Very long waiting time even with appointment. Usually take 3 hours plus to have tire rotation and balances. Their warranty also went down severely when Costco switching their employee bonus to warranty paid out. They tried their hardest to not honor their tire warranty. I witnessed their employee mentioned to a customer that they need to have their tire aligned every six months in addition to following the tire rotation schedule to receive the warranty.

If I could rate my experience at this place as a zero I would, but it doesn’t give me that option. About two months ago I purchased two tires from this location. Within a month one tire had a nail that caused a leak. Another two weeks later the other tire had a hole in it that was unsafe to fix. I tried to take my car in for the necessary repairs but they couldn’t fix it that day and I needed to either drop off my car all day and miss out on working the next day or make an appointment. My car doesn’t have a spare tire, so I had to make a temporary fix just to make it drivable until I could go for my appointment. The tire repair facility staff were extremely rude and did not know how to communicate. They took my car to evaluate the tires for damage. After waiting for over four hours they told me that my warranty was voided because of the necessary repairs. Even though I had explained the whole situation to them they ended up waisting almost an entire day of my time only to tell me that my almost two month tires would need to both be replaced with brand new ones. What is the point of a warranty if they cannot make time for emergency tire repair services and if you have to make do until they have time for you only to take my time and want more money for barely used tires?

Went in this morning for a tire replacement. Tech Gerardo D was very helpful and professional. He also patiently addressed my concerns for tire rotation. I’m grateful for his expertise and service.

Major waste of time and unprofessional, they try to sell you most expensive tires and other stuff then can't provide service due to crazy reasons. Every staff member gives different info and no consideration to people's time having to go back and forth.

I don't typically write reviews, but the service here was amazing! Special shout out to Daniel, Chris and Johnny. I called the previous day asking for tires for a walk-in as it was urgent, and they precisely told me how I could get it done. Walked in early on a Saturday morning, they got me my tires. Although they said 7pm, it was ready by noon. Spare tire neatly put back, and an extra neatly packaged in a bag. I had a small issue with one of the installed tires, and they happily accommodated my request. Totally 5 star experience!

Dropped off a tire (not the whole car...just the tire) for a simple in-warranty puncture repair through the tread at around 6 pm. After inspecting the tire, the technician explained they were short on technicians and would do their best to patch it by the end of the day and would call when it was ready. No call that night...not a problem since it wasn't a guarantee. Waited until the store had been open for an hour before calling, but the technician who answered said "we have walk-ins" in front of you! I got the feeling that not being in the store meant that every new walk in was "in front of you." Drove to the tire center and found the lobby empty (good news, right?). Spoke to the technician and got a "let me speak to the manager". Tech came back and said "our promise is to fix it by 7 pm." He confirmed that the repair is a 5-minute job but that I was behind all of the customers with scheduled appointments. Very simple job given that I removed the tire and will put it back on for Costco. No appreciation that I am saving them the time and effort of having to bring the car into the shop, put it on a lift, remove it, reinstall and retorque the lugs. Any other shop would fit this request in within an hour. Town Fair Tire will fix tire punctures for free for anyone regardless of where you bought it, but I believe that Costco should honor their warranty. I also assumed that they would take less than two days to do it.

The actual tire guys were polite and friendly, but Costco itself lacked customer service. They say when you order your tires that it'll be 5-10 business days after your order for them to arrive, and they'll give you a call or email to let you know the tires arrive at the shop. I ordered on 3/7. They said the tires shipped on 3/10. I thought I was more than patient and didn't call them until 4/4--almost 20 business days had passed with no word. They called Michelin to see where my tires were. The next day they called me back and said my tires were delivered 4 or 5 days before I called.

I had a tire installation appointment for 10:00 am and was told it would take about two hours. My partner and I went shopping in the mean time and came back at 11:45 am to check on the status, and they had just started. They didn't finish until 1 pm. If you're getting something done here, I suggest you drop off your car with someone else so that you're not stuck waiting around for hours for what should be a relatively short process. The staff were nice though and apologized for the delay. Updating the review. One of my tires that I had purchased through Costco this year had popped and the folks at the shop were nice enough to give me a replacement for free since it was under warranty. They worked with me to make sure I would have a replacement tire this week so I could get back to my regular work schedule. I purchased a tire before the install to make sure they did not sell out, and was reimbursed after the tire install. They let me do a walk in appointment on a Sunday. Walk in spots are first come first serve and are limited, so do get there before the shop opens to get in line if you need to do that.

Go somewhere else. This tire center is unprofessional and make up all type of reason to not service the tires that they sold.

I got there at 7:15 ON A SATURDAY to get my tires rotated. I waited 30+ minutes in line. I asked how long to get my tires rotated. At least 4.5 hours. I just don't get what they expect of people. I told them maybe let customers in line know how long the wait time is as you serve others so they don't wait 30 minutes and realize this is gonna be an impossible wait. It's just really unacceptable. Of all the things Costco does well, it's not the tire center. I've had this experience at at least 3 Costco's 😢

