The company did not return calls. When I went to pick up my vehicle after it was repaired I noticed the car was dirty and because they said they were going to wash it I checked a few things because of that over site. My car was unlocked in the parking lot. I then open the hood to see if it was going to close properly. Inside the engine was dusty and filthy of which I need seen it look that way and was surprised by that. Then I opened the door that had the front bumper pushed into it. It swung open and I said this isn’t how it worked before the accident. Mechanics said it’s just worn and not part of the repair. I told them it was before the accident. They said they’d order a thing to stop the door and seemed to think it wasn’t part of the car accident. It sounded like I’d be paying for it. Then I went to drive my car home. The engine turned on and I tried to get it into reverse and it was stiff and then jerked to the side and I was like what is going on. I thought they must have installed the cable wrong and would it. I left. My car was not drivable. The next day I wanted to know when the car would be ready. No one returned my call. I called the next day and I spent from around 10:30 until 3:30 on and off the phone trying to get my car repaired do due to the accident. Horrible experience!

I can’t say enough good things about this body shop. I used car crafters before and was a great experience...easy. This time I had a rear bumper and taillight broken by a drunk driver. I was Met by friendly women at front desk..Roy came out ..he was to be my contact during the repair. I had no idea i would be able to call him directly...anytime to get updates. I’m honestly torn on how to rate Car Crafters. The team at the Holly location — especially Roy and the manager James — were very kind, professional, and helpful throughout the process. Our truck looks great, and we truly appreciate the work they did. However, I was disappointed when the regional manager, James Lowe, referred to our experience as “nothing but a headache” it felt unprofessional and dismissive, especially as a customer simply trying to navigate the situation. That unfortunately took away from what was otherwise a positive experience at the Holly location. Overall, I’m grateful for the quality of work and the kindness shown by the local team, but I hope communication at the regional level can be handled more professionally in the future.

I don’t usually write long reviews, but Car Crafters honestly earned one. I came in after making a very dumb mistake that left my car door seriously damaged. I was embarrassed more than anything — you know that feeling where you’re bracing yourself to be judged the second you walk into a shop? That is not what happened here. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff spoke to me kindly, calmly, and respectfully. No attitude, no condescending comments, no “you should have…” lectures. They treated it like a problem to solve, not a story to laugh about. They took time to actually listen to what happened and then explained, in plain language, what needed to be repaired. I’m not a car person at all, and usually auto repair conversations feel like a different language. Instead of rushing me through paperwork, they slowed down and made sure I understood every step — what they were fixing, how they were fixing it, and what to expect next. I never felt brushed off or talked over. What really stood out to me was how patient they were. As a woman, I’ve had experiences at other places where I felt dismissed or assumed I wouldn’t understand. At Car Crafters, it was the opposite. They I needed so I didn’t have to stress over details I didn’t know how to manage. The repair itself was incredibly fast. I was preparing to be without my car for a long time, but it barely took any time at all. When I got my vehicle back, the door looked better than before the accident. The paint matched perfectly, the alignment was correct, and everything opened and closed smoothly like nothing had ever happened. You honestly couldn’t tell there had ever been damage. Customer service is what makes people come back to a business, and this is the part Car Crafters absolutely nailed. Every employee I interacted with was polite, professional, and genuinely helpful. They kept me updated, they followed through on what they said, and they made a stressful situation feel manageable. I walked in feeling anxious and embarrassed and walked out relieved and honestly grateful. They turned a mistake into a non-issue and gave me my car back in excellent condition. If you need body work done and you’re worried about being judged, overcharged, or confused by the process — this is the place to go. I would absolutely come back again and I would confidently recommend Car Crafters to anyone who wants quality work and respectful people handling their vehicle.

Dropped off my vehicle for an estimate of a rear end collision. Rear bumper was understandably damaged extensively and sub frame. Car was returned to me with the front headlights and front bumper removed and not placed back on the vehicle. No service was authorized so there was no reason the front was removed or headlight. I have pictures of the vehicle before it was dropped off at car crafters and what it look like when it was towed to my house.

After my accident on Dec 7 2025, I was able to get my car into Car Crafters on 5600 Holly Ave NE, Albuquerque with a few days for a preliminary estimate. Since I was going on vacation in early January 2026, I was able to quickly schedule the repair work for a few days after my return. I was told the repairs would take 1 to 2 weeks. They were very easy to deal with and schedule the work. And their communication was excellent, I received text messages updates with every step of the process. I never worried about what was going on. In the end, the repairs were completed and I picked up my car 2 days early and it looks great. I would, and have, recommended this shop to anyone that needed quality paint and body work.
