Terrible!! Tried to have warranty work done on my car. Waited over 90 minutes only to find out part had to be ordered. Never called me to let me know the part were back ordered for a month. Never heard from them again. Taking my car somewhere else!!

The employees at D&J not only never answer the phone, they do not return calls if you leave messages asking them to call you back! I don't like that at all! They're basically saying that they don't want your business, otherwise they would call you back! Especially if you're calling 2-3 times and you're leaving your name and phone number. It's disappointing too because someone I know recommended this place, which is the main reason why I called D&J. But maybe this person I know hasn't been at this auto shop in a very long time, and is unaware of new problems!

Great shop, the last 2 months they always take care of my customers and make sure they're in good shape. We haven't had any issues and customers have always loved their work. We hope to continue to do business with D&J and their amazing team.

My first time at this shop was 9/27/23. I really enjoyed my experience with Marlene, Michelle, Christy and Jose. Marlene is the owner and the service side is run by her sister Christy which is really cool to see in the auto world in general. <3 #1 They will not upsell you or upsell you & they really put quality time into the repair, plus with Marlene at the helm, you will have clarity without any shame or abuse per the customers level of car knowledge. Carmax is partnered with this location, which is how I ended up at their shop, getting hands on understanding, relief and honesty that would make me come back on my own dime :) The prices were fair any way and I heard their efforts to keep things affordable (& reliable) for every customer. Thank you all for your credible work. It is so important to partner with people you trust. I will certainly be back, but hopefully, not too soon!

D&J use to have a stellar costumer service and quality of work. I guess this changed with new management? I tried bringing my car Saturday morning since it says online they’re open. It was closed. I brought it Tuesday morning to fix my A/C and take a look at the suspension. They admitted that they’re busy but will let me know if they can work on it. I give them a call in the afternoon for an update, but no answer. No courtesy call back to let me know that they’re keeping it overnight. I call back next morning and they say it’s next in line to be serviced. I call 3 times throughout the day for any update and it goes to voicemail every time. I ask my friend to go into the shop to get an update as I’m at work. They let him know that they’ve been really busy and haven’t even looked at it. I tell him to ask for my car back and they give him the keys without question. Pretty bad experience for a shop that use to be good, but with other recent reviews, it looks like I’m not the only complaint.

Check them out! They offer an incredible service at an affordable price. I was unfortunately a victim of a crime and my car was out of commission. I explained the situation and they were able to help by not only fixing my vehicle in a timely manner but by installing a deterrent for future thieves as well.

DO NOT get your battery replaced here, I'm stuck with a battery that was replaced on April 2023 by D&J that went bad in June 2024. The Giant "30 MONTHS FREE REPLACEMENT" label is laughable. Car was starting to give random errors and it turned out the ACDelco 35PS battery D&J Auto Repair provided a year ago was giving low voltage. Been emailing these guys and I got no response. I called and got Christi on the phone which was unprofessional. First time, she said she would email the receipt, she did not. She also talked about hawaiian cookies that makes her fat? to another worker. Another week later, I called and Christi simply refused to provide a receipt so I can get my battery covered under warranty replacement. Christi gave me a talk about how the government tracks the battery. Christi, I just need the receipt to replace my battery with ACDelco/GM. I'm not running some crime here. Off to Autozone or Costco where I should've gone from the beginning.

Since ownership changed hands, their ability to provide even a basic level of customer service has disappeared. They have no idea how to manage their workload, and this results in not calling customers back as promised, or holding on to vehicles for up to a week without even looking at them, then returning the vehicle to the customer without any work being done saying that they were too busy. Parts do not get ordered in a timely manner. When they do give you an ETA, the real time ends up being much longer. Their hours don’t seem to be fixed as the front office people come and go at will. This wouldn’t even be so bad if they at least checked their voice mail or email, but they don’t. They also attempted to charge me double the quoted price—not because they’re dishonest, but because the people at the front desk have no clue what they’re doing. I experienced all of the above the last three times I brought in my vehicle and I will not be returning. What’s happened to D&J is a real tragedy because they used to be the absolute best in the Bay Area. Update since first posting this review: it is now going on two weeks for this latest round of repairs. Since no one at D&J ever called me with an update, answered the phone when I called, nor ever returned any of my voice mails, I finally had to drive down there. I found out from the mechanic that the front desk didn’t even order the needed parts until my vehicle had been sitting there for a week (these are readily available parts—a same day fulfillment for any repair shop). I was then told by the front desk that I was going to have to wait another two days for them to replace a starter and a front axel. They had no explanation as to why it was going to take so long (a lot of muttering about how busy they are). I can only conclude that their biggest problem right now is that they simply don’t care able their customers’ time or inconvenience. If you rely on your vehicle, do not bring it to D&J.

The team at D&J auto repair made my experience seamless and easy. They quickly diagnosed the problem with my car that multiple other repair shops were not able to. They provided all the necessary paperwork and worked directly with my insurance company. It’s rare to receive such an impressive level of customer service in any industry. Thank you!!!

Highly recommend! Had a great experience working with the D&J team. I was having issues with my Jeep's AWD and they did a great job diagnosing the the problem. D&J clearly communicated the issue and their plan to fix it. Because the diagnosis was thorough, they found some other problems and let me know the impact/severity so that I could make an informed decision. They did excellent work and my Jeep has been running great.

