We rented a UHaul from Builder’s Transmission. Our initial impression was favorable because the lady who checked us out was pleasant and the van was clean and in good shape. However, when we returned it, the attendant simply asked for the keys and did not verify our mileage which was under the estimate. When I noticed two Uhaul charges on my credit card, I pulled up our invoice and noticed the mileage on checkin was higher than what we had returned the van with. When I called to dispute the charge, supposedly, a photo had later been taken to support the higher mileage reading. (We were furious with ourselves for not then trying to get a credit for two miles which at the time we thought seemed petty!). I have considered filing a small party claim out of principal. I’m guessing the guy probably rented it out again and didn’t do paperwork and we got the second checkin’s mileage.

I was referred here by the guys at Firestone due to transmission problems in one of our vehicles. The guys here tried a couple of inexpensive fixes to save us money which unfortunately didn't work. They did knock some money off the major repairs we eventually had to have done. Took them a couple days to diagnose, but repair work was quick once the parts were in. Kept me constantly updated throughout. Definitely recommend.

Took my 98 Chevy in because I was having problems with it harsh shifting and a DTC of PO1870. Talking to Jeff he made me an appointment for the next morning and he told me not to worry that it could be something minor and until they checked it out and dropped the pan there was no way to guess what it needed or what the cost might be. True to his word, the next day before noon he called and said my truck was ready, it only needed a module repair and the rest of the transmission looked good. So for a very fair price, and quick turn around my truck now shifts like it should. Definitely a good experience and a great outcome. Richard Biby

We've had our 2010 Ford F-250 diesel truck to 3 different repair shops. Not one could figure out why it wasn't shifting correctly. After Builders Transmission's inital diagnosis, we were happy to hear it was somehwhat of a simply repair, changing a fan motor. Upon picking it up, we were ELATED to find it was a sensor issue and a drastic lesser fee for this repair. Obviously this is not the case for every situation, but we truly apprecaited their honesty and skills in getting to the root of our truck's problem!

Took my truck to Builders for transmission work, they were very clear on what they may be able to do or what they may have to do. They ended up being able to fix my transmission after someone already did 2 years prior and charged me a fair amount and also informed me of some other issues I had going on with my truck. Very polite and not pushy in any of the other repairs I may have needed, they even took the time to send me a video of my fluids that needed to be addressed. Very professional group of people I will recommend them to anyone I know and I will be taking my truck there for any other repairs.

After bad service from a different repair shop I went in for a second opinion to Builders. I explained that getting my car running well was #1 but a close #2 was for someone to tell me what was wrong. I got a call back in a short amount of time, an explanation, and a price. Straightforward and uncomplicated. Price was fair and I haven't had an issue since. Great experience. Honest people.

U-Haul van had food wrappers, a piece of lettuce and spit sunflower seeds in the floor and drivers door. There were about 40 paper clips and dirt in the cargo bay (this I had to clean out myself). If the lady would have gotten out of her chair and followed me out to verify it was ready to rent, that would have helped, but I guess her chair was too comfortable. With this “online everything”, it posed a problem. I told the computer the truck was nasty, but the computer never came out to help!, will not rent there ever again.

Very impressed with Jeff and the folks at Builders. My car needed a new transmission and after reading the good reviews, decided on this shop. And I was not disappointed! Communication was easy and Jeff made sure to communicate everything with me, from price, to ETA of parts, etc. After I picked up my car, I noticed a squeak, and Jeff quickly fixed it up at no charge. I will definitely be taking my car back here for any additional mechanic services.

$5000 to rebuild a transmission on a 1500 gmc is The highest price I’ve heard is Arkansas, Missouri, And Oklahoma…. This dude ever quote you guys $5000 on Transmission tell him to kick rocks don’t pay the research I’m not saying go with the guy that’s the cheapest but $5000 is $2000 more than anyone else

I had a problem with my car shifting weird. I took it to this horrible spot and the guy in all pictures for the company called me two hours later and said" we fixed the transmission shifting issue. BUT it still acts weird when driving though". WHAT A SCAM. He didnt do a thing to it but hold my keys hostage til i gave him $325.00 to release it back to me. I took my car to my repair man only to find out it was the wiring that was making it misfire and shifting weird. This company is a joke. Do not trust them with your vehicle at all !! That makes sense because there are other tramsmission spots in BA and their parking lots are full.
