I have photos of a Clancy’s tow truck that was towing a green truck yesterday, hit the trolley arm at the Amaya Dr. & Severin trolley crossing, and just keep going after it ripped off. I called 911 due to the hazard of the trolley arm being in the trolley tracks. Reported and sent photos to La Mesa PD & MTS. Unprofessional company that should not be towing your cars, and puts them at risk of being irreparably damaged, as well as vandalizes city property and doesn’t have the decency to stop, or do the right thing and pull over. My kids and I came back and moved the trolley arm out of the tracks to avoid a horrible accident, and talked to MTS. It’s a shame the driver couldn’t do the right thing but grateful even my 10 & 12 year old stopped to help when the driver couldn’t.

Can't give it half a star and even that would be too much. Car was taken to this 'business' at the direction of the La Mesa PD. My laptop bag and my weekender bag were rummaged, clothing and extension cords were strewn all over the driver's seat. Someone affiliated with this tow company took some items from the car. Wonderful partnership, La Mesa PD has with Clancys.

Unprofessional. Fee was $700 for 2hrs due to mother in law being hit by drunk driver and towed by CHP. Kid (he said his name was Dan but didn’t want to give it) at desk tonight (Sep15) did not care on to locate our vehicle and said “I guess” after he said we needed an appointment to pick up the car. UPDATE: Next day my wife goes to pick up the vehicle, nobody is at the yard to help even though hours say 24/7. Owner recognizes her last name and threatens her to tell me to remove this review. Since review was not removed, he also put another overnight fee charge to the total from $700 to $812. The vehicle was only in the yard for 10 hours and they would not let us pick the vehicle until the next day on purpose.

If I could give a zero star review I would I called this towing company and waited over an hour for them to come to come get a vehicle out of a illegally parked hadicapped spot in my complex. They never bothered to even come out I called to get an update and they stated that they were not even coming they never thought to even call me back or advise me of that when I first called. With being the towing company that is contracted by my apartment complex this put me in a situation where I was unable to have anybody else told the vehicles horrible service would never recommend again and I'm filing a complaint with my apartment complex to hopefully get them fired save yourself the time and trouble of calling this company go with a better company.

Jonathan was amazing! He arrived within 20 min from the time that I called the office. He was super friendly and has great customer service skills. We were hooked up and back at our house all with in 25 minutes. I would recommend Clancy's towing to anyone in need of assistance. Very reasonable prices especially for someone on a low budget. Today I called to have my truck towed to a mechanic and within the hour Jonathan arrived and was able to get my truck hooked up rapidly and taken without any issues. He was extremely kind and polite and showed care and consideration for my vehicle while displaying complete professionalism. I will 100% use this towing company again. 1st, I have used Clancy's Towing for over 20 years. We don't need them took frequently but when we have they have never let us down. One of my vehicles is a lift 92' GMC. This was the first vehicle they towed for us over 20 years ago. They were professional and got me and my truck safely to the shop. Today I had a flat on the 52 East. Of course, during rush hour. I called and the fellas who took my info was thorough and even figured out that I was in the wrong highway... don't ask. I pinned my location and he found me. He sent someone out and JONATHAN got there within 40minutes. He was courteous, professional, and even figured out the problem quickly. He tried putting air in the tire, he realized it was a slow leak and switched it out with the spare. I think he worked in a NASCAR pit crew. He had me back on the road within about 20min. These guys are all great and I will continue to call them. Thanks for all the help 🥰🤙

We needed a tow on Sunday night at 6pm when a wheel bearing failed on our travel trailer on Hwy I8. Chose to call Clancy’s because of their google rating. They were fabulous. Arrived within 1/2 hour. Nathan efficiently got the trailer onto a flatbed and took us to In-Ka-Pah Machinery. Thanks for your kindness and expertise, Nathan.

I’d rather push my car with two broken legs over a mountain in a snow storm than use this company. Do you have a nice vehicle? You won’t anymore if they get their hands on it. Their classless driver will play ping pong with your vehicle as it’s towed to their junk yard.

Complete jerks to me when I was parked in a spot I wasn’t supposed to because the No Parking sign was blocked by another car and there were no spots available where I was taking my mother for lunch on her birthday. She is legally blind and I needed a safe place to park. I had only been there five minutes and they hadn’t even finished attaching my car when I approached them to ask them to please not tow it and explained the situation and that I’d move it. They blatantly ignored me and continued hooking up my car. At which point they told me they’d unhook it for $102. This is going to sound like I made it up but I had pictures to prove to them that I was telling the truth. That the sign was blocked (by the other car they were towing away. Even after they had started to move it the sign was till mostly blocked.) Also, that I NEEDED my car to return to Children’s hospital where my son is ICU after open heart surgery. They told me that “everyone has a sad story.” Rudest people I have ever encountered with no kindness, mercy or understanding. When my husband tried to call their offices he was hung up on four times.

Terrible fraudulent company. Was told it would take $150 to tow my car but if over an hour it would be $300 . The car was only towed for 10 minutes and I was STILL CHARGED THE $300! Never again, would rather use any other company than this one

Misleading company that charged me an absurd amount to have my car towed and driver wasn’t careful with my car. Like how the hell did it take you longer than an hour to tow my car that's 15 minutes away from my house... I asked a reputable towing shop, and they told me it shouldn't have took the driver longer than 30 minutes to tow my car to my house. This company is trashy, unprofessional, and just super shady and not reputable whatsoever. Would not recommend. Theres way better towing companies in East County, use quite literally any other company than this one. Avoid these guys at all costs. And if patrol calls them, deny their service and I advise you to call a different company.
