Customer service was absolutely abysmal. Didn’t help us understand what we were supposed to do to rent a truck would give us little cookies crumbles of information then tell us we can’t get the truck until we’re done even though we were done. Deleted our reservation after we made it. We walk in to rent a uhual are immediately shut down and told there isn’t enough time to deal with us, told we need to make a reservation and that we need to do it all online once we make a reservation we are told we’re not able to get a truck because we’re gonna harbor immigrants and sell drugs! What the hell is even going on anymore felt like a movie scene in there. what a clown show hope there car service is better than there customer service for y’all’s sake.

We first took our 2012 prius to them because we were experiencing really bad shaking and the check engine light was on after taking it to them they said it was the cylinder one coil needed replacing and all four spark plugs which they did and some oil was spilled all over so they replaced that and cleaned up the oil and told us to also try putting fuel injector cleaner in the vehicle due to the fuel injector system being possibly dirty so we did all that ran the car. Car is still shaking occasionally everyday took it back still insisted it was dirty fuel injectors so kept driving it after a week of running that through still shaking took it back and I told him it may be a faulty egr valve told him the symptoms of that he proceeds to say no it has to be dirty fuel injectors and as he is smiling nice and big also tells me their is no egr valve which I know their is one. I felt mocked and like I was stupid. Come to find out took it to a different mechanic they ran the proper test for the head gasket which the mechanic at d and h auto in brighton told me nothing was wrong with the head gasket and come to find out we have been driving around with a bad head gasket. Basically did not have a good experience they don't listen to their customers and dont properly do the proper tests to actually diagnose what is really going on with your vehicle. I even tried calling and talking to the mechanic twice to ask about the head gasket test and never received a call back. I kept being told the mechanic was busy or on lunch or doing something else. They knew they messed up and refused to call back and remedy the problem. Their lucky our head gasket did not blow while driving it. So basically I would advise do not take your vehicle here.

I called D&H to get a quote for 5 separate repairs I needed done on my vehicle, ranging from pads/rotors replacement to wheel bearing replacement, and a few other miscellaneous issues. All in all, the repairs I needed would easily be $1,000+. Whoever I talked to said he could get me a quote later that day. After not hearing back for a few hours, I called back towards the end of the day and explained that my car was in a shop and I was hoping to make the decision that day. He was polite and he said he's still working on it and would do his best to get back to me before the end of the day. That was 2 days ago. Guess they don't want the money that bad, not sure how you run a business with that customer service.

SOOOOOOOO many issues with my car!! Gave me a break down of all issues on a list and expressed to me that if my temperature and abs light were on it was due to faulty sensors and should not cause issues…spark plugs are failing after being replaced, no reading on my O2 sensor, check engine light is back on. My car was at this shop for a month with issue after issue after issue after issue. I understand these guys are extremely friendly people but I have a deep mistrust in them after so many issues were found after taking it to the actual dealership. Was absolutely ROBBED worth of $2k at least.

Phil and guys do a great job. We've been going there for about 20 years for auto repair and uhaul rentals too. We had an issue finding the correct part for my daughters car (not d & h fault), after finding the correct one they finish up the job in less than an hour and she was back on the road. Nice guys and they do a very good job communicating what's going on with your vehicle.

D&H got my Jeep into for service quickly. The same day as I dropped off my vehicle, I received a call to let me know that I needed four spark plugs and four coils and my estimate was for $600.00. Two days later my Jeep was ready to be picked up. My new total was $680.00. I got home and the check engine light was still on, I called to inquire why the total was $80.00 more than the estimate. There replied it was an estimate and bring your vehicle back in and we’ll check it out for free. Well the parts only cost $200.00 for high end parts and to replace plugs and coils should only take an hour. There hourly rate must be $400 an hour. I won’t be giving D&H any of my business ever

The customer service here is horrible and the owner Phil is not friendly or good at talking to humans. I had rented trailers/vans in the past with just my id and no interactions at the front counter. This time I rented a trailer and I left thinking I was okay the owner Phil after ten minutes called the police on me the person who rented a trailer in the U-Haul app. If I stole the trailer why would I answer my phone or return the trailer after being told he called the police on me. I will never do business here again and every one I know in the Livingston county area will know this business is not good at customer service.

Don't rent a U-Haul from these guys. The vehicle we rented was barely fit for a local move, let alone a long-distance one. If you like flirting with death, go right ahead. Otherwise, you've been warned. Other than that, they seemed like nice people. Oh well.

My mechanic retired. Searching for a new mechanic is always stressful. Its hard to trust due to a lot of company's doing bad business and poor quality work. I found D&H and gave them a try. They got me in quickly and made the repair, Another problem arose and they fixed that for me as well. Great work from honest knowledgeable mechanics that really care. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Got my vehicle towed here because it was the closest place. Left it for 24 hours to be evaluated and was told that they couldn’t find anything wrong with it other than the “transmission makes noise”. They also told me they had it going 50-60 mph no problem that day. Lo and behold the car couldn’t even make it down the road. Tried to charge me $150 for no information- ended up bringing it down to $77 but still a complete rip off because there’s no chance they actually drove that car.

I was referred by a good friend to come here. Phil the owner is a great man and shows compassion and kindness something we all need. So after a stressful event with the warranty dept ( CNA) Chris one of the mechanics made it a point to get ahold of them after being hung up and not being able to get ahold of many times he insisted to speak to some one. Absolutely beyond thrilled with my first experience at this shop and will be bringing my car back for future visits. I originally went to another shop in Brighton and they told me that I needed a new tie rod and wheel bearings and they estimated it would be about 5.5k all together. Luckily, I came to D&H auto after being recommended by family and was just blown away. New wheel bearing, new tie rod, all new brake assembly (and help replacing a tail light that was too stuck for me) for a whopping 1.8k. That is a HUGE difference. Mind you the other shop had my 2014 Edge for 3 days and did no work just some diagnostic work so I was fully prepared for D&H to hold onto my car until after the holidays but they literally had it all done the next day. And the older gentleman who was working was nice enough to give us a full rundown of the process despite picking my car up literally minutes before they were closing. I really can't say enough good things about this shop

I took my truck in for a crank no start issue. After they "fixed" my truck for $1,100. It still would not start with in a few days of paying them. I told them from the beginning to look at the fuel injectors. They did not. When I brought my truck back to D&H to tell them they didn't fix it...they wanted more money. So I took my truck to another mechanic and had the fuel injectors replaced. Now my truck runs great.
