I called after I got a nail in my tire today and I had the best possible experience at Brausens. After calling and being told to bring the tire in the same day they were able to patch it up in just over an hour. Dylan was incredibly helpful - he kept me updated throughout the process, made sure my spare was secured in the meantime, and thoroughly answered all of my questions. After this incredible experience I would recommend Brausens every time!

I've been a loyal Brausen customer since 2019, when I moved to the neighborhood. I think they do a great job, but the last couple times I've been there (or called them for a quote), I've gotten a vibe that they wanted to overcharge me for services, or kinda exaggerate the issue of something to get me to pay more. This sucks, because I did NOT get that impression for a long time, not at all, but it's like they switched gears in 2021 or so to be more profit driven. I recently called them to get a quote on fuel tank straps for my truck. I called for a quote from 3 places: Brausen, and two places I'd never been to before (one recommended to me by a friend, one random from Google maps). The two places I'd never been to before quoted me $350 or so, and Brausen quoted me $600. Having two places quote me so much less (both having reviews of honest and cost effective pricing) even though I've been a customer at Brausen for a few years, really makes a guy think! I also didn't make these calls with a "I'm calling around - can you beat X price?" tone by the way. I actually called Brausen last and was shocked they quoted almost 2x as much as the other people. I think the team at Brausen does a good job. I've had a lot of good experience with Luke too. Quality is not in question. but if you're like me and you are looking to save money but still get quality work, you have options. :).

They do good work. Just bring someone with you if you're not car savvy. They had my 89yo grandpa on the hook for new tires and work on a vehicle that could barely go a block lol.

I stumbled upon Brausen's when I started working in the area, and I'm hard pressed to think you'd find a better auto shop anywhere else in the TC after now visiting multiple times in the past year. The customer service is phenomenal. They'll make time for you to make sure your car is safe to drive, even when they are already busy. They're always transparent with pricing and never push any unnecessary maintenance on you. The staff (Luke, Josh, Mike) are incredibly friendly. And the folks in the shop turn out high quality service in a timely manner. I highly recommend this shop and will continue to come here for future work.

I have been going to Brausen for all my car repairs for over 30 years. I trust them to expertly get the work done and communicate with me honestly about what is wrong and what my options are. My daughter pretty much grew up in the shop and now she takes her car there as well. As long as Brausen is in business, that is where I’m going to go.

I unexpectedly needed a major repair (tie rod, ball joint control arm, a new rim and tire) to my car in mid-December 2024. I was visiting from out of town and was recommended Brausen Family Automotive Repair by the tow company I called to move my car. The crew at Brausen's was able to fit my car into their schedule, and allowed me to have the tow truck drop it off even though they were technically closed for the day. They even allowed me to wait for my ride inside. Everyone I spoke with there was incredibly helpful and informative, and they did a great job with the repair. As I said, I was visiting from out of town and had a schedule I could not change; the folks at BFAR really went above and beyond with the work they did. They also caught that my battery was dying and were able to replace it after I came to pick my car up. A couple of weeks later, I called with a follow-up question about my car, and the person I spoke with was able to answer my questions. I truly cannot praise these folks highly enough; if I lived in the Twin Cities they'd have my business from here on out.

I've been going to Brausen for car repairs for the last 2 years and will not take my car anywhere else. Each visit I've had, they've taken the time to thoroughly explain what repairs are needed and are up front with the cost. The quotes are always reasonable and have had instances of being charged less than the original quote because the service didn't take as long as anticipated. They make submitting repairs to warranty a breeze and will call to try and appeal denied items (If you've ever tried to argue a warranty contract, you know this is a pain). Customer and auto service are always above and beyond my expectations! Finding a car repair shop that you can trust can be daunting, and I would highly recommend Brausen to all who will listen!

They are so kind! They also told me a store sold me headlights instead of brake lights and also checked all of my other lights to make sure I didn't need any additional changes. They were so quick and I was able to see them right after work! Once my car's warranty expires I will be going here more regularly. You guys are a life saver! I've gone to Brausen for years with the three vehicles now. I have always been impressed with their quality of work, friendliness, and honesty. I recently bought a new (used) vehicle and they took the time outside of the inspection (which was very thorough) to help me understand what to look for and how to make sure I was getting a good deal. They greet me by name when I call or walk in and make the whole experience feel welcoming and pleasant. It's clear they hold themselves to a very high standard and it really shows in the work they do.
