nd gear. Honesty! Integrity! Honesty! May Kefauver

I experienced the best service. I took my car to get looked over and had 1 quart of transmission fluid and 3 weeks later went back and had my transmission fluid changed and the filter cleaned I was explained what was done and how much fliud was taken out and put back in. I highly recommend this auto service place to anyone they won't leave disappointed.

Glad to find a good reputable shop in Frederick, MD. I needed transmission work on my SRT-10 and Dave didn’t disappoint. I honestly can say no shop will touch my transmission except Bill & Earl’s!!! Thanks.

UPDATE: So the truck has been parked since they didn’t fix problem. Need to use so I thought I would work on it. 60.00 later it’s fixed!!! Now I need to find a front driveshaft since they chopped mine in half and rewelded out of balance. When they had my vehicle for over a month only thing they were doing with it was driving the crew to lunch in it. Go somewhere else! Over 5k for rebuild, same problem but now have an out of balance front drive shaft, that was 600.00. I told him it was bad, he laughed and said he remembers that one. No offer to fix.

Without a doubt the most professional business of all the businesses I have ever used. Mr. David is patient in explaining the car's issues until I truly understand as I have recently been widowed and car care was not my responsibility. His word when giving estimates, time of completion of repairs and especially whether or not your car needs repair is rock solid. His mechanics are top notch and they handle your car respectfully and return it to you clean. You certainly can trust Bill and Earl's Transmission with all you automobile needs.

Do not waste your time and money here. David claimed I needed a new transmission and took my car apart charging me $954 for the ‘work.’ Nothing was ever diagnosed or fixed. I also checked with multiple other mechanics to see if the charges were fair and they ALL agreed I was SEVERELY OVERCHARGED. He also never goes over how much things are before doing any work even tho he told me he would. So everything I was charged was not previously discussed- every other auto body shop I have gone to has always shown me the costs before moving forward with anything, as one would do in a honest company. David didn’t do that, the amounts he came up with were absolutely ridiculous compared to the work that was done. On top of that, the issue with my car WASNT THE TRANSMISSION. When I called to inform David that it was not the transmission and explained the actual issues he began yelling on the phone and not listening to anything I was saying. Yeah David, you may have 52 years of experience but if you’re not open to understanding when you’ve done something WRONG you’re not improving. So you’ve stayed the same for 52 years. Lord only knows how many ppl you scammed out of money for a new transmission when it wasn’t needed. I do not recommend this place to ANYONE and will be sure to let everyone I know in the Maryland area to stay away. Horrible establishment.

I have been taking our vehicles here for years and never had a problem. David and David are honest and do great work at a fair price. They have never tried to push extra unnecessary repairs like you tend to get with dealerships and auto service chains. They were originally recommended to me by two other experienced and trusted mechanics when our Ford Explorer needed the transmission rebuilt.

This place is very professional, honest & my experience was also done fast. Price was very acceptable. I took my car in for a check on my breaks & rotors. The owner took my car for a drive & then let me know they would look & take care of whatever needed changed. I felt He was honest & I was being told truthful information. They lifted my car up & I was told & shown that my front breaks & rotors needed changed. They changed my oil, put air in my tires & cleaned my windows inside & out. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone needing any automotive check or repairs done. Thank you guys for all the care & everything.

David and his A-team of mechanics will find and fix your auto repair problems. They came highly recommend when I made my first appointment and now I recommend them even higher! I have older vehicles and need really good mechanics that like and appreciate older cars and love keep them running.

My 20 year old daughter had a horrible experience at this shop. She said he was rude when she made the appt - our first red flag! We should have known better than to bring it to this shop. She wanted to know why the car was making a terrible sound. She dropped it off the night before and didn’t hear a word from him until it was time to pick up. Upon arriving, David said “I can’t do anything, take it to a dealer and it’s $140 because we hooked it up to a scanner” - He never called to ask if this was okay and explain to this NOVICE customer if she was willing and able to pay $140 for the evaluation. He also made her wait in the lobby for 25 minutes prior to giving her the fabulous news! Incredibly disappointing! We will never be back and will share our experience far and wide! :(

I’ve had a handful issues with my ‘05 lesaber since I’ve gotten it from my grandparents, and as a young college student, I’m always afraid of the worst case scenario in terms of what I can afford to be repaired. As soon as my usual mechanic recognized it was a transmission issue (which they don’t work on transmissions), I was in a panic to find another shop I could trust. I was recommended to Bill & Earl’s from a friend, and it was the best place I could’ve went to. David worked on my car and was quick to answer the phone with my barrage of questions. He was done the same day I took it in, and identified my issue as a very dirty transmission filter. He was super honest, and took me for a drive with my car before and after, and it runs and drives a world’s difference better. I’m so thrilled my car will get to live another day! I will continue to go here for any transmission needs I may have!
