They were able to accommodate an emergency situation quickly, provided updates, and were very thorough with findings and recommendations. They even stayed late to get the job done, which was very much appreciated. Absolutely professional operation; very satisfied with the results.

Over all did a good on my car. A couple of small issues: they forgot to give me back the key for my locking lug nuts but dropped the key off later in my mailbox, the invoice said they set the tire pressure to 33 in the front and 31 in the rear but all tires were at 36, put on a mismatch of valve stem caps for some reason. Little things but made me wonder about their attention to detail. I will use them again. Follow up: I was hearing a noise coming from the front end so I asked them to take a look and see if it was caused by the work they did on the brakes. Turned out to be a separate issue. They worked with me to find the problem then fixed it. Were fair about the price and very helpful scheduling the work.

My go-to in San Diego for vehicle repair needs. Always honest and professional. I have an uncommon vehicle so it's nice that I can trust them to properly care for my car.

Got my vehicle pre inspection here and I will say it was a bit expensive, but everything was broken down in an efficient way. Customer service was great, and they even gave me a digital link with videos about all of the maintenance so I know what to look for in the future. Overall great experience: 10/10 PS: the inspection took about 4 hours so be prepared to wait!

I wish I didn’t have to rate them… It hasn’t even been a year they ripped me off about $1200 just for breaks and already. I’m needing another break job… I’m going to find out what kind of work they did soon I was warned about them from someone who works at Carmax, but I was in a hurry to get this done and they were the only ones available. They were the only ones available because they lose business by ripping people off. Do not believe the 4.6 star rating just a few months ago it wasn’t even a 3 star on . Avoid this place !

In all my decades of owning a car, this was one of the worst experiences at a mechanic. I went there a few times and it just kept getting worse. Very expensive. Also, recommending repairs my other mechanics told me were not necessary!!! The Frank Zappa song Flakes comes to mind. No need to try to contact me. I won't delete my post. I will not respond to any attempt to regain our trust. Our money will not be spent at this business in the future. You get one star for the free ice cold bottled water in the lobby and a clean bathroom. That's it. Update- As of January 2026 our car is still on the road today- thanks to our New honest mechanics- not these people. No obsolete parts. No failed emissions. Avoid Convoy Auto Repair.

Took my campervan in after a 2,500mi cross-country road trip. Had a popping noise coming from the front left side and needed all the standard maintenance done (oil change, tire rotation, etc). It took a few days and a few mechanics investigating the noise but, collectively, they were able to find the pop noise coming from the transmission mounts. Joe and Roman were attentive, thorough, and kept me informed the entire time. I ended up getting a few additional repairs done because I have high mileage and it was time to take care of some other things. They didn’t push or manipulate me into doing repairs that were unnecessary. Their prices were not cheap but not outrageous. Overall, it was a great experience and I would totally recommend Convoy Auto Repair to others. 2017 RAM Promaster 2500 147k miles.

Brought my car in to get diagnosed. Real stand up guys in there. Unfortunately couldnt find the issue because was some issue needed to see the dealership about but non the less Joe did what he could, was clear and honest, and gave me some more recommendations. Even got a free shuttle from Roman to my home while my car was being diagnosed. In the future I would recommend again! -Rob B

Kind and efficient staff! Great service 😊 On a misty night after a long day at work I put ”Bio Fuel” aka diesel 😭 in my Toyota Sequoia. Roman was so supportive and the price was to flush the diesel out was reasonable. They’ve helped us in the past too with our BMW. Everytime we’ve left as happy customers.

I took my Jeep Wrangler in for service on my suspension and steering. Joe did a great job explaining the issues with my vehicle in a way I can understand. Patrick, the technician did an excellent job by the looks of the repairs I can see and how my vehicle now drives. I highly recommend Convoy Auto Repair, their professionalism and overall establishment presentation was impressive and in my opinion, set the standard for how an auto repair shop should be.

