I purchased a 2011 Mini Cooper S that failed SMOG. The SMOG store said I had a blown head gasket and probably needed a new engine. Went to an auto repair shop and the head mechanic said the same thing, however, he referred me to Ben at Cook's Auto Repair. Ben and a tech were able to immediately determine that it was an oil issue, not coolant, and the culprit was most likely a bad PCV valve. They replaced it and bingo, it was only a $500 repair rather than thousands of dollars. I live an hour away from Cook's, but I will bring my vehicles here from now on!! The entire staff are courteous and knowledgeable.

I have a 20 year old car with over 200K miles. I've had a lot of work done to it at Cooks and so far their prices have been reasonable and I haven't had any issues with any of the work done. They're good guys and they aren't out to fleece you like a lot of repair shops are. Highly recommended.

If they find additional items wrong besides what the car is brought in for, they let you know with an honest recommendation of when to replace it. Any time my truck is in town and close to any service required, I don't wait to get it home, this is the shop!

Cooks Auto saved my Audi Allroad! I could not be happier. My fuel pump decided to give out while I was on the freeway. !! BEAWARE OF THIS PLACE"CROOKS AUTO REPAIR"" ??"FROM ME - I WOULD NOT USE THEM !! " After I came here for Oil Change I Brought my own oil and own filter - I believe they did NOT use my oil and my filter ( as confirmed by my later oil change months later) Also the cheap filter they installed was very low quality and was not even tightened properly - so it started leaking Luckily my car gives alerts to I went to a reliable place and got my oil changed in a LEGITIMATE way I would NEVER come here - I do not trust my car with corrupt and dishonest mechanic - my car engine could have been seized costing me over $20 k ( or junked my car) BUYER BE AWARE !!!

Cooks is great!!! Fantastic auto mechanics. Ben and he's crew helped me out quick and easy! I was in a time crunch to drive across states to Norfolk, Virginia. They replaced the radiator while I was checking the car out from used car dealer ship but while talking to Ben he assured me that he would help me out and check out everything else with the car. Paid the inspection car came back clean! Car ran me all the way from Rio Vista California to Norfolk Virginia with no problems the only issue I have is there is no shop near me where I can continuously bring it to them. Thank you To Cooks and their mechanics.

Cook’s Auto Repair has been outstanding for me on several occasions. When the engine on my Toyota Tundra went out, they not only sourced a replacement at a great price down in LA, but also installed it flawlessly. I’ve also taken our Subaru and Audi there, and both cars got the attention and care they needed. Every experience has been smooth and trustworthy, and now I only take my vehicles to Cook’s. Amazing service! I had Cooks perform a Pre Purchase Inspection for me. I live in Las Vegas, and took the task to heart, becoming my eyes & ears for everything that had to do with the car. In fact, Gage went out of his way to track the car down after the inspection was complete & the car returned to the dealership, to provide me images of the worn areas of the car. He went above & beyond!.. And charged me no more than any other PPI. High quality people performing excellent work! Highly recommend!

Don’t waste your time going anywhere else. I always get excellent service, they are fairly priced and there is a nice comfortable waiting area with a few magazines, cold water machine and clean restroom. I have been coming here for years after the Toyota dealership tried to rip me off and charge 6K for the electric tailgate, while Cooks Auto found the issue was a disconnected wiring harness and signed it for under $100. We even bring my wife’s little Hyundai Sonata hybrid here and never had a negative experience. They also have a 2.3% discount for anyone who pays with cash so they can pass on the savings to the customer for avoiding credit card transaction fees. Oil change, air filters, smog, basic maintenance and tire rotations are always something I can count on Cooks to do effectively and without comprising quality.