I brought my car to D&J after another shop quoted me $3500 minimum to replace and repair my bumper, grill, and radiator. I told the first shop that I didn't care if it looked good, I just wanted the car to be mechanically sound, and asked if it was really necessary to replace all those parts. They confirmed that I did. When I went to D&J, they told me that they couch reattach my grill and bumper in about half an hour and at a much more affordable rate. When I asked about the radiator, they said that the pipe was bent but not likely to break, so I would not have to replace it if I did not want to. I ended up getting the repair they suggested and saved myself several days without my car and literally thousands of dollars. The fix isn't the prettiest, but exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much!

I don't usually write reviews but as a local to the area i really recommend this place! Michelle and Christy were super accommodating to my situation, and it's such a great feeling knowing that my car will be back fixed and on the road again as soon as tomorrow 🥹🫶🏼 Thank you so much to everyone at D&J who worked on my PT cruiser in such an efficient and timely matter. It's greatly appreciated and didn't go unnoticed 🫡❤️

Extremely frustrated with the lack of follow up and communication. I call and I cant leave a voicemail because the mailbox if full. At every step of the process I had to drive it. From getting approval to order the parts, to making sure the parts were ordered, to checking on the status of my car. I had to intiate the communication to make sure it was moving forward. Most recently I scheduled to pick up my car after hours and it was not there. Its been over 2 months and they still havent fixed the problem. Extremely frustrated. I definately would not recommend using this repair shop.

Absolutely the most unprofessional and incompetent auto repair shop! Avoid at all costs unless you want to get ripped and have your car held hostage for weeks on end. I took my car in for an oil change and because an airbag warning light came on. The oil change was done in a day and they said they would hook up their diagnostic tool to see the cause of the warning light but it was likely a sensor. I didn’t hear back that day or the next and when I called they don’t answer and their voicemail box is full. I finally got down and they say they’re still diagnosing and need more time. I get this excuse for several more days. Promises of an update tomorrow and several more days go by and nothing. Finally get a hold of someone and they tell me it’s a clock spring. They say they can order the part that day and have it done the next day so I agree. Once again no callbacks, no answer and voicemail full the next day and for several more days. I go down in person again and they give me the same update for a few days before and when I say I told you yes move forward. They say I had to pay for the part before they could order it. You could have told me that several days ago when I agree! And to make matters worst, now try to add several hundred dollars. After some back and forth, they agree to honor the original price they quoted me. Despite my better judgement, I agree again with their guarantee it will be done the next day. Unfortunately, I should have listened to my gut. No call, no answer and voicemail full every time I call. Come down for the 3rd time, I get the run around and more excuses. Here I am now and it’s still not complete. They have reassembled my car and now I have to start over somewhere else. Hopefully I can find an honest mechanic who can do the work correctly and timely. Do not recommend! There are way too many auto repair shops in this area to deal with such poor service.

They charged me $1600 for a tuneup a total rip off never go back there again all I did is change the plugs the coils and the wires the air filter and changed the oil and they charge me $1600 at first. They’re trying to charge me $5000 for heads. They said it was a head job need to be done and then I said somebody else I brought it previously said it was the coils so then they went down to just a tuneup so Yeah they called me out of all that money don’t go to the shop I called the bureau of Auto Repair. I suggest you all do that as well filing a case and it’s under review see maybe I can get some money back or maybe I’ll call the Better Business Bureau as well. It’s an outrage.

I am very bothered with this car repair shop D&J. Triple A driver towed my car here for a reason or for a mistake? Triple A driver Tony’s job is to transport the car to the right location named THE SHOP. But instead, he dropped off my car in this D&J place. How I know?, I had an air tag in my car. He had the correct address from Triple A system and platform. He even lied to me that I said to him to bring my car to D&J. I never knew this car shop, never been and no history of car repairs for all my cars. Early morning, a woman from that D&J shop left me message about my car being dropped off. Meaning, how did she know my cellphone number? I never called for any car service from them. I don’t even know they exist! I drove to this location where my car is. She opened my car, the hood was up and started to diagnoses what was wrong. I told her you have no authority to open my car and I never called for repairs. My car is supposed to go to another car shop address nearby, same street. I had to initiate and be there in action to make sure my car is being transported to the correct location. I have spoken to Triple A supervisors and had filed a complaint against that particular driver. Is it just a dumb driver? or who don’te seeq double check his work order location. DO NOT TRUST this car repair shop. Read other people’s recent reviews.

I took my car to get an oil change to D & J. Everything seemed fine, however when I received my car back, I found an open condom wrapper that did not belong to me in my backseat. Whether or not something actually took place inside my car, I have no idea, but I am appalled that something like this even happened in the first place. I will not be going back to this place.

I brought my car into D&J Auto Repair today for a battery issue that had been bothering me since I replaced it back in July. Christy one of the owners went above and beyond. She demonstrated incredible technical and engineering knowledge, taking the time to walk me through what was happening and why it was happening. Not only did she educate me in a way that was easy to understand, but she also fully resolved the problem on the spot. Her patience, professionalism, and exceptional customer service made the entire experience remarkable. It’s rare to find a shop that combines expertise, honesty, and genuine care for their customers, but D&J Auto Repair does exactly that. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and skilled automotive service. Thank you again, Christy, for turning a stressful situation into a great experience!

I brought my car in after the front bumper caught on a steel hazard while I was reversing. The team at D&J was fantastic—they ziptied the loose plastic shielding and thoroughly checked for any fluid leaks. They didn't charge me a penny for the help. Truly honest service!
