Sorry , but NOT a reliable repair company , they do not know how to repair much of anything , charged us over $400 for repairs that they thought were needed but not what the truck was brought in for , you may be a family owned company and all the other BS youre throwing out there , but you don't know squat about semi trucks , take my advice , do NOT go to this facility , you will be wasting your time and your hard earned money , I own a family run company that is way better than this bottom of the barrel operation ! ! ! !

I bought a used truck last year and I've had services here 3 times. My first time was to find an oil leak that another shop could not find. They found it fixed it and had me back on the road in one day. As an owner operator being out of service can mean bills dont get paid ...THEY UNDERSTAND THAT no problems at all. I am staying with this shop they have fair prices and dont waste your time holding your vehicle

I've been going to Chuck's since they were on Lawndale about 8 years or so ago and had no complaints. I recently brought my truck there because I trust them with being upfront and honest and I had gone to another place in Bolingbrook (not going to mention their establishment)to get a diagnosis on my issue because Chuck's was busy. These people call me back and said i needed an overhaul which was BS because the engine was just overhauled with under 300k. Called Chuck and he was able to squeeze me in and asked me a couple of key questions about the diagnosis process they done. He checked it over and said " you don't need and overhaul, I'm thinking oil pump." Turns out,that was the issue and i didn't spend 30k on an unnecessary overhaul which wouldn't have fixed the problem because overhauls don't include oil pumps. I am going to try and make a long story short... My fuel was mixing with my oil, one shop suggested replacing fuel pump so i replaced and same problem, then suggested replacing fuel injectors and injector cups replaced that as well and same problem, spent 4K found about about CT Repair and took the truck there for repair. They were very professional and found the source of my problem. They do not replace parts to find the problem, they find the actual problem which was a cracked cylinder head. Jeff and the mechanics are very pleasant and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend their shop. Thanks Jeff!!

I started using CTR when they first came to Shorewood. As a driver you are always looking for that honest mechanic with good prices. Chucks is that shop. They don’t try to throw parts at your semi, they take their time to diagnose it right the first time and get you going at a fair price. If your in the area for a day and need a good mechanic or you live in the area and need a good shop to go to all the time I’m telling you, you can’t go wrong with Chucks Truck repair.

I own a small fleet of trucks. I stopped in at Chucks for an emergency fix and he was able to get me in and out extremely quick with very reasonable pricing. Ever since then, I bring all of my trucks there due to their impeccable pricing on parts, lowest labor charges you can find, and extremely polite and professional employees! Brought my truck to CT because they are the only one in the area that does MD Alignments (the only way to properly align a heavy truck). I had a vibration issue and a pulling to the right issue. Jeff and one of his mechanics, Luke, discussed causes and solutions. They were able to take care of everything. Next time I need any kind of work done I'll be going back to CT. Those guys were great.
