During my recent visit to Pittsburgh, my car developed brake issues: pressing the brake pedal provided no resistance, and the red brake light was on. I contacted several local repair shops, but they were all busy and couldn’t provide expedited service. I urgently needed to get my car fixed quickly to drive back to Canada for work. Luckily, I called Baum Blvd Automotive early Monday morning. After hearing my situation, the gentleman on the phone said their schedule was fully booked for Monday but suggested I bring the car in, and they would do their best to check it that same day. When I arrived at the shop, Ryan at the front desk patiently listened to my dilemma and actively sought a solution. He squeezed my car into their very busy schedule and arranged for Ray, one of their best technicians, to diagnose the problem. An hour later, Ray and Ryan returned with the diagnosis and recommended solution. I accepted their repair recommendation, and Ryan ordered the required parts from their most reliable supplier to ensure they would be delivered by 9 am the next day so Ray could work on the fix as soon as possible. The next morning, Ryan texted me that all parts had arrived, and the work was on track to be completed by 1:00 PM. When I got to the shop, Ryan updated me that it would take a little more time because of some extra work. Finally, Ray completed the repair and took the car for a test drive. I saw Ray all sweaty from working hard and long to get my car ready so I could start my trip back home earlier. Ryan also took a second test drive before handing over the keys to me. I feel extremely lucky that I found and contacted Baum Blvd Automotive. This is a shop that truly does the best for their customers! Many thanks to Ryan and Ray! I’m extremely satisfied with their exceptional service. Their understanding, responsiveness, and willingness to accommodate my urgent need truly set them apart. Thanks to their amazing work and help, I was able to get my car repaired promptly. I highly recommend Baum Blvd Automotive for their professionalism and outstanding service. Ryan and Ray are the best!

****PLEASE READ***PLEASE READ***PLEASE READ***** I am writing this review with kinda a heavy heart as I've known this owner for over 35+ years he was that Mechanic(Owner) that loaned us his truck(Suburban he knew my husband) for days when he was fixing ours.. the guy that had a kind heart ,and would always have his shop guy(That Passed Away) take me home if needed while he was repairing my car . The guy that talked about his family to me his wife and son and so on he was Honest and forthright, so naturally I took my SUV to him I'd rather he make the money. So today I talked to his ROBOT(His Advisor talking guy )about a front axle that he "Said" I needed to replace the conversation was so mechanical and non conversational I advised I just had the boot replaced then the conversation got even more weird, I mentioned consumer protection for the previous place that fixed the boot and then mentioned consumer protection if its not fixed correctly, I told them to FIX IT even after getting the costs. I also asked to speak to the owner he put me on hold came back and said we don't want to fix your car ,come get it. So the owner refused to speak to me and told me to come get my car, that kind hearted big guy that helped people when they needed and made automotive repairs sound normal(I'm not a mechanic) he's become the Machine. So I picked up my SUV and told the (ROBOT) to thank the Owner for not speaking to me. This place is just like the Dealer maybe even worst now, just because you have a fancy coffee machine and you have Perrier Water in your cooler doesn't make you better. You've become the person I bet you never thought you would be. Good Luck!!!

When I called the gentleman and asked him if he was able to fix the clicking sound, He informed me that there was nothing they've never not been able to figure out When I arrived he charged me a hundred dollars and told me there's nothing wrong and that he couldn't figure it out. These guys don't know what they're doing... His attitude was very rude, go somewhere else..

Had my inspection and oil change plus alignment and they were very helpful and friendly as always. They weren't pushy about my alignment at all and shared it could probably wait but it would need done by next visit if tires continue to wear unevenly. They are always professional and explain all parts and functions to me when there is something to fix. During a past visit with my old car I mentioned I was thinking about new car shopping & Brett gave me a run down of when each of my prospective options start to have wear and tear- was so helpful. I tell all my family and friends to go there.

Service is always done with both integrity and competence. I’ve brought in both older and newer cars, and they always have treated me fairly, recommending appropriate service and then doing it well. No shilly-shallying with delays awaiting parts or not understanding what’s available. I’d bring anything here.

I was in Pittsburgh for a medical visit. I live in Ohio. As I was driving my low pressure light went on for my tires. I had no idea where to stop and get my tires checked. My husband suggested a chain automotive supply store and I looked at the map and realized I was a few blocks away. I was hoping my tired wouldn’t go flat by the time I made it there! As I was going down the street I saw Baum Blvd Automotive on my left. I decided to forego the chain store and go to a “local’ place. I was so happy I made that decision. There was a man outside helping another customer yet he still acknowledged me and told me he would be right in to help me. As soon as I entered the door I was greeted by another man who told me he would be right with me. He finished what he was doing rather quickly and approached me. He assured me whatever was wrong they would help me and for me not to worry. He was kind and sincere, not patronizing at all. He mentioned with the sudden drop in temperature that tires naturally lose pressure and hopefully that was all it was. Yet another man came around the corner and asked for my keys. They checked the air pressure and adjusted it accordingly. When they were done I fully expected to render payment for their services however the man behind the desk, said, “I’ll tell you what? Why don’t you just pay it forward?” And he smiled. I said well thank you so much and I assure you, I will do just that! Hopefully I will not find myself in Pittsburgh with car trouble again or potential car trouble but if i do, I know where I will be going!!! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! Anyone in the Pittsburgh area who finds themselves in need of auto work, I suggest you try Baum Boulevard Automotive…. Tell them the lady from Ohio with low tire pressure sent you !! And no worries….I did indeed pay it forward THAT day ….twice :)

