Best mechanic in the world! Most honest and kind man named JR owns it. I am 37 and when I was 16 he helped me get and fix my first car, even told me what to say to the car dealerships to get them to lower the sell price by 1000 dollars, I have refered everyone ever looking to his shop, and have only gone to him with all my cars I have owned. I am 37 now, so he has helped me with every car problem vi have ever had for 21 years, I will never go anywhere else, I dread the day he retires, however he has help and one of them has been there 18 years I found out last Friday, so hopefully it stays the same even after, and hope that is many years away. Lol

I got an appointment for my 2500 Dodge Ram 2012. It was having some noise in the front end and steering issues. J.R was so kind, he showed me the underbelly of the front end and what looked good what he thought the problem was. When they found the problem he came out and showed me and told me what they needed to do! They even got me into Ziegler’s to get an alignment same day! They got a new customer today! I can not recommend them enough!

I took my daughter's car to Cody because it was running very rough. Cody took more time with me to help determine the problem over the phone than with any auto repair shop I've ever worked with. Cody performed the work on the car with professionalism, and was exactly on time with the estimate on how long the car would take. He not only repaired the problem, but helped to educate me on the reason for the issue, which most shops don't seem interested or take the time to do. Cody worked with us on tackling the issues we could afford and provided a well-thought through game plan moving forward if we had any other issues. Honest shop owners with this kind of work ethic are hard to find! Thank you to Cody and his team!

I took my car over to the dealership I bought my car from last week for a standard oil change and tire rotation. The dealership had even given me an inspection report stating they looked at each brake system on each tire. Immediately after leaving, I heard a sort of ticking sound while driving and figured it had something to do with the tires. I let it be for two days to see if it would work it self out, but by Friday it was still making the sound. I called the dealership and they scheduled me for the following Wednesday so they could take a look at it. It took them 2 hours to say it was a caliper seated incorrectly and advised me to call the service shop that replaced my brakes because that’s who would’ve made the mistake. They assured me it was safe to drive on though. I called over to Spalding and left a message stating what was going on. Mind you, my brakes were replaced by JR and his staff back on January 29, 2024 and this was the first I was hearing the concerning noise right after the dealership rotated the tires (August 28, 2024). I knew it wasn’t from when my brakes were done, but a second opinion wouldn’t hurt. Cody (new owner at Spalding) called me back and was more than happy to get me in immediately. I was able to bring it over and he diagnosed the issue very quickly. The caliper wasn’t attached properly to the wheel because there was a bolt missing! If the dealership truly had looked at the brake systems of each wheel, it would’ve been easy for someone familiar with cars to see and diagnose the issue. I’ll attach two photos. The whole brake system was dragging along the inner wheel which was making the noise I was hearing. He said it was definitely not safe to drive on. He fixed it and I had my car back an hour later. I’m so grateful for him and the staff there at Spalding because I have three young children I cart around in my vehicle that could’ve been seriously hurt if the brakes would’ve failed due to the negligence of the staff at the dealership. Cody didn’t charge me a dime, even though it was nothing he or his staff were responsible for! Amazing customer service! 10/10 will recommend him every time to anyone asking for car help. Extraordinarily trustworthy and great people.

These guys are the best in town. Prices are fair and competitive and the work is top notch. Was having A/C issues and they were honest and clear on all work that would be done, and also beat dealership prices by a mile. I won’t trust my vehicles to anyone else in Evansville.
