Holy Cow!! I hardly know where to start....this was literally the best experience I have had anywhere / any service EVER! I cannot recommend Custom Auto Touch-Up enough!! When I picked up my car I couldn't believe it! It looks PERFECT and I couldn't have asked for anything better. Al is the Michelangelo of Auto Repair and Mollie is his Leonardo de Vinci Al and Mollie were *AMAZING* and helped me through every step of the way. Including working with my insurance company and Toyota directly. For example, my insurance company wouldn't send an in-person adjuster, and would only estimate using pictures we uploaded to the app. Al worked directly with them to adjust and update the estimate - which took multiple tries. Mollie also texted me updates with pictures throughout the whole process - which was so nice and comforting. They never made me feel bad or embarrassed for causing the damage that I did. My car was essentially brand new when we dinged it so badly it was rendered undrivable. I was so upset and didn't even know where to start. Al and Mollie were truly SO kind and professional. If you don't go here then you are nuts!

I am so happy that I have found this family owned business! It was recommended to me from my mechanic and I have been going there ever since. They have done repairs on 3 of my vehicles. The quality of the work far surpasses any of the large shops. You will always get the proper part for your vehicle unlike other body shops who like to cut their cost and work with the insurance agencies to get you aftermarket parts. Once I found out that I 'have the right' to pick and choose my own body shop, I will always go here. I have referred this body shop to several of my friends including my family members and will continue to do so! If you want Honesty, Quality and Timely repair I definitely recommend Al at Custom Auto Touch Up in West Ashley, Charleston.

Amazing job! I'm beyond satisfied! I Googled them for a outside door handle replace/repair and called them. They promptly received my call and welcomingly invited me to come by and see if they could help. Graciously, Al and MJ were able to fit me in during their lunch hours and was able to complete the repair. Their pricing is very fair and their work & customer service definitely exceeds it! I will be referring them and will be back when needed!

As others have said, I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Al was a pleasure to work with and also handled coordination with the insurance company regarding the repairs, which took a weight off for us. Our vehicle looks better than it did before our accident! It's a small shop, but we were comforted in knowing nothing was overlooked, expert care and detail went into repairing our vehicle and the work Al did has a lifetime warranty.

We've had Al and his team repair the back of our Mazda Tribute on two occasions after rear-endings and each time we have been delighted! The shop looks very unassuming but they run a top-notch operation there. Our SUV was perfectly repaired each time and sparkling clean inside and out when we came to pick it up. On the last occasion, Al personally dealt with the insurance company of the person who rear-ended us so that we didn't even have that hassle. And when my husband was out of town when the car was done this last time, Al sent his most trusted staff member to come pick me up at the rental car place... and he wouldn't even take a tip to thank them. We would definitely send any of our friends there and won't go anywhere else ourselves.

Deserves more than 5 stars! Did a flawless repair job on my BMW 428i - I can't imagine any body shop doing a more professional job, at any price. And that's the thing - the price was extremely reasonable for such top-notch quality (don't be afraid to bring your exotica here). And the service! Honestly, I don't think I've received such attentive, conscientious, considerate and friendly service - and follow up - from any auto-related business in my life. Outstanding and exceptional in every way.

Al's Custom Auto Refinishing is the fastest to respond and with a fair price for any auto refinishing needs. Al and his awesome co-pilot took one of our Hamby Catering vehicles, set a fair price, and began work immediately, Vehicle came back at the time that was quoted, and they even took a scuff out of the the other side of vehicle. Al knows what he's talking about when he quotes you a price, and wont try to bull-dog you into paying for something you don't need. If you own/operate a business that has a fleet of 3 vehicles +, I'd highly recommend putting Al's number in your phone. I have all intentions of rotating my entire fleet of 8 vehicles through his shop over the next year.

Wow is all I can say!! I’ll let the pictures do justice to the high quality work that Al and Molly were able to do to my tailgate. I unfortunately backed into a tree that caused a medium sized dent right in the crease of my tailgate. It was a very tricky spot to work on and other shops in the area wanted to charge a fortune to take it out, almost the price of just getting a new tailgate !!! Al and Molly did a stellar job at a very reasonable price and communicated with me through the whole repair. Can’t say enough good things about them. I contemplated even writing this review since I know Al is already buried in a bunch of work but he is well worth the wait !! Y’all go check him out!

Quietly the best body shop in Charleston and it's a one man show. I only found Al's shop due to the lack of responsiveness of literally every other shop in Charleston so I dug a little bit deeper on the google search results and found Custom Auto. I called, he answered.. I didn't have to hold for anyone because Al controls every detail of the business. I can recall one time Al did not answer his phone when I needed to speak to him and he called back promptly, he was busy working on my car by the way. Al ensured that the insurance company paid for all the correct parts and he never settled by allowing them to put aftermarket junk on my car. He made sure they ponied up for factory parts and did all the dirty work for me. The work is flawless. I used to buy/sell used cars and would always look for orange peel on the paint to detect prior work... if I didn't know my own car I would think the factory fender had been prior painted because of how good his paint work was on my damaged one. My car also has a complex lighting package with 6 bulbs in each headlamp. He made sure everything was working exactly as from factory and even informed me that a bulb was dead in the other non damaged lamp and fixed it for me. Final note, he is a legitimately salt of the earth nice guy.

If you are looking for the highest quality paint repair possible, this is your place. Al is a master craftsman with decades of experience in auto painting. My car was almost brand new and I got some deep scratches on the door. What I got after Al had done his work is an astoundingly perfect repair with perfect color match on a metallic blue paint. You cannot tell my car's paint was ever damaged. It even passed my wife's highly discerning eye. I would also add, they are very good with communication. Every time I called I left a message and got a response within 15 minutes. Overall it was a great experience I would not hesitate to go back for any future auto body repairs.

Al’s the best, a 1 man show! After damaging a headlamp assembly, I dropped by their shop, Al accessed the damage, immediately ordered the replacement parts, I dropped off my Tacoma 3 days later and Al knocked it out in approx 3 hours. Looks great, zero issues, highly recomnend!