If you want to be taken advantage of and ripped off because of your lack of automotive knowledge, this is the place! Baum Boulevard Automotive's reviews are positive because it looks like they've helped people get their vehicles back on the road when they were in dire straights; it was for kids at college or people who don't know any better / aren't aware of other options. They will try to win you over with a 2-year warranty, but what you might not be aware of is that all their costs are so inflated they could've done the work multiple times over within what they are charging you to do something once (and the very minuscule possibility of warranty work). The marketing, website, and initial communication would make you think that this is your friendly neighborhood and community automotive shop that cares about you, your well-being, and your vehicle, but don't get it twisted; it's all about $ and their bottom line like any other business and no different than corporate chains. This place does not have your best interest at heart, and you are just another opportunity for them to try to leech money from vulnerable people who are likely already in a tough spot if they're having car issues. When I spoke to one of the employees here to discuss having some work done on my vehicle, I was given a smooth sales pitch about their certified process to honor a two-year warranty on any work that could be done and was assured I would be taken care of. I wasn't told that their labor cost, and allocated labor hours for jobs were set up to justify charging any expense possible. I am a certified automotive technician on electrical systems and an Air Force veteran who's deployed to austere environments and had to work on vehicles in extreme, casual, and professional settings. I'm in a pinch since I don't have the tools or time, having separated from the military, to go back to school here in Pittsburgh with vehicle issues. Never in my life have I seen a shop try to charge $165 to investigate a check engine light. When I questioned why there was a charge, let alone so high, I was again given the sales pitch on warranty. I was told it takes a lot of time and labor hours for a tech to go through a check engine light process. This process typically takes less than 5 minutes, particularly given that my vehicle is an electrically very simple '03 Jeep Wrangler. You could make an argument for 10-15 minutes on a newer vehicle with a more complex electrical and computer system. Although most of my tools are in storage, I keep my personal OBDII vehicle diagnostic tool around for situations like this. I had already run the codes on the check engine light multiple times and was able to give those to them verbatim. It took all of <2 minutes. I entirely understand wanting to validate the same information to do work, but not charging a customer $165 before tax for an essentially laborless job. Unless of course you set up and run your business to grift customers who don't know any better.

We had a situation in Pittsburgh where a car was found not fit for its imminent return to Texas, and Chuck, Keith and the crew there got us in at short notice, did the necessary work and charged a fair price. We got home safely and we're very thankful.

Can't recommended these guys enough! I have two daughters in Pittsburgh both with cars that have more than a few miles on them. We tried a few other places before finding them but no one has been as easy to deal with as the people at Baum Automotive. If you are not from the area (or even if you are) and have a child going to school near by that needs work done on the car this is the best place to have the work done. Give them a shot I don't think you will be disappointed.

Came in because my car had a slight wobble in one wheel and the brakes squeaked. The first day they had my car, they decided the braking hardware components needed replaced because they weren't lubricated properly, but the pads were ok. They said the wobble "wasn't observed," (cool, very helpful). They called at the very end of the day to say they diagnosed this, but couldn't get it done today. The second time I took it back, they replaced the parts and said there was a slight squeak that remained. When I asked them to explain why they replaced the parts they did, they gave a condescending runaround about how they have 40 years of experience etc., only to eventually say that there was a chance (100% chance, it turns out) that I would need new pads and rotors. Within 5 minutes of driving off the lot my brakes were squeaking just as bad as before and the wobble was still there. Two days in the shop and a couple hundred dollars later for no improvement whatsoever. They either intended to provide a phony service or they failed to make the correct diagnosis/repair.

I have had multiple things done at Baum Blvd Automotive and have taken 2 different cars there. Ryan is very friendly and helpful upfront, and all the work was completed in one day. I also thought that the price was very reasonable and the quality of work was great! I will certainly be continuing to use Baum Blvd Automotive!

