Best value for tires in the area especially when they have a promo. I recently paid around $110 per Michelin tire for my sedan which already included installation and repairs for the life of each tire. Other auto shops were charging more for lower quality (non-Michelin) tires, not even including all the other stuff. The only challenge with the Costco Tire Center is getting an appointment for installation. But you can usually avoid that by trying your luck on a weekday. I left my car there in the morning and they were able to squeeze in my tire installation in between appointments. I then just came back in the afternoon to pick up my car.

While I have free rotations and balancing from the place I bought my tires, I thought "why not spend a couple bucks to shop and eat while I wait?" Unfortunately, this thought process was not worthwhile. I went in about a week ago to have my tires rotated and balanced as the time was due. Upon leaving, the very minor shake at highway speeds was now worse... which made me fear the worst as well. Almost immediately after leaving I decided it was likely time to get my brakes done as well. After replacing all 4 brake pads and rotors on my car, the wobble continued. I was also notified that a few of the lug nuts on the front passenger side wheel were only hand tight. Slightly alarming to say the least. Even after this, and making the assumption that my wheels were correctly balanced, the slight wobble at highway speeds was still present. There's nothing more annoying to me than a squeak or shake... so I soon found myself back at the tire shop where I originally purchased my tires for another look After another fair wait, I was notified that the wheels that were balanced less than a week ago were very much out of balance. Long story short, go anywhere else if you actually want the work you've paid for to be completed. This is my first and last time at this Costco Tire Center

I was very pleasantly surprised by the extensive courtesy and high level of customer service. I limped in late on a Saturday. They had a specialty tire replaced within 48 hours. They got the tire, set my appointment and kept their word. Good job!

Ordered tires online and was marked delivered after a couple of days later. Confirmed with the tire center if they had it and went for a walk-in service since I didn't want to wait another week or so for my appointment. Tire center rep then says that my tires were never delivered and to call Costco to find out. Didn't provide number or any other further assistance, even after. Costco checks and says they never delivered or received. Check with the delivery people and they confirm that it was delivered and signed for by so and so at Costco.

Friendly service. I brought in my own new tires for them to install. They will suggest any necessary service such as alignment (Note: they don't do alignment though). I walked in at around 9:30 am Saturday morning and got it back at 2 pm. All four tires are inflated with nitrogen (which is found to be more able to maintain stable tire pressure since it is less sensitive to temperature changes). I'm happy with the service.

Took my car here on 12/26 to get my tires changes or patch it if fixable, after being told in phone that there are tires in the store for my car type and to bring it by 9 am when called few days before. I arrive at 8:55 am. Zack assisted and informed it may take a while and I asked how many hours we are talking about. He said 4 hrs. like half a day. Ok cool I can shop and go for a walk to other shops nearby. Went back after half a day later and car was still not touched. I asked Zack how long still. He said since I was a walk in it's going to take time and they will call me when ready. I asked for Jay Singh since he was very reasonable and helpful when i was there last time. Unfortunately, he not in. Zack said Jay is not my manager anymore. Like I don't know Jay was manager or supervisor. I left the place and waited for them to call me and got call at 4:39 pm stating that my tires are not patchable and i need to purchase tires and come back when the tires are ready for the change. It took them almost 8 hrs to tell me that? Gave me quote for 4 tires and it was estimate of over $800. I just needed one tire and they wasted my entire day. They did not take care of anything and took advantage of me being new to the state and a woman. Took my car somewhere else and got it fixed in couple hrs the very next day. Costco tires as a loyal customer learn to serve with fairness and put yourself in others shoe. If Jay Singh was in this would not have happened.

I would take my car at least 4 times to get it check out because my car would start shaking after a, “tire balance”. My mechanic told me they had not done the tire balance properly, I had to go to another shop and pay out of pocket to get my tires actually balanced and the shaking stopped. I bought my tires at Costco so I would not have to pay for a tire balance or anything else. It was a waste of money and time coming to Costco and putting people to work on a car that don’t know what they are doing or maybe not even care of doing their job properly because they are always in a hurry. It is so annoying coming and waiting 2 hours each time so they would do absolutely nothing.

These guys are amazing! I bought a set of tires and had the appointment for tire change today. I was worried before I came in because the tires I got are infamously hard to balance but that was not a problem for these guys. The whole process was so smooth and the new tires are working perfectly. Couldn’t be happier.

Not impressed with the service. Arrived 20 min ahead of my appt, was told it would be about a 90 min job (repair, rotation, balance), but 90 min after my appt they still had not started on my car.

