I had a 1:00 appointment for tire rotation. My car wasn't pulled into the garage until 1:45. The balance and rotation wasn't completed until 2:45. Seems like the process could be streamlined. 1 hour and 45 minutes is too long.

My wife waited for 2 hours, then they promised to take our vehicle back when a bay opened. After waiting another hour, they failed to take the vehicle back to be worked on. They apologized for missing our vehicle, however, that didn't fix the problem. Ultimately, she left with a note to bring back next time to have the tires rotated right away. Hour to get there, an hour to go home, 3 hours while there. Nearly a whole day gone with nothing to show for it. Thoroughly disappointing.

I called Matt yesterday and asked if they had a specific battery in stock and in store, giving him the part number. He assured me they did have it. I showed up an hour later and was told by Matt that they didn’t actually have the batter and I would need to order it online. Were it not an emergency, I would have left without a battery.

Great price on the tires but the service was poor. Not sure if Austin was having a bad day but he had little sympathy as was honesty very rude to the customer in front of me. Might need to check in on him/offer up some training in customer service.

I went to top off my tire pressure using their air compressor, and it actually ended up taking the air completely out of one of my tires. Went into the tire center to see if someone could help me and met James, who was super friendly and helpful. He came out to my car and ended up going around and fixing the air in all of my tires. He even gave me a couple valve stem caps since I was missing a couple. Not impressed with their air compressor, however I am impressed with the customer service that James provided. Thanks again James!

Sunday morning crew was busy but still friendly. Gave me fair warning that without an appt it might take the full day to mount my wifes new tires. They were able to get me in sooner because of some cancelations and I really appreciate it.

Will never buy tires from here again. Had to continually return. Not worth the hassle. Was not satisfied with the tires either, even though they were name brand. Had to replace 2 front within a year, would not honor warranty, because they said it was due to needing a front end alignment. Ended up replacing 4 more at different times within 1-2 years, due to faulty tires, as least covered partially by warranty, but would no longer honor original sale price. The last tire that needed replaced due to being faulty, I had to go for several visits, wait for several hours, they just kept moving it around on the vehicle, claiming there wasn't anything wrong with the tire, tried blaming it on my vehicle. I had my vehicle checked by my mechanic, nothing wrong with vehicle. Took it back to the tire center again. I guess they think a woman doesn't know anything about their vehicle or tires. What really upset me was when they moved the faulty tire to the front. Finally after several visits, several wasted hours, they replaced the tire, but told me they had only rebalanced it, this was per the tire center manager. I was not happy at all, until I noticed on the drive home the problem was no longer present. As soon as I arrived home, I got out the paper I had written the tire number on, checked each tire and all the numbers were different from that faulty tire number, even the back tire, where they claimed the had moved it to and only rebalanced it. Problem had been solved by replacing the faulty tire, finally. But 6 tires within a 2 year period, really, what the heck.

I exclusively buy tires here. Prices are pretty good if you hit the sale, and very good if you get the installation sale. The included lifetime mount/balance/rotation is definitely worth the price for me. Service can be slow, but I typically drop off at a slowish time and it’s done in around 1 hour. Customer service has been pretty good, just wish the appointment system was a little more timely.

We bought our first set of tires here a couple of months ago. We got a good deal and their customer care plan for the tires is unmatched anywhere else. Each time we have gone in without an appointment and they have been able to get us taken care of within a couple of hours, even during very busy times. They do good work and the guys that work there are friendly. We haven't had any problems. No complaints.

Getting my brand new tires on the first time was quick and was in and out in an hour. however one of my brand new tires went flat within 4 days. Was told to bring it in that day for them to take a look. It then took 3 hours to get it fixed. frustrated because it didn't seem to be a priority took them a little over 2 hours to even look at it

Costco has generally been a good place for tires. Their prices (for an equivalent tire) are good compared to other options, like Tire Rack. In addition, the road hazard warranty has actually netted me a free replacement tire when I manged to get a nail in it. My only complaints center around wait times and an admittedly more nuanced issue. Even when I have an appointment, I'm fully expecting to spend over an hour there even when I'm told otherwise. That said, when I got new tires for my wife's car, I was only waiting for 45 minutes, even though I was told it'd be an hour and a half. Recently, I had a bubble in my tire due to a pothole. I took the car to Costco and got the tire replaced, and it was partially covered by the warranty. However, they failed to notice that the wheel itself was also bent. I noticed it while driving on the highway. I haven't followed up with them yet as to how they could possibly overlook the bent wheel. My dealership service department confirmed the wheel damage was pretty obvious. I definitely plan to get more tires here in the future. But, I'll probably limit it to getting new tires or replacing under warranty.

Horrible experience. It took 4 hours to do a replacement but the worse part was after 2hrs they kept telling me that it's almost ready. They also only except Visa credit cards. I believe a lot of talking is going in and no work being done. You can hear them all laughing and talking. I will never spend $1,300 here again.

Good experience: from start (booking) to finish (pick up.) Timely, solid, reasonably priced.

I thought this place was great. I came as a walk-in on a Sunday morning at 10 and was # 2 on the list. I had a piece of metal that got stuck in my tire while I was driving on the highway. They patched my non-Costco tire for $11 and brought me back for a lug nut check, which I’ve not had at other tire shops. The service was prompt and friendly. The only downside: the overall bill was $110, $11 for the patch and $99 for the groceries I bought while waiting 🤣 I have bought Michelins from Costco in the past, and that aspect of the membership pays for itself. My next tires will be Michelins from Costco.

Had a 4:45 appointment today, setup 2 days ago. Arrive about 15 min ahead of time to get checked in. Went to Lowe’s, wandered Costco, finally after 1.75 hours of my car not moving, and knowing that replacing 4 tires would take about an hour. I walked in and asked as nicely as I could, being that I was not happy and asked for a refund. The guy didn’t even question it and half assed apologized. My time is worth more than waiting what was going to be > 2.5 hours to replace 4 tires and spend over $1000. I should have paid more and went to Douglas Tire like I usually do. But I thought I would try and save $100. Not worth the savings. DO NOT recommend CostCo Tire in Independence, MO.

I DO NOT recommend this Costcos tire center. I preordered tires through the website and set an appointment for Sunday. They called me while I was elsewhere waiting, and left a voicemail telling me my 2 different tire pressure sensor needed replacing, and mentioned nothing else. I called them 3-4 times, not receiving any word back. I was aware of the tire pressure sensor issue at the time. I assumed that they would continue like normal since they wouldn't respond and decided to return at my quoted time. After waiting for almost 2 hours, when I return I'm told not only that I have two tire sensors out, but the second stud they removed from my tire broke and they refuse to do any more work. They gave me back my car without any work, and made me repair my car elsewhere. When taken elsewhere, I had all my other wheels checked and had no issues with any other studs. The other shop also told me that there was only one tire sensor out, and that whoever told me 2 was clearly having a bad day. The mechanic also mentioned that it seemed that someone was was probably rough when taking out my stud at Costco. Extremely disappointed with the service, communication and lack of assistance. Won't be returning my business to this Costco tire center again after this transaction and experience.

I brought my Benz in for a simple tire change , PREPAID and they made me wait 2 days to get my tire because it “wasn’t in stock”. Then when I came back to get the service they didn’t have my right size so they said they couldn’t fit it. I PREPAID for my tire so I would think they would know what size I needed.. When I came back for my refund, they tried to charge me just for the tire and not the tax when giving me my money back, basically making me pay for tax on something that wasn’t delivered..Thank God for Jose’, because he made sure everything was right as far as getting my money back... The picture below is what my tire still looks like..
