The battery works great and the gave us a excellent deal even though they should have charged us a rush fee! It is a very friendly local shop which I feel like I can trust. It is a world of difference from the Honda dealership service department.

HIGHLY recommend these guys! I had an electrical issue with my vehicle's seat that another repair shop could have easily over-charged me for unnecessary parts/labor. My mechanic, Frank, called me twice on the first day after I dropped it off with an update on the repair, and again the next day when the repair was complete. He even followed up a couple of days later to make sure I wasn't having any issues. These guys are fast, fair, and professional; To boot, the shop was super-clean and tidy.

Quick & Efficient. Called to have a wheel bearing replaced and they were able to squeeze me in the same day. My car was ready the following morning and the problem had been fixed completely! Very reasonably priced and great service. 10/10 recommend.

We paid $270 for a diagnostic check only to find out we needed to replace a battery. They said it took 90mins to make this determination. They are either grossly incompetent or this was price gouging. If you take your car here for a “diagnostic check” I would highly advise you to require they call you if the “check” is taking longer than 30-45mins. Otherwise, brace yourself for sticker shock. Oh, and the owner (Frank) is a real joy to interact with…he has the personality of a snail and is awful at customer service. Bottom line: paying $270 for them to tell us we needed to replace two batteries is outrageous. For being in business as long as they have, I expected more. If you take a vehicle here for work, hold their feet to the fire and require they call you if a diagnostic is taking longer than 30-45mins. Oh, and they have no published “diagnostic check” cost per hour. If you work with an attorney or accountant, you at least know what their hourly rate will be - not here. So beware!

My family and I traveled up here for a work conference in Nashville and my van was shaking violently at 60 mph and at slower speeds I could feel a wobble. I have a 700 mile trip home and I was extremely stressed out. Frank walked outside and identified the problem immediately and referred us to a tire shop not far away who specialize in tire sales/service. Thank you Frank for your help. The place you referred us to was able to get us a new tire and installed within the hour. They said the tire was faulty and air was forming in-between the rubber and the wire and it was about to pop at any second. If I had tried to drive home on that tire, my van could have wrecked on the interstates with my wife and kids inside. We just wanted to thank you so much for your quick response and for helping point us in the right direction. My family is safe because you took the time to help us.

Scheduled a tune up , and after diagnostic received other services that I thought would total upwards of maybe 1000. It was 400 dollars less. Great service and they call to let you know what needs to be worked on and give you an estimate. Also days after service they check in on how the car is running. I would arguably say the best mechanics in Nashville!

Really excellent service, and they fixed my brakes, which ended up being a bit of an emergency repair. I was impressed by their responsiveness and customer service, and everyone there was super kind. This wasn't the first place I called to get help, yet they stepped up and were totally willing to assist - there are several other repair places that NEVER even called me back! The only reason I took a star off was because the repair cost was a bit on the high side. I paid it without complaint though, because again, they did it on basically zero notice and the customer service was awesome. I live nearly an hour away, but I would trust the people here with my car repairs anytime.

Michelle Rory Phil and Frank keep up the great work . I am 73 been going to Woods Garage since I was 18 . They did a fabulous job on replacing my front and rear brakes . My Chevy truck is a 2006 Chevy 150000 miles this was the 3rd brake job all of them were done at Woods , 3 is a good number for that old of a truck . I recently moved to Nashville and needed to find a mechanic as my car wouldn’t start. I researched mechanics near me and came across Carl Woods Garage. AAA jump started my car and told me if I was looking for a mechanic he would recommend Carl Woods Garage. I indeed took my car to Carl Woods Garage and had the battery replaced. Frank followed up to see how the car was doing. I told him I had sold it, but had another car that was due for its 60k service and asked if they could. They were able to!! Carl Woods Garage is not only respectful, but they are responsible and courteous. They are very fair on their prices and will listen to what you need.

I was disappointed with my experience. When I called to inquire about rates and availability, the information provided was not clear. I scheduled my appointment a week in advance, but upon arrival, I was informed that I might not be seen, which was frustrating. Additionally, when I asked about the warranty coverage for my vehicle, I was not made aware of the charge associated with processing it. While I understand the need for diagnostics, the technician’s communication could have been more straightforward and respectful. His repeated emphasis on the charges felt unnecessary and condescending, which triggered a regretfully salty response on my part. I was more than happy to take my money elsewhere. Overall, I was left feeling undervalued as a customer, which is unfortunate. I hope the service improves for future clients.
