Brought my 4th new Subaru Forrester here in July! My salesman Bobby, retired so had a new salesman! He was very helpful and did everything to make me happy! Which i love my 2025 Subaru and C & S goes above and beyond to satisfie customers! All the employees are very friendly and address you by your name when you walk in! Keep up the good work! (hope Bobby is enjoying retirement!)

My vehicle purchase at C&S Subaru was a pleasant experience. It was evident that the sales and finance team were doing all that they could to get me at the payment that I wanted. For the car I have dreamt of owning for a while now. Not only did I get the car I wanted, I was able to get a brand new 2024. When I was considering purchasing a car I did not think a brand new vehicle was an option for me. C&S made it possible. I am grateful for everyone that worked with me. I love my Outback, I would definitely purchase a vehicle from C&S again.

For the first time in my life I can say that I actually had a pleasant experience purchasing a new car. I always buy new vehicles; usually the sales people are great but the managers are rude, condescending and/or high pressure. Then I have to sit down with Finance while they try to brow beat me into buying extra stuff. I negotiated with Scott Thurn via email. We agreed on a price for a vehicle and I drove up to finalize the deal. While I was there I decided I might want a vehicle in a different color and with different options than what we agreed on. He went above and beyond to help me get what I want, even driving different cars up JUST so I could compare colors. He was friendly the entire time I was taking to make up my mind. Didn't badger me or look upset even once. I ended up taking home a vehicle I absolutely love because of his willingness to take the extra time to help find me the car I wanted. Then I met with Alex in Finance who helped me with the credit application and to decide how many years I want to finance the car. She explained the extra warranties and safeguards I could buy for the car without making me feel I want to run for my life. Then she called me while I was driving home to inform me I actually qualified for a lower interest rate than I initially thought which would help reduce my loan payments. This is an A+ team. I definitely recommend C&S and will buy my next car there as long as this one holds up to the standards I expect from a Subaru (and if I'm not dead by then).

I used to be pleased with the service at C & S, but over the last year I have not. I don't know if they are understaffed but the place seems chaotic. The service managers have not gotten the information correct for what service is needed. Part of the problem is being bounced from one manager to the other. The last few times they have not called or came to the waiting area when my Subaru was done. I had to go up to the desk to discover my car was done and waiting in the parking lot. The tires I bought from the dealer continue to slowly leak. They remounted them and one loose enough air to require refilling every week. A simple oil change turned into solenoid problem, requiring a return to the service department. I least I was not charged for this, but they did not admit fault. I don't know what is going on lately here.

Worst service there is for a Subaru dealer. Brought a car in to get work done. When I get it back the car is completely bricked and will not function as it should.

I had an average to below average experience at C & S. The salesman was amazing and made things easy. However, after I made it home I realized two things; 1. The car was behind on service. How can this be possible at a dealership? In addition I was told the GM’s wife was driving the car. I purchased the vehicle with 12,600 miles. 2. It was missing a cover for the hitch in the rear. When I reached out to request an oil change I was told “The GM is uninterested in crediting an oil change”. And after nearly a week no response on the hitch cover panel. This was my first and will be my last purchase from C & S. With this service I’m not sure how they have kept a good name in the greater Waterloo area.

Scott Thurn went above and beyond to ensure my experience, from beginning to end, was a positive one. Thanks again Scott!

I worked with Scott and my experience has been nothing less than spectacular. I had shopped around a fair bit for a good deal (Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota) but Scott always had the best deal (even in these trying times of inventory shortage). He always looked our for me and made sure that I was properly served. Scott, thank you for being an amazing sales rep. C&S is lucky to have you on their team. I will be sending a LOT of my colleagues to him for future business for sure.

We had a great experience working with Scott Thurn at C&S to purchase our 2024 Subaru Forester Wilderness. We were coming in from out of state which I expected to complicate things but Scott made the process very easy for us. He was upfront and honest about pricing, never pressured us, and had great communication the entire time leading up to the purchase. On the day of purchase at the dealer, he had everything organized and ready to go and nothing had changed from whatvwe had negotiated. Financing through Subaru at the dealership was quick and easy as well. We are really happy with the experience and would highly recommend Scott and the C&S team.

