my beemer x5 was leaking oil. they told me it needed valve cover replacement. charged $380. but it didn't stop the leak. now they say its filter housing, estimate 300 more. not professional.

I've been going to Hatch for 25 years. Old car - new car, Burbank Auto Electric has never failed me. I'm not a trusting person when it comes to mechanics but you gotta trust somebody and well, I believe that Hatch is that guy. He's been in business a long ass time, that alone speaks for itself. Oh & (did you know) Hatch is a tennis PRO too. I don't write a lot of reviews, but they really helped me out this week and didn't gouge me. Thanks!

Had issues with my Mercedes CLS550 shock system. Mercedes quoted $3600 and and Burbank Auto Electric quoted me $880.00 and pinpointed the exact problem without ripping me off. The owner is very arrogant. He has almost the best equipment and he's happy to compliment himself about it but he doesn't know how to use it. You have to tell him STEP-BY-STEP which button to press on his computer and what needs to be done to diagnose your German car. Of course he'll negotiate the dealership rate prices before he tells you if he can help or no and rush it all through. DON'T LET YOUR EYES OFF HIM FOR A SINGLE MOMENT WHILE HE DIAGNOSES YOUR CAR - HE WILL FK UP 100%!!! If you go there, you're taking big chances and most likely you'll waste your time, money and nerves with these show offs with 0 knowledge or common sense.

Burbank Auto Electric has been my only mechanic shop for 25 years. Hatch and his team are honest and get the job done quickly. They explain the work that's needed using layman's terms for people who aren't mechanics or car savvy (I'm certainly not). I've never once felt overcharged, this is a place where I trust the people doing the work. Having a reliable mechanic is so important ~ you don't return if you don't feel 100% about the service done in the past. I've referred numerous people to Burbank Auto Electric and will continue to do so without hesitation.

I had a prepurchase inspection done and they completely botched it. They missed a leaking rear main seal and subframe mounts, over $2500 in repairs, and it's put me in a really difficult situation. I called them and told them about this and asked what they would be willing to do (without asking for anything) and instead of even a partial refund offer the jerk there just started arguing and yelling at me.

The owner, I think his name was Hatch was really nice, explained everything to me and got the problem taken care of for a great price, the other two places quoted me way more than what he did. My car is running great and I had an overall good experience. This will be the place I bring my car from now on.

Do Not Go Here! I was charged $185 for a basic, unprofessional diagnostic without a full explanation of the issues with my car. The mechanic also gave me false information about a part, saying it needed to be programmed—something Mercedes later confirmed was not true. This place lacks honesty and transparency. Save your time and money.

These guys seem decent as individuals but as mechanics i feel like they might be a bunch of part changers who couldnt diagnose a broken light bulb without the aid of a computer/gadget. I was referred to them by an ex employee of theirs so i towed my car to them. I Left it there then the following day they told me that they didnt have the right tools to diagnose it & couldnt figure out the problem. They didnt even attempt to check any of the related parts for a potential simple fix. So i got another local guy on it and he was able to diagnose and fix it within 2hrs. I would highly not recommend these guys but If you have no other choice and would be content with some part changing bro's who have very minimal primitive diagnostic skills then consider them as a 2nd option at best.

If you want your car to be stolen use this facility I had some issue with my Mercedes-Benz I brought the car to be repair or at least get estimate what's wrong with the car the car was sitting 2 weeks on the lot before anybody touch it then Mr Hutch told me there's a lot of things wrong with the car it could be 7,500 I asked him to give me printed estimate parts and labor never send me one however he Demand $5,000 for parts I asked him can you give me list of parts he avoid me i ask him can I pick up my car he said you need to bring a tow truck I said why cuz your car is all a part I asked him who give you sign authorization to work you never give me estimate as I request i never sign any authorization to perform any work on the car ! I ask him to put the car together that I can take it somewhere else to get written estimate he asked me to pay him $2,000 and if not he going to put a lien on the car so in order for me to get the car out I have to pay Mr Hutch either $5,000 for parts which I don't know what he going to buy with 5,000 cuz I never got estimate or to pay him $2000 for somting he never got authorization to do and to get my car all apart with a tow truck basically what he did hold my vehicle hostage in that point he put a lien on my car for $20,000 and transfer the title under his name when I ask him can I come and pick up my car he said its not yours any more and I sold the car to someone and he will bring me the money for the parts in another way he basically stole the car from me there's is a complain against this facility in the Bureau of mechanic as well as lawsuit please be careful doing business with this shop you might lose your car
