These guys are awesome! Dave is a nice guy! I had a car I bought off KSL in there with a list of things I wanted done which was gonna cost me about 1300$ after Dave looked at it he called me and told me he could tell some of the parts I wanted were recently done and didn’t need changed saving me about 400$!!! Never experienced this kind of honesty before with a Mechanic!! Few weeks later my car started spewing anti freeze everywhere so I had it towed to in to these guys thinking it was at minimum a busted coolant hose. After looking at it Dave told me the hose just fell off because of an old clamp!! He only charged me for the fluid I lost!! Solid guys for sure and always willing to help you find a cheaper solution even if it cuts into their bottom line!!

We chose Carpenter Auto Repair at random after we broke down on the freeway. What a good choice! They were very kind, and got it fixed in a very reasonable time frame. When our car arrived and he heard the noise it was making he instantly guessed what was wrong and quoted a price. Not only was he correct the price he quoted stayed the same. Great service and good prices. I highly recommend.

First off I want to say I went to this mechanic because of his rating on Google being so high. Now that that's out of the way I'm gonna describe my experience. At first it was pleasant the owner seemed nice and friendly and I felt like he was honest. I went in because I had a bad ignition coil for valve 3. I replaced all the other ones myself but the 3rd was in a difficult spot to get to without the right equipment. I get back to pick my car up and now there are multiple error codes and my car is running worse than before. When I did my oil change after he did service on my car I noticed my engine block cover was missing exposing all my sensors and there were air hoses unattached. My dad is a mechanic and thankfully fixed everything that was wrong. That was when we found out how poor of a job this man did on my car. He didn't even change the spark plug when he put in the new coil. Left bolts off so my gasket wasn't sealed. Didn't reattach vacuum hoses didn't make sure everything was sealed left my block cover off and all around did a sloppy job. The kicker is the $400+ bill he left me with. It is straight up horrible business. When my dad called him to ask about the poor job he did as a mechanic he only deflected and took no accountability. My father is a 30 year veteran of the US army and served over seas multiple times and to hear that he was disrespectful to my dad pushed me to the point to write this review. In my opinion this is not an honest mechanic and he won't try to make things right by his customers when he clearly wrongs them.

Highly recommend these guys, when no one else could get me in for over a week and wanted to charge me over a hundred dollars for an intake bolt extraction that was all stripped out. They stopped working on vehicles to jump on mine real quick and knocked it outside in 2 minutes. Wouldn’t accept payment just thanked me for using them. I will bring all my business to them and recommend them to everyone I know! Very professional, knowledgeable, And got me out of a tough spot super quick Thank you!!!!

Dave Ball runs this business, he is the most honest mechanic I have ever worked with. He will get your vehicle taken care of as soon as possible and is great at explaining what needs to be done and why. Small shop but they are quick, efficient, honest, and fun to deal with. I was told I needed to get my CV axle replaced at a local grease monkey. I called Carpenter auto and Dave was up front about costs. When I took it in to have him look at it, it turned out the boot wasn't having any issues and a repair wasn't needed. He was very honest and accommodating. I was extremely impressed with his professionality and honesty. I was referred here from a friend and will definitely be coming back when I need any other repairs.

Saved me 800+ on tie rods that I would have had to pay JiffyLube for when I didn't even need them. Showed up, was helped immediately, they jacked up the car real quick and checked both sides and confirmed the tie rods feel great and not loose at all. Will be going to this auto shop for as long as I need repairs. Honest people are hard to come by these days, and Carpenter Auto Shop impressed the hell out of me.

My truck started pouring smoke from the engine on my way to the airport. I had to make a split decision on where to have AAA tow my truck so I could make my flight. I had it towed to Carpenter, spoke with one of their mechanics for about 45 seconds, and flew out of town. Carpenter received the truck and had it diagnosed and fixed before I flew back to town the following day. These guys are awesome. I really appreciate your help when I was in a jam.

He is truthful. If it is something that you can easily fix he will tell you. Just make an appointment with him and he will try and get it fixed as fast as possible you know that his work is always 100% And that there should be nothing wrong with your vehicle after he fixes it unless you had him only fix one problem and not the others