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at Costco Tire. I took my van in for a tire that was losing air and suspected there might be a nail or damage. The tire was only 6 months old, having been purchased in June 2024, so it was still fairly new. The mechanic checked the tire and assured me that there was no issue, simply filling up the air and telling me to return if the pressure dropped again. The next morning, the tire was flat again—50% of the air had gone out. I brought it back to Costco Tire, dropping my car off as soon as they opened at 8:00 AM. However, after hours, I received a call around 7:15 PM (after closing hours), stating that the tire was "fine" and there was no issue with it. The mechanic also told me they found a nail in a different tire and switched it with my spare. Despite these assurances, the very next morning, the tire that was supposedly "fine" went flat again. I was frustrated and went to another mechanic, who discovered that there was indeed a nail in the tire that Costco Tire had claimed was fine. This nail had been in the tire for the past three days, causing a slow leak, and was never properly addressed by Costco Tire. Additionally, I was rushed and dismissed when I was asked to pick up my car. My concerns were not taken seriously, and I was given no proper resolution, leaving me to deal with an unresolved issue for days. It feels as though the mechanic working the closing shift may have rushed through the inspection and didn’t perform a thorough check of the tire, simply wanting to finish up their shift. I am very disappointed by the lack of care and professionalism shown in this situation. I will be reconsidering my future business with Costco Tire in this location and would advise others to be cautious with their service.

Went in to get a car battery for my Prius. The guy gave us the wrong battery even though my bf and I clarified if it’s the same one for all Prius. He said yes. Other car shops said it’s different for Prius/make and model. Such a waste of time and effort. If they can’t get this right, then who knows if they are taking care or servicing your cars properly. Good luck guys and safe driving! Update: ZERO STARS!!!! Called back to tell them the guy gave us the wrong battery. He then says the Sunnyvale location has the correct battery for my car and to return the wrong one over there since I’ll go to that location. Went to Sunnyvale location just to find out that no Costco tire centers carry my car battery. Costco tire center!!! Please educate your staff better. Clearly this staff doesn’t know what they are doing

Automated Tire inflation pumps. Located on far end next to Tire Center; not near gas pumps. Two stalls to park your car in - any which way; heads in or tail in and coiled air pump cord will reach all four tires easily. Simple to use; just increase or decrease desired PSI value to inflate tire. Car tire pressure is typically around 32-35 PSI and can be found on the car’s inside door handle. Connect it to your tire valve and the machine will display tire current pressure value and will automatically pump additional air to desired pressure. An audible sound will tell you that it reaches the desired pressure so there’s no need to look at the screen. Area is well lit and safe and away from heavy traffic.

The parking lot is a warzone, The reserved spots for the tire center are completely full. Even if you have an appointment, it's still a 1 to 2-hour wait for a simple tire repair. They didn't even bother to call or text me once my car was ready. I guess at least my tire did get repaired, and it did have appointments available within a reasonable timeframe unlike most other Costcos here. [Edit: I did get an SMS that my car was ready... 30 minutes after I'd already picked it up.]

Avoid this shop they are maybe underpaid and not interested in doing any work. Saturday evening and they hold up the line stalling until clock runs out. Telling every customer they dont have their tire and they cant order it cause the customers are easy going or have a language barrier and dont know they are making stuff up and just trying to get out of there. After that nonsense I went to the Master tires around the corner open 24/7 a tiny one person shop got in and out in 15 minutes with replaced tire. Not that hard. Its not rocket science and acting like they cant do something the shop is made to do cause employees lazy is bad for business Who is running this place?

!! WORST MISTAKE !! This was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had with a tire service. First, scheduling was a nightmare. I had to reschedule multiple times just to get an actual appointment. One of their employees even gave me a 9:15 AM appointment, and when I arrived, I was told that time “wasn’t possible” — their own scheduling system allowed it, but they refused to honor it. When they finally checked my tires, they were unable to fix the issue. Instead, they called me multiple times, exaggerating the problem and pushing me hard to buy new tires. When I declined, they refused to provide any documentation about their inspection (even after I asked for it) and were incredibly rude throughout the process. Special mention to Jonny (Vietnamese) and the tall, bald, white, loud employee for setting a new low bar for customer service. Their attitude made the entire experience miserable. I would never recommend this location. Go here only if you enjoy being treated poorly or don’t care about your car.

This costco has the worst service! It's terribly slow. It took 40 minutes just to be able to drop off my car for a slow leak on one tire. I had an appointment and they still took all day to do the job.

Appointment at 7pm. Arrived at 6.30pm. Came back to the tire center to check at 8pm. Car still in the parking. Asked them why. They said its a busy day... Its an appointment dude. Appointments are worthless at this place. Also the dude in the front lied about the times

One star! 😡 Absolutely the WORST experience at the Costco Tire Center on Senter Road in San Jose! Let me paint you a picture: I booked an appointment to get my tires replaced, which was already a pain because their system is clunky. Showed up on time, and then the waiting began... and began... and BEGAN. FOUR HOURS of my life wasted. To make matters worse, I had to Uber back and forth from home because who wants to spend 4 hours in tire purgatory? That's $100 down the drain, thanks Costco! Finally, I get called up to the counter, only to be told by some clueless guy that they couldn't replace my tires because of some made-up issue with the "brand" of my car! Seriously?! Then, like magic, he talks to his manager and suddenly everything is fine and fixed in 10 MINUTES. What a joke! So basically, I wasted an entire Saturday, blew $100 on Uber, and dealt with incompetent staff. Oh, and did I mention the parking lot is a nightmare? Avoid this place like the plague.

The workers are knowledgeable on their tire options, but this shop is extremely backed up and extremely slow. Waited outside before they opened the morning of my appointment, but was still behind a few people, and every customer they talk to takes 10 minutes or more. They quoted 90mins-2 hours to replaced my tires, said they would contact me when it was done. I walked around Costco for 3 hours as nothing else decent close by, and nothing. I was getting tired of waiting so I went to the shop to see if my car was ready, and it got finished around the 3 hour 15 minute mark
