Highly recommended, especially for Chevrolet El Caminos. Roy the mechanic is an expert (magician) on the elco and Mike who manages the place always takes his time to explain and accommodate the customer. The online system for reservations is a plus and the various text messages and videos received keeping you updated are very welcome. Rates are reasonable for the great work done.

Our 2015 Toyota Prius was due for its 90k mile service stop. Having just moved to Watertown, MA, I was looking for a repair place to go to and found Bob's online. The reviews looked promising, the online booking system worked perfectly, and – spoiler alert – we weren't disappointed. The work was performed promptly and transparently, and the communication was excellent. A couple days later, a plastic part had come loose (unrelated to the earlier appointment, just general wear and tear). Having just re-registered the car, we also needed to have our new MA license plates installed. I called them up and they had a same-day appointment, fixed the part, and installed the plates. Furthermore, and this warrants an extra five stars: during pickup from the initial service appointment, I had mentioned that we needed inspection for the car upon registering it. After the first service, they had already provided me with recommendations for places for inspection. Now that the new license plates were installed after the second appointment, the car was ready for inspection. When they called me to let me know that the car was ready, they also informed me that they had already taken it to the inspection place and, hence, the official inspection was already done. This is seriously above and beyond! Needless to say, we are tremendously satisfied and can wholeheartedly recommend this shop!

These guys earned every bit of 5 stars plus some. BMW issues aren’t cheap, but these provided a fantastic price, we’re very transparent about everything, and were quick. It’s a blessing to have a business who still operates with top notch ethics in 2026. Highly recommend.

Bob’s Automotive is great! They troubleshooted, solved, and repaired two sizable issues on my vehicle Jeep Wrangler that a local Jeep dealer previously failed to do. I had brought this vehicle to the dealer first as I thought the issues my Jeep would require the dealer to perform the work. The dealer not only did not dig deep and try to diagnose the actual issues to repair, they also just quoted major repairs replacement to cover all issues that could’ve been wrong. My intuition knew something was wrong with their proposals so I brought it to Bob’s Automotive. Yes the dealer would’ve fixed the problems but would’ve literally cost me four times the cost (because they didn’t diagnose it properly or just didn’t care too do so). Bob’s Automotive extensively and professionally diagnosed the issues and repaired them perfectly which also saving me “the customer” a significant amount of money while still repairing the vehicle properly without cutting any corners. I appreciated their professionalism and care they took with my vehicle. I highly recommend Bob’s Automotive!

I went in to bobs automotive when I was fed up with Honda Burlington. I was having this ratting noise coming from the right rear side, whenever the car went over uneven road. I was so annoyed by it and went to get it checked at Honda 2 times and both the times they didn't say anything and just said they have tightened a few things. But when I went to bobs, they were able to identify the issue immediately and fix it for me. The communication was very clear about what to expect and how much would it cost. I am overall happy with my experience and would probably switch to them for regular maintenance now. Thanks for the amazing service.

Bob's is an absolute lifesaver. I was quoted an ungodly amount for a "required" replacement of 4 control arms at a nearby dealership. It didn't pass the sniff check, so I gave Bob's automotive a call to see if they could give it a look. Mike encouraged me to bring it in, and they got it up on the jacks right away. Mike and Mike gave a full inspection under the vehicle, talked me in detail through the functions of control arms and the infrequency of needing to replace them, and reassured me that the car was completely fine. They even noted a similar situation they'd seen previously. They were thorough, efficient, communicative and completed the inspection for free. Thanks to the team at Bob's, I was able to avoid spending an amount that would've significantly impacted my financial well-being and get back on the road confidently. This is a team that still does business with integrity and certainly deserves their high rating. I will be coming exclusively to Bob's for all future automotive needs and I'd encourage anybody else to as well.

I recently needed to take my car in for service after it failed inspection. The inspection facility said that they couldn't connect with my car's computer, but I didn't have more information than that. After reading great reviews for Bob's online, I decided to try them. Not only did they kindly accommodate 2 reschedules from me, I think they went above and beyond in the service they provided. They couldn't replicate the problem and saw no issues with my car's computer. But instead of just handing the car back to me with a diagnostic fee and leave me on my own, they drove it themselves to a garage and got an inspection done - just to make sure it worked and they would be onhand to resolve any issues that came up! This level commitment to the customer and resolving the issue is not something I have experienced at other mechanics. Highly recommend Bob's and I will be bringing my car back here for any future repairs.

The staff is polite, clear, and helpful. They worked quickly and I was able to take my dog for a walk across the street in the conservation land while the work was done. They had reminded me to have my battery checked and found that it was old and leaking. Mike was amazing! I recently moved to the Belmont area from out of state and needed to find a local shop for routine maintenance and minor repairs. After seeing all the positive Google reviews, I decided to try Bob’s and I’m so glad I did. Booking an appointment online was simple, and whenever I called with questions beforehand, everything was answered thoroughly and professionally. When I brought my car in, Mike at the front desk was incredibly polite and welcoming. As a woman, car shops can sometimes feel intimidating, but I felt completely comfortable here. I cannot recommend Mike at Bob’s Automotive enough. After wasting almost two hours at the dealership where they tried to charge me over $500 for a so-called fix to an intermittent key lock/unlock issue, I decided to leave and get a second opinion. I showed up to Bob’s right around closing time, and Mike still took the time to help me. He stayed well past closing, patiently worked through a complicated reprogramming issue, and got my key working perfectly again. He was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about fixing the problem the right way. And the best part? He didn’t charge me a thing, after the dealership was ready to charge just for diagnostics alone. I left beyond relieved and so happy I came here. I’ll absolutely be bringing my car back to Bob’s for anything I need going forward. Do not hesitate to come here — Mike is fantastic.
