Buddy's is a great place to get professional auto repairs at a competitive price. We have years of experience with their shop proving consistent quality. They recently serviced my 1968 Pontiac Bonneville convertible for the using in the Veterans Day parade. They were flexible on me dropping off the car and completing repairs.

I took my Jeep in for a front end alignment and also asked for them to check out an oil leak. For the oil leak they "recommended" resealing the timing cover, replacing the valve cover gasket and replacing the oil pan gasket for a total of almost $3000. I took it to a shop in Tempe where the owner put the Jeep up, checked it out, had me come out and look and determined that all I needed was to replace the Oil Pressure Switch for a total of $200. Also, after the front end alignment my tire pressure light came on a few blocks away.... which makes me wonder about the quality of front end alignment since that is a critical part of ensuring accurate alignment.

Old-fashioned service, extremely knowledgeable, front office managers, and excellent technicians. My AC went out on the first hot day of the Summer on my 2007 Tacoma, which I am the original owner . I spoke with Jeremy in the morning and by 3 o’clock in the afternoon I picked up my vehicle and it was repaired and working perfectly. They even did a safety check on my vehicle And informed me of other items that need repair in the future. That’s what you call service. I was quoted $1100 for the work my car needed. I had a printed quote, yet when the work was performed, they charged me $1600. That’s quite a big difference for a single working woman. When I questioned it, I was told that the parts are expensive. Yeah the parts were listed in the original quote. There’s no excuse for such gouging.

With only a year in Arizona, it’s been hard to find good services. Like one’s I grew up with: friendly, straight forward, and trustworthy. I found all of that and more with Buddy’s. Brought my Subaru in (which has got some hard use and over 100k miles) and Jeremy got me an appointment and inspected it for problems within a couple of hours. Sent me a full diagnostic list with severity of issues and pictures, and then had a phone call breaking down the assessment further, trying to work with me and my limited budget on what to address first. We set everything up and they got right to work, completing it within a day, even with some unexpected snafus caused my the rust and age of my car. And none of that was held against me, Jeremy and the other guy (I’m so sorry I can’t remember your name!) took care of what was necessary and added guys to the job to get it done on time. You get what you pay for, and that’s no different in car servicing. I am so grateful I found these guys, finding good car people is so hard and their integrity, efficiency, and professionalism is so appreciated. I’ll be using them for my cars for as long as I’m driving, and I recommend you do too!

It’s rare to locate a great auto repair place who won’t cheat you and who does not try to manipulate you into needless repairs. I would like to take a moment to do a detailed review of Buddy’s Auto Repair. 1. Service advisor I met Steve Read for the first time and he is truly a sunny personality who truly cares about every client who walks into their front door. He tries to help you understand what might be wrong with your automobile and never tries to over sell you on needless services 2. Service technician One thing is certain their service bay has high tech equipment and their uniformed team of professionals love their jobs. At first glance if they weren’t smiling, they were serious about getting their repairs done the first time. 3. The service bay The service bay was very clean and full of cars needing tender loving care to fix their issues. I walked in the back room and was amazed at how clean it was. The restroom was very cleaned and the unisex restroom was recently rearrange to invite anyone to use. The customer waiting area It has all of the comforts needed while one waits. Free coffee and soft drinks of your choice. Sports Tv to daytime programming before you know it time flies and your automobile is ready I would recommend Buddy’s Auto Repair to anyone looking for value and a relationship. Give them a try! Check engine light was on in my 2019 Hyundai so Buddy’s determined the catalytic converter was bad. They called the dealer and found out it was under warranty for 10 years or 100,000 miles and advised me to take it to the dealer thereby saving me a lot of $$$. I’ve had multiple great experiences with Buddy’s Auto Shop. From start to finish they were professional, prompt, and very easy to deal with. They got my vehicle in quickly and completed the work in a timely manner without any hassle. What I appreciated most was their honesty. They didn’t try to upsell me or recommend repairs that weren’t actually needed, which is rare these days. Instead, they performed a very thorough 77-point inspection and clearly organized everything into urgent items, non-urgent items, and items that passed inspection, so I knew exactly what needed attention and what could safely wait. Another thing that really stood out was how transparent they are. They don’t just tell you what’s wrong, the inspection report includes detailed photos, and they take the time to thoroughly explain what’s going on so you actually understand the condition of your vehicle. That level of communication and transparency builds a lot of trust. Their pricing was also very fair and reasonable. Overall it was a straightforward, stress-free experience, and it’s clear they care about doing quality work and treating customers honestly.