I want to give a 5 STAR appreciation for Roman. I came in with my 2007 Mustang Gt, which had a COUPLE of REAL ANNOYING PROBLEMS. 1.My climate control actuators making a clicking knocking noise. 2. The gas gauge NOT WORKING issue. I had NEVER used this shop before. I always used the dealer in the past, out of just not knowing or trusting a shop. Which of course always costs more. Roman was very attentive to my needs and kept me informed during the entire process which i thought was quite surprising. I didn't even have to call. He was already on it. He also sent me a video of one of my rear shocks..on my Mustang. It was leaking fluid. I had that problem on one of my earlier Mustangs. He also took the time to show me the old parts of the gas gauge issue of what they looked like and the function of each..and what contributory part in which it played for the gas gauge failing to read correctly. The staff i came across were pretty friendly also. Customer service is a big thing to me in this business. People want the assurance of leaving the car with a knowledgeable repair shop to take care of their mechanical issues. Everything is much better now. Thank you.

I brought my car here last week because my air conditioner is giving off a smell. I had my oil changed and filters changed recently but they recommended I take it to a mechanic to be looked at. I called and made an appt 2-3 days before after googling and their a/c inspection deal came up. I brought my car in at 8am as scheduled. They didn't called me until after 1pm with their findings - seems like a while before they inspected the car but whatever. They had to unblock a tub and use whatever they use to clean the system. $333. I told them that if they could get it done today, I would like them to please do it. They did and I went to pick it up before they closed at 5pm. I paid the $333, the guy told me that the price was pretty good or not so bad. I got in my car, drove off, began to but the invoice in my glove box at a red light and realized, there is no glove box. I looked all over the car and it was in the back seat. I called them, they asked if I could come back so they could check it out/put it back. I turned around and went back and two men were waiting for me. One of them put it back in and made some dumb comment like "oh there's the glove box" and I left. My a/c still smells the exact same as when I brought it in. So honestly, who knows if they did anything to the car at all? I saw their follow-through with the glove box - I would not be surprised . $333 is a little rough when the issue is not solved. I'll stay away from this shop and would recommend anyone else do the same.

I was made aware of this repair shop from repair pal through Carmax! They helped me so much, and dealt with all the back and forth of my warranty. It was a breath of fresh air to be supported by a mechanic like this. The process was so long but not because of this shop, once they were able to get the ball rolling I was IN AND OUT. Their communication was flawless and I never felt lost in it all. All is sorted now and I feel confident in the work that was done. I’m beyond grateful to Joe for taking so much time out of his month to help me and get me back on the road!

I have had both my Subarus serviced at Convoy multiple times. They are quick, professional, and a much better deal than the dealership. Their repairs and service are reliable, and the one time they received the wrong part and added days to the service timeline, they paid for my rental car to make things right.

I was local for a repair shop that worked on Teslas besides the actual Tesla repair center and Convoy Auto Repair was able to fix my suspension really fast. They are certified and were able to schedule and complete my repairs in less than 2 days. They were also able to work with my third party warranty company in order to get them to cover the cost of the repair.

I think 4/5 is a fair review. While I have no issue with the repairs - I do feel slightly taken advantage of price-wise. I took my truck in and told them that I had done an OBD-II scan that said the check engine was due to LIN bus disconnect. A simple Google regarding that fault 99% points to an issue with the active grill shutter assembly. Ok so I take it in with that info, and still get a $170 diagnostic fee to tell me it was just that... Then the part on the receipt doesn't say what brand my new shutter assembly is, it just says $600+ looking around the Internet the highest price I see for one is $360. Making that a 75% markup. Labor, I'm not going to dispute this, charge whatever it's your business. In total though this cost me $1250+ Did they solve the issue, yes. That's what matters - however there are a plethora of auto shops right, so the difference between being a repeat customer for life or shopping around next time can hinge on price transparency and honesty. Which I felt was a little lacking and thus I think 4/5 stars is a fair and honest review.

Fantastic experience! I went in thinking I had blown a front strut when I hit a deep washboard rut. After carefully reviewing my concerns it was determined no damage was done, but a 4-wheel alignment was recommended (and completed). Communication throughout was superb. I cannot image a better experience! I shall return in the future!