10/10 DONT recommend!! If I could give them 0 stars, I definitely would. In April 2023 I got into a bad car accident and had my car totaled, so I needed a new one. I was sold this 2018 Subaru Outback in May 2023. They assured me they did an inspection and that the car was in good shape. In December 2023 I was having car issues, I took it back to C&S to have it looked at. They said the back axles were completely rusted through and were falling off along with all the fluids being completely out of date (which should've been done before I bought it when they were due). That costed a little over $2,000 because of the service contract covering over half of it or it would've been about $6,000. Now, in May 2024 (a year after buying the car), it's BACK in the service shop and deemed undeliverable. I attached a photo of everything wrong with it, it'll cost OVER $10,000 to repair. So now I'm back at SQUARE ONE at another dealership getting ANOTHER car because C&S sold me a POS car that wasn't properly maintained or cared for at all. They lied about doing and inspection before selling it to me. They absolutely could see that all the axles were rusting away and just chose not to disclose that when I bought it. They didn't properly maintain any of the fluids before they sold it to me either. They sold this car to me for about $21,500, I still owe $20,000 on it and have to get a new one. DONT GET YOUR CARS FROM THEM!!!

Great new car sales experience last year. Not great service experience since the purchase (and I've put on a lot of miles so I've had a ton of regular maintenence with them.) Their prices are extremely high and for my new tires and 60k service I checked at the Rochester and Hiawatha dealers and compared apples to apples. Rochester was near 1k less and Hiawatha was around $600 less. Twin Cities also was cheaper. I'd recommend shopping around and getting printed quotes before having any work done there.

Shawn was really great to work with. I spoke with him over the phone, we agreed on a price and when I came in he (personally) didn't try to push any fluff packages on me, and just tried to make the experience as fluid and efficient as possible. He was super kind with my kids and did a wonderful job talking me through all the features of the car in a way that made sense. My only complaint is with the finance guy who came out to try and sell us the warranty. I knew I didn't want the warranty and even after I asked him multiple times to "please stop pushing this", told him repeatedly "I'd like to drop this" and "My answer is still no" he kept trying to guilt me into purchasing the warranty and talked to me like I was a child and he my disappointed father. I did not appreciate this one bit. I don't know if this man understands how infuriating it is to feel trapped and talked down to, but he needs a lesson in humility. After I finally got him to stop badgering me about the warranty, his whole demeanor remained cold, pouty, and distant and it was all incredibly unprofessional. I was relieved that after we got all the paperwork signed, Shawn came back and got us happily on our way. I would buy from here again in a heartbeat if I got to work with Shawn and only Shawn. And I am SO happy with my new Crosstrek. Thank you, Shawn, for making something as tedious as buying a new car a smooth experience.

Had 30,000 miles service done on my Subaru Crosstrek. I live 70 miles away so I have to wait for the service to get done. They estimated 2.5 hours and ended up being a little less than that, which was good. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Everyone I have dealt with at C&S has been top notch, from they guy who checks me in, to the person who clearly explains what they are doing and what my options are, to the friendly cashier who takes my payment once the service is finished. And -- their waiting room is comfortable and has plenty of coffee or other drinks. Always enjoy my time there - I get a lot of good reading in.

We experienced 5 months of car problems and sporadically slow (and no) response from C&S staff. From overheating on our initial drive home due to a faulty radiator cap to a malfunctioning fob to a door handle with disconnected wires to undisclosed damage to the undercarriage, it was all-in-all a very unpleasant experience. To top it off, after discovering a chip in the front fender that continued to grow and peel away, we found out--after ordering a CARFAX report--that the car had been in a collision with an animal 2 months prior to our purchase. It was sold to us as a new car (dealer loaner with under 10,000 miles), even though it had been in an accident that disabled the car and required towing. Through our persistence and the help of some accommodating staff at C&S we were able to finally reach an agreement on returning the car as a trade-in on a new car with zero miles. We are now happy with our 2025 Forester Limited, but we will not return to C&S or recommend them to anyone.