They damaged my BMW’s front lip, I’m assuming they parked it way too close to the concrete. Manager denied it of course. I emailed the CEO & wrote a letter to executive escalations. I’ll write an update once we have a verdict… (UPDATE! 06-10-2025, I have officially won the claim, took the right tactics for them to work with me but it was effective upon talking to the right people).

One of the best experiences I've had at a Costco Tire Center, and really just an automotive place in general! I had an early 8AM appointment and Javier checked my car in, it took 2-3min and I was on my way. He called ~30min later saying that my car was done! When I came to pick up my car, Javier saw me in line and just handed me the keys even while he was helping another customer! Crazy good service, and it looked like he had a great attitude, I know Costco tire center employees have a crazy amount of work so it was nice to see him a) in a good mood, b) attentive, and c) the place just felt well run! Wanted to put in a good word and let the managers of this Costco know something is going well! Hope they keep it up! I'll be back!

I really want to commend the Tire Center team here. I bought 4 new tires on the Costco app and needed them installed… they were in stock/delivered but the next available appt. time was longer than I wanted to wait so I wanted to take a chance and try for a walk-in installation prior to my appt day. I called and the guy who answered was polite, informative, and helpful in giving tips on how to get as quickly serviced as possible as a walk-in. (Go early) I went in at 8:10 (doors open at 8:30) and got my phone call that my car was ready at 11:10. Not bad and really pretty quick considering there were 4 walk-ins ahead of me. From the initial phone call, the moment I walked in, and getting my car back with new feet, the guys here were friendly, polite, and professional as can be. Much appreciated, and thank you!

Finally decided to try out the new technology with Bridgestone tires on my Lexus SUV and went with ordering them thru Costco in FC. Made install appt online and arrived about 30 mins prior and quickly was taken in. 4 new tires and 4 new tire sensors later.... it was completed within an hour and the techs would call with periodic updates as I kicked back on the sample couches inside the store. I mostly wish to write a high recommendation for the service tech who helped me. He was extremely knowledgeable about each tire manufacturer, their ratings, warranties, and history. Needless to say, I was very impressed with his professionalism, expertise, cordial and friendly manner. They even lined my seat with plastic protection. I would highly recommend this tire center and plan to bring my Tesla MX next time it's needed. Need a battery.... buy it here, but don't forget your old battery as they give you $15 back. Update: had a blow out on my wife's Y and came down on Friday to order a new set. Surprisingly, they had my size in stock (usually it takes 2 days if you order at the front desk or 5 days if ordered online) and could have put them on that day. However, I wasn't driving it, so made an appointment for the next day. I highly don't recommend coming on the weekends as the wait was longer than it needed to be. I arrived about 10-15 min early, but still had to wait about an hour and a half just for the fully staffed techs to pull it into the bay. Overall, it took about 45 min for all 4 new tires to be installed and kudos to the techs for being quick and efficient given the amount of customers on a weekend. Note that there is supposed to be reserved parking just for the repair shop, but most of the spaces were filled by regular shoppers (non coned cars in the reserved spaces). They should enforce it somehow with warning tixs or something 🤔

Very disheartening visit on 11/15/25 at 10 AM to Costco tire shop in foster city. I had a flat tire with my 1 year old toddler in the car. Barely was able to pull into the parking lot of Costco safely. When I entered the tire shop to ask for help I was refused service and told that they were no longer taking walk ins and if I wanted to leave my car overnight and they can try and help me tomorrow that was it. I let them know I had no way of transportation and that I had my 1 year toddler with me and begged for help and the manager and even associate just told me no and that they already told 6 people ahead of me no. What is the point of being a member and having a tire shop attached to every Costco if this is the type of service we get as members. Needless to say Americas Tires come through to save the day. And Costco, please do better. You turned down a single mother with a toddler and that isn’t the Costco service anyone should be getting.

Extremely disappointed with the service at this location. We arrived with a flat tire during a road trip and were made to wait 30 minutes just for the 'check-in' process. After the wait, we were told they were closing and could not help us. Had they been upfront about their capacity, we could have used that time to find another mechanic. Instead, their lack of communication caused us to miss the closing windows of nearby shops as well. Highly unprofessional and well below the standard I expect from Costco.

I had an appointment to change 4 tires. Even though I had an appointment, the wait was around 1-2 hours. They did a decent job, but I'm not sure I can come back due to the time I had to spend on this. The pricing is only marginally cheaper than getting it done elsewhere.
