Purchased a vehicle from their dealership, found them amicable and helpful. Left feeling great, as I was able to get a great price and they were very friendly. 4 months later my car stops accelerating on the highway. Hundreds of dollars and multiple mechanic visits later reveals that my transmission is completely shot. Replacement of a new transmission being thousands of dollars more than what I spent on the car. I’m told by three different mechanics that the transmission fluid is bad and the transmission has a terminal condition and unless replaced the problem will persist. The car I bought supposedly had a clean bill of health and had just had its fluid flushed. It makes me wonder how 1500 miles later it’s a goner. The suspicion of the mechanics who ran diagnostic on my car, is that the service team at Charlie Car Care had performed a temporary fix on a transmission they knew was shot, and had replaced the solenoids and transmission fluid to give some artificial life to the car knowing full well it was only a matter of time before the vehicle died. Either through incompetence or ill intent they sold me a ticking time bomb. An attempt to rectify the situation privately with the dealership was rejected, and I was told that I had already passed the 15 days and they were under no obligation to help me. I’d like to think this experience was a one off, some sort of long series of mistakes and accidents and whatever but I seriously doubt it. Try somewhere else.
