Just had my clutch and a ton of other maintenance done on my WRX. and I can honestly say I've never had such a great experience with a shop. EVERY employee was well informed and the guy at the front desk was extremely helpful and educated on products and how things worked on the car and how it would all come together. Also had a chance to meet the owner who was very well educated and friendly and helpful as well. By far rate these guys 5 stars and will Be bringing my vehicles back here for sure. Thanks BK!

Took my 08 STI to BK because I heard and read great things about them. They are very knowledagle and professional. The owner spent time with me and went through previous things that had been done to my vehicle before I owned it. Had them install an AOS and service the transmission and rear differential. Prices are great and work is top notch. They earned my business and I won't be taking my Subaru anywhere else for service. Thanks guys.

I’ve been bringing my Subaru wrx to them whenever I need something done. I trust them with my car over every single shop in the treasure valley. Every time I walk in they remember me and make me feel at home. They specialize in Japanese cars but I swear they can fix just about anything. They also make sure you’re taken care of and don’t screw you over like some places. They respectively answer any questions and are very thorough when explaining your car. They provide great oil (I only get my oil from them now) and are very fair on prices. I appreciate this shop and will continue to support their local business forever and recommend them whenever I have a chance. You guys are phenomenal!!

This place is special, I have been coming to Bk now for about 4 years. I’m on my 3rd Subaru now and feel extremely lucky to have Brian and his crew here to take care of me. They are extremely detail oriented and always have the best advice to keep their customers happy and on the road with a healthy vehicle. Just recently I had Brian and his crew put some go fast parts and a pro tune on my car, needless to say it turned out better than expected. Took my 2008 honda si for a rebuild and got charged 5k for parts and labor , i got my car back after everything was done and had a rod nock. Supposedly they are experts and specialists with japanese cars but honestly they are the worst shop i ever took my car too , all they did was take my money and didnt fix my car correctly and made it seem to be my fault now my car needs a new engine thanks to bk industries, this shop is so unprofessional and they are ripoff’s. I don’t reccomend it to anyone.

9 weeks ago my car started having issues. Had it diagnosed and found major problems. Did some repairs on our own thanks to my friends/neighbors/boys but it didn't solve the bigger problem Transmission which is a CVT very costly one to fix/replace. Took my car to BK Industries where they did the major repairs for the last 7 weeks more than just the transmission. TODAY I GOT MY CAR BACK. Those whom need repairs done to a car with Japanese parts go to BK Industries . Also my Sons have had their car repairs done here too.

Brought in my MR2 that had been sitting for like a year and a half due to the engine not running. They diagnosed the engine and quickly found the problem and got it fixed along with a lot of other little things. Car runs and feels better than it did before. Very happy with the work they did and their prices are fair. Shout out to Matt who has helped so much and kept me updated on everything and of course to J who worked on the car and definitely knows what he is doing. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone.

Took my car in for an oil change and came out A WHOLE NEW CAR. Not literally but hear me out. I’ve owned my GTI for 2 years now and have been experiencing what had appeared to be a small/slow leak. Two VW dealers and two tuner shops later: being told that I’m crazy/stupid because it’s just AC run off..BK FOUND THE LEAK. They were kind enough to let me know so I could have it brought into a (THIRD) VW dealer to be repaired under warranty. Not to mention the last “reputable”shop I took this car to put the wrong oil in it. BK has earned themselves a lifetime customer for a few reasons here: competency, quality, and the ability to educate their customers respectfully and honestly. Thank you so much for finally giving me some peace so I can really enjoy my GTI ownership. THIS is the level that every shop including dealers should be operating at.

Incredibly happy with the service we received at this shop. We weren't going to have the time to replace the lower control arms on my 1st Gen Sequoia and decided to have BK do the work. They did phenomenal work, were very time efficient, went above and beyond to check for other areas that needed attention, and even fixed a few small things while they had it taken apart. They are very knowledgeable with lifted vehicles, (ours is) which provided us a peace of mind for all future modification needs. Highly recommend this place for your Japanese vehicle, especially if it's lifted!

I recently bought a car 3.5 hours away. It drove fine back to Boise, but then while there, the car overheated. I tried to do what I could, but it was beyond my skills. I had some car friends recommend me this shop. I was incredibly anxious since I was supposed to drive the car the next day for hours. I figured BK Industries was very busy (they were) when I called them to explain why there’s a random car in their parking lot. They managed to squeeze me in and diagnose the problem. They fixed me up by the next morning so my trip was only delayed by one day. I appreciate them showing me the issue and what can be done to improve the car. The bill was reasonable to boot. If I lived closer, I would definitely have them be my shop of choice for my cars. Thank you so much guys! I appreciate you so much!

I’d like to preface this with saying I’m not very good at writing reviews, nor am I usually one to leave reviews anywhere but I care deeply about my car and they’ve more than exceeded my expectations right from my first visit last year. I moved to Idaho with my wife last summer and was concerned about finding a reputable shop to service my s2000. I’ve found that their knowledge in cars supersedes any of the previous “S2k specialist” shops I’ve been to in the past. They’re extremely thorough in inspecting the car’s needs and make honest recommendations while doing the service you’re in for immaculately. They’re careful with my cars as if they were their own and they treat you with utmost respect human to human. The BK team has serviced and repaired my car on multiple occasions now and they’ve earned my loyalty. These photos show the aftermath of an engine that BK “attempted” to work on. If my one-star rating doesn’t make it obvious, let me make it clear: this shop is a complete failure in honesty, professionalism, and basic mechanical competence. I brought my car to BK after it had spent nearly four years at Throttle Works — another terrible experience — hoping that Brian, who claimed to be a “Japanese specialist,” could finally diagnose and correct the issues. Instead, he made everything exponentially worse. When the car arrived, the only real issue was minor overheating — it would run hot on extremely warm days or after long drives. Brian’s first move, however, was to start the car and flood the cylinders with bad gas, completely washing them out before performing a compression test — which of course failed. From there, he tore deeper into the motor, ripped out the radiator, and started making assumptions instead of diagnoses. Using a cheap borescope, he mistook calcium buildup in the intercooler for metal shavings and concluded that the entire engine was ruined. His grand solution? Tell me I needed a completely new motor and produce a 20-page “diagnostic report” that another reputable shop later laughed at for how far off it was. The real problem — as confirmed by qualified professionals — was simply a missing trigger kit, a few minor parts, and the need for a proper tune on the Haltech IC700 ECU. BK wasted months of my time and money while leaving my car disassembled, sitting in the weather, and throwing my parts in the trunk. To make matters worse, they refused to reassemble it and forced me to pay for a tow to get it off their property. I will never return, refer, or recommend this place to anyone. They lie, guess, and prey on customers’ lack of technical knowledge to cover their incompetence. A small claims case is already being filed. If you value your car, your money, or your time — stay far away from BK.
