The service department exceeded my expectations in every way. I brought in my Bolt for a recall and a safety inspection. Service was completed promptly. The employees in the service department were cheerful and energetic. Compared to other service departments, it was so refreshing! AND they even gave my Bolt a free carwash.

Great experience. Took care of a check engine light. It was a problem with the exhaust system. Had to order a part, but had it fixed and ready in two days. Warranty repair even though the car was a 2017. Very happy.

They did exactly what they promised they would do and no upselling. To me no upselling is very important - I tend to leave businesses that try to upsell.

Jason, service representative, was excellent. Efficient, communicated clearly timing and what would be done. Followed up promptly when work completed. Also let me know that a rodents nest was found in AC box so we could try to prevent in future. Overall great service from coastal.

It’s always a poor experience here I’m not sure why I keep taking my car here for service. They charged me $250 just to check the check engine light and the proceeded to belittle me by telling me my car is old and that they needed approval for a warranty my car is under and had to keep my car for multiple days but didn’t provide a rental while my car was waiting to get fixed.

Everybody at the dealership is so incredibly nice and helpful. They got my car in within a few minutes of getting to the dealership and my car service was actually completed earlier than projected. All in all, wonderful service from a wonderful dealership.

Charley went to bat for me on helping me get my cost of repair and parts lowered since it was a safety issue of having to get my airbag censor replaced. He sent me pictures of my car throughout the repair and provided me with updates. The dealership also provided an uber to get me to work while my car was being worked on and made sure I had one if needed to get back to the dealership when the repair was done. I am so grateful.

I was happy to schedule a service day of, get right in, and then wait for the service to be completed. They had a nice room with all the amenities where I could make a coffee and do work. Very impressed.

I made an appt for an oil change at the dealership where I leased my car. I usually take my car to a trusted mechanic but decided to bring it to the dealership since they sent me a coupon. Worst decision! I make an appt for an oil change at 10am. I arrive on time. I ask the Assistant Service Manager Danny how long did he think it would be because Im going back to work and will be off at 130pm and I can come by then to pick up. He tells me that there are 7 cars ahead of me and my car should be done right around 130 or shortly after that. Sounds good, right? I present him a coupon that I received in the mail for $89.99. He looks it over and asks when I received this because he hasn't seen one of these in a long time. I told him I received it in the mail two days ago! He looks it over and says "well, ok. I don't see an expiration date." He says if my car is done sooner he will call me. Well no call from Danny so I stop by after work and get there at 2pm. I'm told they havent even started on my car. I ask why since I had a 10am appt - its been 4 hours? He tells me there were a lot of cars dropped off this morning and I remind him I had an appt at 10am. Some other guy sitting in the corner says there were 20 cars brought in - again, I say I had a 10am appt. Why did I make an appt if you aren't going to honor the appts? So the service department closes at 5, I had things to do so I left and told Danny to call me as soon as it was done. At 415pm he calls! Very cheerful he says "your cars ready! I'll get the paperwork going now". I finally get my car 6-1/2 hours later. Can someone HONESTLY explain to me how your appointment scheduling and service works? It seems that the "walk in drop offs" had a higher priority than those that made appts. Appts should be seen when their time comes up regardless of those that drop off. Drop offs should be seen first come first served AFTER the appointment holder! My husband and I both leased cars June/July 2024 and we did so because I had a previous business relationship with Eddie. My next car will be my "forever car" instead of leasing. I will have to strongly consider what your service is like and whether it improves before making a final decision. Unfortunately, my interractions with this dealership from the very beginning has NOT been up to par to what service I have been given at Honda and Chrysler. I can only hope for improvement

Routine service. First appointment was made for late morning but the technician goes to lunch from 12 - 1. I could not sit and wait during his lunch hour! Rescheduled. The new coffee machine is excellent.

(This is a review by my husband Gregg Welsh. He does not have a Google account but was appalled by how he was treated.) “If I could give Coastal Chevrolet Santa Barbara a minus 14 stars, I would. I purchased a 2021 3500 Highlander truck from this dealership, and in the past, their service was great. However, my recent experience was unacceptable. Two weeks ago, I brought the truck in for basic service — it only has 15,000 miles on it. I waited at the dealership, but they told me they couldn’t finish that day. They said if I made an appointment and came in early, it would be done by noon. I scheduled the appointment for the following week and arrived at 6:30 AM, before the dealership even opened. I was assured the service would be completed by noon. When I came back at 1:00 PM, not only had they not started the service, but they said they’d have to keep the truck for a few extra days to get to it — or I could make another appointment. When I asked if making another appointment would guarantee same-day service, they said they couldn’t guarantee that either. To make matters worse, the salesman, Chris, came over. I had been considering a new truck, but I told him directly that I would never buy from a dealer that treats its customers this way. I had rearranged my work schedule for this appointment, and the lack of respect and accountability was shocking. Do not buy or service your Chevy at this dealership.” -Gregg Welsh

False Advertising with a coupon mailer. I received an email advertisement (attached) advertising 20% ANY service if booked via the online link in the ad, and I had to have the service in a certain time period. I did everything according to the ad, plus I confirmed there was no small print - you can see this for yourself. I even showed the service advisor the ad and my confirmation email when I dropped my car off. Of course he quickly let me know that my type of service --- Oil change, lube, rotate tires, and replace battery --- was NOT eligible for the 20% off. When I asked him to show me where it says that on the flyer, he could not and said something dismissive. I left my car for the service because I needed it, and left pissed off. I then went out of my way to find the General Manager Alex Ramirez's email because calling him directly was met with receptionists not allowing me to speak with him if I didn't tell them what it was about first. I found his email, sent him the description of my issues and even copied him on his own ad. Of course, Crickets... Not a Word... So here I am, letting all of you and the Better Business Bureau know that False Advertising is an issue and not a good business tactic.

I went there last Tuesday March 3. After about 2 hours browsing and test driving couple of cars, the sales guy tired to do his hard sale. I totally understand that this was his job even thouth it maked me feeling pressured. When I told him that I need to get my wife opinion on his offer, he expressed his frustration by saying "man, you wasted 3 hours of my time"...... Well, this made me feel uncomfortable. HOW RUDE. I will never come back.

Kevin was very helpful, polite, and professional. Additionally, Daphnee, who stepped in as a van driver, was delightful. You are lucky to have two such wonderful employees! However, your phone calls and emails are really super annoying. I have purchased 3 cars from the dealership. If calls and emails continue, please be assured that I will never buy another car from you!!
