Headed out for a camping trip and blew a fuel line on my truck. As soon as it was unloaded from the tow truck Bill was taking care of the repair. This was on a Friday and after normal business hours. Fixed in 10 minutes and we were back on the road. Saved my weekend. Thank you!!

i have to start by saying the staff is very friendly and very helpful on helping me understand my vehicle and any issues it my have in the future witch is really good!! if you break down they will help you with your vehicle and help you get it to their shop and will take very good care of it! when i was there they really helped me understand my vehicle and for that i will go back there when ever i have a problem in the future

We were referred to your shop by Vick towing ... I wanted to express my gratitude to Bill and Mike for their quick efficient HONEST work on our truck. We are from out of town and they had our truck up in running w/ in hours and also when we went to pick up truck they fixed a oil leak we've had for some time with out charge... Thank you!!! You rearly find this kind of care for customers nowa days and this kind of upstanding customer service. We highly recommend this shop if your locals or out of towners... They did not take advantage of our situation and from not being from around here. Thanks again you guy's have been our Angels and now we can have safe travels back home !!!

I've known Michael for a few years. At another shop I took my 2005 Grand Cherokee in to him and had him change the heater core. A dreaded job I didn't have time to do, nor the knowledge to complete.he was able to do it quickly and found a way to save himself and myself some time during the swap. Recently I was having trouble trying to diagnose what the problem was on my wife's 03 Acura TL. Micheal was able to quickly diagnose the lean codes to a Map sensor and have the part ordered and installed in a couple hours. So glad to have had the positive experiences with Michael and would recommend the shop to my friends for future services to their vehicles!

I cannot say enough about this establishment and the gentleman who helped me. I will never allow anyone else to touch my vehicles again. I had the pleasure of meeting Michael today, who was honest, caring and very knowledgeable about his work. After hearing a knocking sound coming from my passenger wheel, I took my Honda Odyssey to Les Schwab who "inspected" the issue and told me I needed to replace the right front lower control arm (and if I did not do so now, it was going to break and cause me to lose control of the steering and crash) and other various parts and that the total, with labor, came to over $600. I knew from past experience that they were over priced, so I decided to shop around, and I am so greatful that I did. After reading their 5 star reviews, I chose to call Childs automotive for a quote. Michael answered the phone and I described the symptoms that I was experiencing. He offered to have me bring it in for a second opinion, for as we all know, the other place is frequently wrong resulting in unnecessary and expensive repairs. I am so happy that I made the decision to take him up on it. When I arrived, Michael came out to greet me and my children even offering to help me with my son's stroller. Not even 5 minutes after he pulled my van in the garage and lifted it up, he brought me in and showed me what the real problem was. It was nothing more than a loose bolt! He tightened the bolt for free and inspected the control arm finding that it was a tad loose but nothing to be distraught over, and that it did not in fact need to be replaced any time soon. I was speechless. It is so refreshing to know there are still good people in this world who genuinely care about others and their safety, rather than making a buck. I feel so blessed to have met Michael when I did, as I was about to spend money that I do not have. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. I have found my new mechanic!

Childs auto Repair is a rare diamond in the rough! As I was passing through Eugene/Springfield area this place was referred to me after having car troubles. This crew of master mechanics gave me the best auto shop experience area. They were all exceptionally thorough, informative, peaceful, respectful and fair. They even drink the best strong, freshly ground, organic coffee ever and shared a cup with me. Follow your GPS to find them because this shop is truly a hidden treasure. Please take my word! I guarantee you will not be disappointed unless you are a Type triple A personality with a demanding bad attitude and I would then feel bad for this crew to have that kind of experience with you!

The man closed his shop. Shut his phones off. Pulled my engine without approval. And has been MIA. Will not respond. Impossible to get ahold of. How do I get in touch with this guy? I WANT MY TRUCK BACK BILL CHILDS... Grr!!!

These gentlemen have repaired my vehicle twice. The first repair was minor and the second one was pretty major. The whole crew is extremely friendly and genuine. They don't rip you off on parts and they are honest about labor. You would be a fool for not taking your vehicle to this gem of an establishment.

Bill was totally dishonest about his work. Took my truck in for a head gasket job. Kept feeding me a line that the machine shop was way behind. Had my truck for 3 months and never touched it. Yet he told me that my heads were at the machine shop and that the block would need to be bored out. If in fact this was true he would of had my truck for 4 months. Head gasket job is about a 22 hour job. You do the math. Go to JB Power if you need your Ford worked on.

I totally trust the guys at Child's Automotive. They are safe, honest, and really there to help, and to look out for your best interest. They respect all people, and I highly recommend them to all my friends. If you've ever felt like you've been taken advantage of before by other mechanics, you will feel secure with these guys. I've known their mechanic, Josh Moses for years, and have had him work on my vehicles in the past. They know what they are doing, and do it well!

Child’s really stepped up after my truck and trailer was rear ended. They replaced the rear axle of my dodge 1500, and numerous other repairs to the rear. Before I knew it. My business was back on the road. Friendly, courteous, knowledgeable staff made the experience easy.. They also did 2 pre- purchase inspections of potential business trucks.. they were able to SAVE me from making a poor purchase. Today I have the right truck, and have had no issues with it. I showed up with a car I wanted to buy. They got me in very fast and checked the car out thoroughly! They told me everything that I needed, how long it would take and how much it would cost. I felt totally secure purchasing the car. I'm taking it back there for the few items that need to be fixed. They were very thorough, very nice, very helpful and I totally trust them. It's a pleasure to be there chatting with them, they are super nice people! I got to hug them too! What a great place!

I absolutely love bill child's he might be the only honest mechanic I know of he does good work and is a hard worker. If u have the time to take your vehicle there well it's worth the wait he can fix anything and at an affordable cost. Also you can take any unwanted used oil here and he will dispose of it for u at no cost. I highly recommend child's Auto repair to anyone.