So thankful for this place! Brett and his team did an awesome job diagnosing and correcting issues with our daughter’s Grand Cherokee. As an out of state student, she was unsure about where to get her vehicle fixed without being taken advantage of. Baum Blvd Automotive did the job, documented and photographed the repair process for us (to share with her mechanic back home) and kept us updated. Final cost was reasonable and under the estimate. Brett’s very easy to work with and very personable! Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about Baum Automotive—but I'll try. They bring a combination of integrity and expertise that is so hard to find. My vehicle had two potentially serious problems—one especially that would have become much bigger if they hadn't done a careful inspection during an oil change. It’s an issue that’s common with the make and model of my car, one that creeps up, and that online forums confirmed could be a big deal. It was clear that I shouldn't mess around. I'd taken an older car here, and they'd done a great job. But I'd been out of town, and when I came back and bought a new vehicle, I just assumed that you go with the dealership. I'm so glad to be back with Baum. Keith and his crew were meticulous and thourough and made sure that there were no issues remaining before I picked the car up. It’s hard to convey in a short review the peace of mind that all their careful work gives a person. I think it's rare to find this. It was also a relief that Keith made sure the extended warranty I’d purchased when I bought the car covered its share of the bill. It's always a good feeling to know where the experts are. I think Baum Automotive is one of the gems in Pittsburgh, and I don’t think it’s too much to say that it's a place that helps make our city a better place to live.

I typically have a good experience but today when I went to drop my car for an appointment, they let me know they were too busy. They rescheduled me for two weeks later. I even confirmed my appointment the day before. The attendant told me as long as I dropped the car before 9am that they would keep my appointment.

I had such a pleasant experience with them, they were honest and got the work done super fast, in my opinion. I went to turn my car on last week and it was making a squealing noise under the hood. I’m not from Pittsburgh, I moved here years ago and this was my first car since moving here so I was unfamiliar with where to go. The reviews were good so I gave them a call. They told me to drop the car off the next morning, but couldn’t promise it would be fixed that day. I needed two belts replaced and an oil change, It was finished by 3 pm that same day. They were honest, straightforward and the men I dealt with were very friendly, patient people. The guy even took the time and went over with me how to add oil in my car between oil changes. They were upfront about costs, and I feel they were very fair with pricing. I’ll definitely go back to them.

As a customer that has gone to this place for car inspections and other services for a couple of years prior, I was not happy with my recent experience with them. I had to get my car inspection completed, however the check engine light was on due to a MAF (mass air flow) sensor issue. I told them about it as I was dropping off my car and they would look at it. Later on, we discuss what was going on with the car that's setting off the check engine light including getting a new MAF sensor, cleaning the throttle of the car and re-idle the car and discussed the price, which I didn't think it wouldn't be much for not much work, but the labor is just unreasonable and more expensive than the price of the part. Especially they messed up on their part to get the wrong model of the sensor, held my car for another day AND even charged me another hour of labor, which is so uncalled for. They even instructed me to take my car for a long distance drive, which I drove that, they still drove more of a car when I dropped it off to complete the emissions and inspection. Last thing that made my eyes roll to the back of my brain was possibly not being able to pick up my paperwork and keys on time before the place closes and I let they know and they charged me $13 just to store papers in my car and put my keys in a locker when in the past, I was never charged. Overall, I was not happy with this inconvenient experience. They may justify with a response, but that's how I felt with my recent experience and I don't think I'll go there for more inspections.

I am always impressed with Baum Blvd Automotive which is why I'm a regular customer. The staff is excellent, they always make sure I understand any issues with our vehicles (Audis), review options, share photos, and go over the timing needed for the work. And they use OEM parts. This visit they had a concern that the brake work would run into the next day (it didn't) and Cameron contacted me to check if that's OK with my car needs.

This garage has been my go-to for a couple of years now, and this review is extremely overdue. The mechanics and staff at Baum Blvd Auto are kind, communicative, caring, and THOROUGH with their work. They never pressure you or upsell you, but they are clear about when they discover future issues with your vehicle. They are knowledgeable and quick to share that insight so you can understand what's going on with your car. I used to religiously take my car to the dealership, but I've found that this business is full of caring and experienced staff members who want tue very best for their clients and the safety of the vehicles they service.

SCAM!!!! I went to get my state inspection completed and they lied about things being broken and tried to charge me $1,600 to get it fixed to "pass inspection." Claimed right control arm was broken and I would have to get both control arms replaced and a tire rotation, this is on a car that only has 55,000 miles. For that to be the case, the car would need to have run over speed bumps at 80 mph at least 60 times. I took it for a second option, and they said nothing was wrong with the car and it passed inspection. This business is untrustworthy, never come here!!

I brought my car to Baum Boulevard Automotive because I noticed some shaking in the front end, and I was concerned it would lead to an expensive repair. After a thorough 24-hour evaluation, I was relieved to learn that I only needed a minor adjustment. Honesty is crucial, and it's rare to find an auto mechanic shop that is both trustworthy and affordable. I highly recommend Baum Boulevard Automotive for their integrity and service.
