Funny how people get in here running mouths but not telling truth. Like Scotty Barker. He neglects to mention I painted his bike during Covid mess and my supplier couldn’t get the normal supplies and did t tell me they switched some items on me and I found out through a third party that he had a issue with paint fading and I contacted him and told him to bring the parts back and I would repaint it for free. He also didn’t mention that I let him switch literally everything about the job including the color and art and he switched to a job worth triple the original job. He also didn’t mention that he had best the bike up so bad that I spent weeks doing body work on the job I was doing for free as well. Or Chad Birman. He doesn’t mention that his job was done and sat here for weeks. He said he peek in window and saw his parts sitting there. How is this possible when my shop area has no windows. There are windows in the showroom and yes there was a hood there. Wasn’t his hood because Chevy made more than one truck hood. He mentioned fish eyes in paint. There were small ones because the hood had t been buffed because it was waiting for his approval and then would have been final cleared and buffed but he showed up and caused a scene took it and left. He also didn’t mention he gave some sad story about being someone being sick and the hood was to hang on a wall and I did a $2000 job for less than $200. People think what I do is supposed to be like on tv where things happen in a day or two. Well it dies t work thst way. I give tine frame estimates on how long the job will take and I am accurate but they don’t mention that I tell them it will be a while till work states because there are previous commitments at the shop and everyone thinks their stuff should go in front of previous customers I do good work at fair prices and people don’t alway tell the whole story. In the last year I have actually redone several jobs sent here that were done on those tv shows because they were poorly done. I take pride in my work and treat everyone’s jobs like I would want them to treat mine. Sometimes I get into a job especially stuff others have worked on and I spent weeks undoing someone else’s work just to be able to do my own and give them a quality job. Even if I lose money on the time spent

This review is about a job that happened about two years ago. Kevin was employed to paint a guardians of the galaxy themed bike and given approximately $4,500.00 up front. When we took the parts to him and discussed the theme and layout, he honestly seemed a little overwhelmed by the request but assured us he was capable of completing it. He was given several opportunities at the beginning of the job and throughout to advise if he was not up to the task with no hard feelings. He did not utilize them. The job was estimated to take two and a half to three months maximum. After three months with no word from him, we began calling, texting, and even messaging through Facebook for updates. About five months in we finally received pictures of his work that were incomplete and not what was discussed, and were told that he was unhappy with how things had come out and was reworking everything, and that was the reason it took so long for him to respond. He was again given an out, but did not take it. He proceeded to have poor contact and make many excuses, and thus had the parts to our bike for over 2.5 years before we finally had an opportunity with a break in our work and personal lives to drive up and retrieve the parts ourselves. We had asked multiple times for the project to be cancelled and the parts returned, and Kevin had eventually just ghosted us after again making excuses as to why the parts couldn’t be returned. During this entire time, he proceeded to push out and complete other projects, as he posted about them on Facebook. He eventually blocked us from his company Facebook because we kept asking about our project and getting our parts back on every new post. To get our parts back, we had to drive from Oklahoma to Indiana and surprise him by showing up out of the blue one day, with advisement that the local sheriff’s office had agreed to come onsite so we could safely and reasonably retrieve our parts if he refused. Many of the pieces were damaged from being overly sanded/sand blasted, and the parts that were painted were REALLY bad. Star lord was Mexican, Rocket looked like a fox, and Groot looked like he had been drawn/painted by an amateur child. We wanted the parts back to piece together our motorcycle to make sure it still ran given it had been sitting for so long due to his delays. Kevin advised us he would “finish the job” if we decided to bring the parts back, but really who would do that at this point? We did ask for our money back, but never saw it. We followed up with a local attorney because of the amount, but were advised it would cost us more to try and get the money back because local courts would require us to appear in person at least twice. Many of the projects we saw of his were good, but unless you are local and can continually follow up with Kevin, we don’t suggest using him. Also, we don’t suggest agreeing to anything other than the cost of supplies up front, in case the job ends up scrapped like ours and many others we have found out were. Hope this review helps!

At one time Kevin may have been the man at custom air brushing and art work that however was not the experience I had. I was told my project would be done in 2 weeks. I stopped by multiple times to find him not there and when I looked in the window the piece he was supposed to be painting was still sitting in the front lobby area I was give every excuse under the sun as to why it wasn’t done. Then it would take him days to get back with me. Finally I showed up to his place and just camped out till he finally showed up he promised me it would be done that weekend which it was however when I picked it up it looked like it was done as a middle school art project. There were runs in the paint or clear coat, fish eyes all through it the artwork was not centered and it really looks horrible. When I contacted him to express my displeasure he has since stopped returning calls or texts. I would highly suggest saving yourself time, aggravation, and money and go somewhere else to get your work done. Kevin Hess is a liar and a thief he promises you what you want to hear but absolutely does not deliver

Kevin is an incredible artist, that makes sure the job is done right at a reasonable price. His work speaks for itself. I had him paint my Harley several years ago and most recent had him paint my truck. I will definitely recommend him to anyone wanting custom paint.

Kevin painted this bike for me over a year ago and it still shines. The work speaks for itself. He sometimes does not estimate the time a job will take correctly, but the results are worth the wait. The attached picture with the parts in my trunk show the dents and the general poor condition of the tank that he was able to repair back to like new.
