Stay away from Toby Bossert he is crook, thief, and incompetent. Two examples below. Purchased 2004 Neon on 7/12/15 from Toby Bossert through Bossert Body and Tow/Carworks Auto Sales. (should be renamed CarDONTwork) On 7/14/15; I was driving on 291 and car acted funny and was slowing down I went to speed up and engine revived up but transmission wasn't in gear it then yanked forward. I immediately pulled over and seen smoke coming from under hood. Upon inspection it looked like transmission fluid had all blew out between engine and firewall. I checked transmission fluid and it's low and it looks like SMALL BLACK SPECKS are on dip stick....... 7/14/15 Toby tells my wife he will take care of it and had a tow truck pickup car and bring it back to his shop. He talked to My Wife and told her the radiator had failed and needed new radiator, hose, and fluid. That he would also flush transmission fluid. However on pickup car, he presented us with a $300 bill. Toby said he would take care of it..... But he charged us after buying it from him 2 days prior. He stole $300 from us by leading us to believe he was making it right and not informing us of cost before making charged repairs. Ever since transmission has shifted hard and irregular. 10/7/15 the transmission won't shift out of 1st gear. I take it to a transmission shop and the say it needs a new transmission due to mechanical failure caused by coolant in the transmission fluid. That will cost more than car is worth. The fact of the matter is Toby didn't repair car properly and now less than three months later I have a worthless car. Now I need another vehicle and I wasted 6 weeks pay on to buy to drive this junk for 11 weeks....... Car Don't Work Auto Sales by Toby Bossert. Secondly I had him estimate body repair to my van and he had a lowest quote saying he would mask off the window and trim then fade/feather the paint to match on a panel of my black metal paint. That's not the right thing to do considering two other body shops and my insurance company saying that with the color of vehicle the whole panel needs painted, window and trim removed from good paint job. So sure Toby Bosserts might seem fairly priced but it's due to the lack of his competence and selling junk cars that he's smoothed out to get sold. So is competent on being crook and thief!

Toby is a good guy and does great business.. But his son that works in the shop for him "Luke" no good. We were told a certain price for a vehicle, meet on Saturday to test drive told Luke we want it. He then says "well I'm going to raise the price cause I put wheel bearings on" are you serious dude? and yes indeed he was. $2500 to $4000+ . Text messages between him and my husband to prove the original price. Keep a crook around like that will ruin 30 years of good business.

I have used Bossert's Body shop for over 10 years. My last wreck occured about 2 weeks ago. Toby took care of everything!! From dealing with the tow truck to the insurance company. I wrecked my car and based on recommendations I took it to Bossert. Within 20 minutes a tow truck arrived. The car was fixed and repaired to look like new in 2 days. I couldn't believe how fast the process was. Toby saved me money and made sure my Lexus was repaired with oem parts. I couldn't be happier. I was even short on funds and he worked a deal out with me. If I could give you 100 stars I would. Thank you for all your help and getting me back on the road.

Bossert Body and Tow was the only shop in the Kansas City area willing to work on my vehicle becuase I wanted to pay for specific work without completing the vehicle. I was able to tow my project car in and all of the work I wanted was done in less than a week. As a DIY hobbyist I am thrilled to finally find a sympathetic frame shop who isn't looking to rob me. I definitely know who to call for future repairs.

Took a car most would've robbed the motor and trans and parted out the rest. Not for my GTO! Car was totaled from the front and it is back on the streets better than before today. Luke and his dad are a awesome family owned business. (And they're rescue dogs too) Highly recommended. Great communication. Sent me picture of the entire rebuild. I have taken my vehicle to Bossert before on a hail and chipped paint insurance claim. They did a phenomenal job and went above and beyond. They currently have my car again for a collision and I can honestly say he has been so accommodating throughout this whole process. Toby and his team helped us greatly today, gave us a quick honest information to go off of and was able to perform body work on a customers car for us with great success, saved a ton of money for our company and an employee who had the accident. I took my 2001 Honda Accord here to see Toby after someone gently swiped my car. i got a issuance settlement to replace the whole panel and he know that i got a good bit of money. Toby told me that i should just have it buffed out and a little touch up paint where its had scratched the OEM then keep the rest of the cash. i found their work to be quality and his word to be trust worthy.

Informative. Timely. Trustworthy. That's what I think of when I think about Bossert Body and Tow. I find a way to damage my car about twice a year, and they always take the best care of me. Toby and Luke explain exactly what's going on with my car in a way that I can understand, and are always transparent with the amount of work and parts that will be needed for a particular job. I'll continue to use Bossert Body and Tow for all my body damage and maintenance needs because I know I'll get the best service and value for my money.

I am SO glad I went to this place! My car needed some body work done so I looked for a place that was close enough to home that I could walk back after dropping it off, and found Bossert Body and Tow. I came by the shop the next day and they came out and looked at the car while I was right there, talked to me about what needed to be done, and gave me an estimate, all within about 3 minutes. The estimate I was given was about $250-$300, so I was planning on probably having to spend a little over $300. I waited about a week to take the car back so that I could pay cash. They got it finished that day but I picked it up the next morning, and I was VERY pleased with the work they did. Since it was work that needed to be done on the bumper, I'm sure another shop might have suggested that the entire bumper needed to be replaced, which would have been SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive. Bossert did the work that needed to be done without replacing the bumper, so I probably saved between $600-$800 for that alone. And paying with cash, the price was set at an even $250. I'm so pleased with my experience with them. They were professional, honest, and down to earth, and I didn't feel like I was given any kind of runaround whatsoever. I definitely plan on coming here for my basic mechanical maintenance. GREAT auto shop!

This facility has worked on four of my vehicles over the years, providing excellent service. So much so, that I referred family here. During the parts shortage, Bosserts brought parts in from all over the country so cars could get back on the road as as soon as possible. This kind of dedicated service is hard to come by today. Last year I purchased an SUV the business that has performed flawlessly. Highly recommended!

Toby did a wonderful job repairing a truck for me. He did EVERYTHING. He contacted contacted my insurance about adjustments, his shop worked incredibly quickly, and they detailed the truck very well. They got dropped off a really dirty truck and what I got back was immaculate. Repairs were in the 15k range, and worth it. I could have written a few reviews of bad body shop repairs I've had over the years. But I thought I'd just give Toby and his team some long over due credit.
