I rarely write reviews but felt it necessary this time. Been taking my vehicles to Dave for a couple years now and find him to be honest, reasonably priced and knowledgeable. Recently Dave put new tires on my truck. During the process the machine scratched a portion of the rims. When brought to Dave's attention I wasn't sure what response I'd get. Contrary to other mechanics I've dealt with, he immediately took responsibility and ordered replacement parts for the rims at his cost. Obviously he wasn't happy about losing the money but smart and honest enough to not lose a customer as well. Might have cost him a few hundred but bought him a lifelong customer who will spread the word to others. Predicting Dave will need a bigger shop and more employees as his customer base will continue to expand. Thanks for the honesty and responsibility Dave it's becoming a rare quality!

I looked like a kid coming in and was in a vulnerable spot being stuck with my car unable to get me home back up the interstate. Prime to be taken advantage of. Was nervous all weekend about going to some new garage and being able to even get in my car in a reasonable time due to circumstances. What I received from Dave was honesty and straightforwardness I was not getting elsewhere, not only did he fix my car so I could get home there are more codes cleared. I never felt like I got a bunch of extras done or stuff sold I didn’t actually need. A rare real one.

Highly recommend Dave McCauley auto repair. Honest and excellent service! I used to work on my own cars and took our Lincoln navigator in for brake work years ago, and Dave said the front calipers needed replaced. When I came to pick it up Dave told me he didn't have to replace them the wear adjuster slides just needed lubed. I knew from that day forward he does all my auto repairs! Very honest.

I am so lucky that my regular auto shop I go to couldn’t get me in. (They’ve been shady anyway and been wanting to switch) coming from a small town and being used to auto shops that are honest and friends of the family, to the city where you feel nobody is honest and just tip you off, has been hard. I feel like I’ve finally found the place I can trust to bring my car into. My husband also will be switching his business here as well. Dave was amazing and got me in right away to do a diagnostic and I am so grateful. Best customer service I’ve received in this city from all the auto shops I have tried.

Highly, highly recommended. Our brakes suddenly failed while we were traveling out-of-state. I contacted Dave McCauley and he repaired our vehicle the very same day at a very fair and reasonable price. (One of the rear brake calipers had actually fallen off!). Dave diagnosed and explained exactly what had happened to our car and was precise in estimating the costs of repair. He was very fair with the price knowing that this was an emergency repair and that we were from out-of-state. Dave is a man of integrity.

Recently took my sons 2014 Nissan Frontier to Dave for inspection and service. Communication throughout our transaction was excellent as was his work and the price was fair. We had recently purchased the vehicle from Wrights Nissan in Wexford and took it in for annual inspection. We were disappointed by the amount of work needed so soon after purchase and shocked by the price the quoted for repairs. Dave had the vehicle in on Tuesday returned on Friday morning, all repairs complete, truck is running great for 1/3 OF WRIGHTS QUOTE. Recommend Dave McCauley highly and he will be our mechanic for all three of our vehicles going forward.

This shop is awesome. I have brought my car here multiple times and they've REALLY helped me out in some binds. My car had some 'unique' problems that other shops couldn't figure out and the guys down there at McCauley took a lot of time and research to figure out what was going on. Pretty amazing. Not too many mechanic shops like this anymore. They’re honest and do quality work. They’ve fixed things on my vehicles when other mechanics couldn’t even figure out what was wrong. I don’t go elsewhere regardless if it’s an oil change or inspection or something more major. The prices are fair and are always commensurate with the customer service and work product.

Took my wife's car to Dave Mccauley automotive for inspection and oil change. Its the absolute BEST place in Pittsburgh to take your vehicle. There's nobody I trust more than Dave. He only hires the best mechanics and he has fair prices and if he thinks your vehicle isn't worth fixing, he'll be honest and tell you because he's not just concerned with repeat business. He truly cares about his customers and making sure your vehicle is fixed right and making sure that its not going to cost you a fortune in future repairs.
